Abstract

This research is about Marketing Communication of religious tourism in Lamongan Regency, which is interesting to study, because Lamongan Regency is rich in various kinds of new tourism potential to be developed, one of which is the Indonesian Islamic Art Museum tour. However, the Department of Tourism and Culture has not been able to maximize the important role in the development of tourist attraction. So this research aims to know and describe marketing communication strategy and the obstacles faced by Tourism and Culture Department in developing Tourism in Lamongan regency, and also know how visitor response to tour Indonesian Islamic Art Museum.This research is done the location of Tourism and Culture of the Lamongan Regency. The problem of this research is how the marketing communication strategy and the obstacle of Tourism and Culture Department develop tourism Indonesian Islamic Art Museum in the Lamongan regency and how the visitor response to tour Indonesian Islamic Art Museum. This research uses a qualitative descriptive qualitative paradigm method through various stages of preliminary observation, interview, and documentation related to the marketing communication strategy of the Tourism and Culture Department.The results showed that the implementation of the marketing communication strategy of Tourism and Kebudayan Department in developing tourism Indonesian Islamic Art Museum by doing stages knowing the potential of tourism Indonesian Islamic Art Museum, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Then the obstacles found in the implementation of marketing communication strategy is the lack of funds, communicators, messages, and media. Then the response of visitors is satisfied with the facilities and infrastructure of tourist Indonesian Islamic Art Museum.Keywords: Marketing Communication, Tourism and Culture Department.

Abstract

Program bedah rumah di Jember mendapatkan perhatian yang sangat luas terutama bagi masyarakat pedesaan. Sosok pemuka pendapat seperti kiai dan perangkat desa mempunyai peranan yang berarti dalam program tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pemuka pendapat dan hambatan yang dihadapi dalam program bedah rumah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, sedangkan teori yang dipakai adalah teori yang berkaitan dengan opinion leader. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan Peran pemuka pendapat di desa Sukorambi Jember dalam hal ini Perangkat desa, Kyai/Bindereh dan tokoh masyarakat sangat dirasa oleh masyarakat, sedangkan kendala yang dihadapi adalah lemahnya komunikasi yang harmonis antara pemuka pendapat dengan perangkat desa yang disebabkan oleh kepetingan yang kurang serasi.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the implementation of government policies related to a 30% quota for women in the East Java PKS DPW, in addition to knowing its implementation. The social controversy responding to the PKS policy in presenting female legislative candidates aims to show to the public that there is a conflict between government policy and Islamic dogma which is the principle in the PKS. This study used qualitative research methods. The results showed that the implementation of government policies related to the 30% quota for women in the PKS East Java DPW had exceeded those specified, which was at 46%, whereas according to their interpretation that the prevailing religious dogma had no conflict between prevailing teachings with the government's policy of 30% of women's quota, all of them have their share in life. Al-Quran Surah An-Nisa verse 34 and Surah Al-Ahzab verse 33 textually prohibit women from becoming leaders, this is a source of religious dogma. Social controversy about women becoming leaders is eliminated when they have competence and capacity because the existence of leaders here is not in the context of congregational prayer but rather in carrying out state and national work programs.

Abstract

K.H Abdurrahman Wahid is a religious and political figure in Indonesia. As a religious leader Gus Dur was known as the Chair of the PBNU and the great ulama of the descendants of the Banu Hashim. As a politician, Gus Dur is the fourth President of the Republic of Indonesia. Gus Dur's political communication as a religious figure and the President was known to be controversial. The controversial rhetoric of political communication turns out to have a hidden meaning that can be expressed through the study of discourse analysis using the method presented by Teun A. van Dijk. This study uses an interpretive approach with a critical paradigm. The 2001 Presidential Decree became the main focus of the author in expressing the meaning contained in the controversial phenomenon. The results showed that controversial political communication carried out by Gus Dur turned out to save the people from unconstitutional actions. Key words: Political Communication, K.H Abdurrahman Wahid, Critical Discourse Study.

Abstract

Bermain melekat dalam kehidupan manusia mulai dari anak-anak, dewasa, dan orang tua, merasakan bermain adalah hal yang menyenangkan, dengan demikian. bermain lebih tua dari budaya. Naluri bermain manusia sudah ada semenjak bayi sampai beranjak balita, remaja, dan seterusnya, kesemuanya merupakan bagian dari naluriah manusia. Hal tersebut disebabkan game atau permainan memberikan kegunaan yaitu mengasah kemampuan seperti berpikir, membuat strategi, dan sekaligus untuk kesenangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggali lebih banyak informasi tentang budaya bermain video game dalam perspektif Leisure Class Middle Lower di Kabupaten Jember. Terdapat 8 informan yang akan menjadi sumber data yang berasal dari gamer militan. Teori yang digunakan adalah Leisure Class Thorsnton Veblen. Hasil penelitian sebagian gamer merasakan bahwa bermain video game awalnya hanya mengisi waktu luang saja ada pula hanya diajak teman, tetapi lama-kelamaan menjadi kecanduan. Dan kebiasaan bermain video game ini pada awalnya banyak diperkenalkan oleh teman waktu usia sekolah dasar, biasanya pada hari libur atau pulang sekolah. Beranjak dewasa mereka tidak bisa lepas dari kebiasaan bermain video game dan memainkannya melalui game yang ada di handphone. Melihat kenyataan ini menunjukkan bermain video game menjadi bagian dari kegiatannya sehari hari, dan mengisi waktu luangnya. Kata-kata kunci: Budaya Bermain, video game, Leisure Class

