Abstract

This article was written to: (1) describe of text story about Adam prophet at text Story of Prophets version Azhari Al-Khalidi Rahmatullah; (2) describe the translation of story about Adam prophet at text Story of Prophets version Azhari Al-Khalidi Rahmatullah; (3) describe change language of story about Adam prophet at text Story of Prophets version Azhari Al-Khalidi Rahmatullah. The objeck of this study were story about Adam prophet at text Story of Prophets version Azhari Al-Khalidi Rahmatullah. The text was data processing by four step, is roundup of data, describe of the text, translation, and change language. The finding of the study is avalaible of text about Adam prophet at text Story of Prophets version Azhari Al-Khalidi Rahmatullah in Latin script and Indonesian language and more words that indicate old language charactheristic.

Abstract

This research is aimed to describe: (1) the structure of folklore legends Inyiak Susu Sabalah in Koto Gadang Village, West Tanjung Raya, District Agam; and (2) the social function of folklore legends Inyiak Susu Sabalah in Koto Gadang Village, West Tanjung Raya, District Agam. This sort of research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. This research data is structure and social function of folklore legends Inyiak Susu Sabalah in Koto Gadang Village, West Tanjung Raya, District Agam. Data is collected from informants through two stages, that is (1) recording folklore legends Inyiak Susu Sabalah, and (2) data collection about storytelling environment. The data were analyzed by the steps of: (1) a data inventory phase; (2) classification of data; (3) the stage of discussion or conclusion from data classification results; and (4) the stage of reporting. Based on the research, was found the following statements. (1) The structure of folklore legends Inyiak Susu Sabalah in Koto Gadang Village, West Tanjung Raya, District Agam including: (a) language style; (b) characterization; (c) background; (d) storyline; (e) theme; and (f) mandate. (2) Social functions contained in folklore is inheritance of oral traditions, owner’s society identity, and social control.Keywords: legends, Inyiak Susu Sabalah, Minangkabau

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the form of adjectives and (2) the level (level) adjectives in the ad magazine Gogirl !. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. The data of this research are sentences containing the element of adjective in the advertisement of Gogirl! Magazine. The source of this research data is Gogirl magazine! as many as 13 magazines. Data were collected by: (1) observing the data and (2) identifying the data. Data analysis is done by: (1) classifying data, (2) analyzing and interpreting data based on the theory used and (3) summarizing the data. Based on the data analysis found two research results. First, we find two forms of adjectives in Gogirl! Magazine ads, namely (1) basic adjectives and (2) derived adjectives, ie (a) baffled adjectives consisting of prefixes and suffixes, (b) repeated reduplication (dwilingga), (c) multiple adjectives, combination of two free morphemes, and (d) class displacement injections in the form of deverbalization adjectives. Second, there are four levels of adjectives, namely (1) positive level, marked with tipis, tinggi, bagus, pas; (2) the comparative level, characterized by a lebih mulus, lebih cerah, lebih aman, lebih tebal; (3) superlative level, marked terkecil, terbaru, terdekat, paling sehat; and (4) excessive levels, marked by the word ketagihan, keharuman mewah, super lengkap, maksimal.Keywords: adjectives, forms, levels, advertisement.

Abstract

This article was written to describe the Minangkabau language phonological system in Kenagarian Singkarak based on (1) the system of vowels, (2) consonant system, (3) diphthong, (4) distribution of vowels, consonants and diphthongs, (5) form syllables. The method used in this research was descriptive method. The data in this study were 200 basic vocabularies of Morris Swades and basic cultural vocabulary. The data was collected with basic techniques such “pancing” technique, followed by “cakap semuka” technique. The finding theMinangkabau language phonological system in Kenagarian Singkarak research is 5 vocal, 20 consonant, 4 phoneme diphthongs, distribution vocal complete, while distribution consonant consisting of 8 consonants complete and 12 incomplete and distribution diphthong incomplete and form syllables consisting a vowel (V), a vowel and a consonant (VC), a consonant and a vocal (CV) and a consonant, a vowel, a of consonants (CVC).   Kata Kunci: fonologi, vokal, konsonan, diftong,

Abstract

This research was written to describe the type of speech act in question and its speaking strategy. This type of research is qualitative which uses descriptive methods. The data source of this research is the question utterances used by the host on the AFD Now program on the CNN Indonesia television station. The results of this study are as follows. First, there are 5 types of speech acts to ask, namely (1) the speech act asks who asks for a yes/no answer or yes/no; (2) the speech act asks who asks for information about the elements of the sentence; (3) the speech act asks who asks for an excuse; (4) the speech act asks who asks for opinions; and (5) the speech act asks who asks for a reinforcing answer. The questioning act that is most often used is a questioning act that asks for information yes / no or yes / no as much as 49 data or 36%. Second, there are 4 types of narrative strategies, namely (1) strategies to speak frankly without further ado; (2) the strategy of speaking frankly with the pleasantries of positive politeness; (3) strategies to speak frankly with small talk of negative politeness; (4) strategies speak vaguely. Among the four narrative strategies, the most frequently used strategy is to speak frankly with positive politeness, as many as 31 data from 138 data or 22.8%. The host does not use the strategy of speaking silently or silently because the AFD Now program is an interactive oral dialogue between the emcee and the guest speaker. Keywords: Speech Strategy, Speech Acts, Television Station Events.

Abstract

This research means to describe the image of women in the novel of Bunga-bunga Rindu by Badri Wahab,  that (a) the image of women in term of phsical, (b) the image of women in trem of psychic, and (c) the image of women in trem of social development. This data of reseach is the image of women in the novel of Bunga-bunga Rindu by Badri Wahab iscreated by Libri Publizer in 2008. Based on the analysis of data are found that: (a) the image of women in trem of psycal is beutiful women, (b) the image of women in trem of psychic is diligent and smart women, (c) the image of women in trem of social can see from embrace of a women figure that: (1) as a wife, (2) as a child, (3) as a mother, (4) as a sister, (5) as a friend, (6) as a doktor, (7) as a sister in law, (8) as a house kieper, (9)as a sister in law, (10) as a teacher, (11)  and as a mother in law.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) types of conjunction contained alquran surah Al-Ma’idah, (2) expose conjunction meaning contained in the translation of alquran surah Al-Ma’idah. This types of research is qualitative by using descriptive method. The data of this research is a sentence in the translation of alquran surah Al-Ma’idah containing are surah Al-Ma’idah and Al-Ma’idah alquran translation.Based on the research data, two types of conjunctions an ten conjunctions are found. These types of conjunctions are coordinated conjunctions and subordinate conjunctions. Coordinate conjunctuons are found that is: and, or, and but. The subordinate conjunction found is: when, after, before, until, during, when, if, because, that, with, in order, though. The source of this research data is story about local legend Awang Tikuluak in Kanagarian Sungai Sariak Sub-district VII Koto District Padang Pariaman. There are four stages to analyze the data. First, data inventory, Second, data classification. Third, conclude the data classification result. Fourth, write the research report. Based on result of the study concluded: (1) The folklore of local legend Awang Tikuluak told by informant with local language, the main character is Saleha, and theme of the story is about rebellious child, and (2) social function of the local legend Awang Tikuluak are for education, cultural preservation, and group identity.Keywords: folklore, structure, social function

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the pleasures of the personality, (2) describe the prestige of recreation, (3) describe the pleasure of the group, and (4) describe juvenile delinquency in novel teenlit Love in B Minor by Anindita. The data of this research is the element of the novel teenlit Love in B Minor by Anindita. The source of this research data is novel teenlit Love in B Minor by Anindita. Data analysis technique is done through four stages, namely first, inventory. Second, identifying and classifying data through speech / action of characters and narrators abstracted as urban teen profile data covering personality fun, recreational prestige, group fun and juvenile delinquency. Third, interpret the data. Fourth draw conclusions and make a report. The results include 14 personality pleasure data, 8 recreational prestige data, 10 joy group data and 2 juvenile delinquency data in novel teenlit Love In B Minor by Anindita.Keywords : urban teenagers, teenlit novel, literature