Abstract

Pertambangan adalah rangkaian kegiatan dalam rangka upaya pencarian, penambangan(penggalian), pengolahan, pemanfaatan dan penjualan bahan galian. Tetapi disini semua dilakukan tanpa seizin dari pemerintah(ilegal).Banyak masyarakat yang belum memahami mengenai dampak dari pertambangan, khususnya penambangan emas yang dilakukan secara ilegal, selain itu penambangan emas secara ilegal sudah melanggar hukum. Dan di sini peran polisi sangat dibutuhkan, guna menjelaskan kepada masyarakat mengenai dampak dari penambangan emas secara ilegal, serta menjelaskan bahwa penambangan emas ilegal ini melanggar hukum yang ada.Komunikasi interpersonal merupakan salah satu media yang tepat dalam menangani permasalahan pertambangan emas secara ilegal ini, komunikasi interpersonal sebagai sebuah proses komunikasi antara komunikan dan komunikator yang ditandai dengan terwujudnya saling pengertian, kesenangan, saling mempengaruhi, hubungan sosial yang baik,juga adanya tindakan nyata sebagai umpan balik. Polisi dapat melakukan pertemuan-pertemuan secara langsung dengan masyarakat seperti penyuluhan atau melalui cara yang lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah kualitatif, yaitu wawancara langsung dengan pihak-pihak terkait.

Abstract

Self disclosure is one of the keys to success of interpersonal communication. Because in self disclosure, communicators will express some things about themselves to the communicant. In this case, some of the students of the Communication Sciences of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Muhammadiyah Jember expressed themselves through the Instagram Story application feature, which Instagram is a social media which is a public space and can be seen and accessed by many people. Therefore, it is necessary to know how to use Instagram Story and how self disclosure is carried out through the Instagram Story application feature among students of the Communication Studies Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Muhammadiyah Jember University. The focus of this study was to find out how self-disclosure was carried out by students of the Communication Sciences Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Jember. To describe the focus of the study, the research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection methods in the form of interviews with several 2015 Communication Studies students, class 2016, batch 2017, and batch 2018. The technique for determining the data sources that researchers use is snowball sampling, where the researcher chooses one Communication Science student who will be the key informant to then provide instructions, who are the informants from the Communication Science students who are competent to provide data.The results obtained from this study are the first, students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science Communication Study Program at Muhammadiyah Jember University always use Instagram Story every day. Some of them even share content every day to Instagram Story, some only open their accounts every day to see posts from their friends without sharing content to Instagram Story. Second, self disclosure carried out by students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Sciences Communication University of Muhammadiyah Jember is 1) Open Area, 2) Blind Area, 3) Hidden Area, 3) Unknown Area. Open areas and hidden areas are the areas most frequently carried out by informants in this study, almost all informants were included in the area. In the blind area there were only a few informants, and in unknown areas none was included, because in this area it was explained that there was information about informants that were not known to informants and even other people through Instagram Story. To explore this area, intense and intimate interactions can be carried out. However, this does not apply to self-disclosure through Instagram Story, because Instagram Story is a public space that can be seen anytime by anyone.Keywords: Interpersonal Communication, Self Disclosure, Social Media, Instagram Story.

Abstract

Pilkades as a venue for political consolidation at the village level provides an educating political education. Residents are openly confronted with prospective "Kalebun" (village heads). The interesting thing to study in the implementation of Pilkades is the stage of the campaign where each candidate "Kalebun" competes to introduce himself, give promises, approach the village community, and several other approaches through the communication process, both directly carried out by the candidates " Kalebun "or by the successful team. This study aims, among others: To describe the role of political communication carried out by "Kalebun" candidates in winning elections; the form of communication carried out; obstacles faced in political communication with villagers in an effort to win the election of the "Kalebun" and the response of the village community. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The target of this research is the selected "Kalebun" candidates and "Kalebun" candidates who lose the following with their successful team and the community as voters. Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh sebuah kenyataan bahwa terpaan media dan teknologi komunikasi akan dapat menggeser pola komunikasi interpersonal dan juga etika komunikasi. Fenomena ini juga melanda masyarakat pedesaan Kabupaten Jember, hanya mempunyai pergeseran pola komunikasi daerah selatan dan daerah utara. Maka permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah Bagaimanakah pergeseran pola komunikasi interpersonal dan juga pergeseran etika komunikasi. Konsep yang digunakan adalah komunikasi sebagai proses sosial dan metodologi yang dipakai adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan informan adalah banyak mengambil masyarakat yang mewakili masyarakat Jember selatan dan Jember utara. Penelitian itu menghasilkan bahwa telah terjadi pergeseran pola komunikasi interpersonal yang ditandai dengan semakin banyaknya masyarakat yang menggunakan HP sebagai alat bantu komunikasi interpersonal. Bahasa yang digunakan sedikit berbeda bila daerah Jember selatan tidak mengalami pergeseran yang berarti, karena sejak dahulu telah menggunakan dua bahasa yaitu bahasa daerah dan Bahasa Indonesia. Sedang di Jember utara masih didominasi oleh bahasa daerah(Madura). Sedangkan etika bahasa juga telah mengalami pergeseran yang dapat dilihat pada penggunaan bahasa yang mengarah pada penggunaan bahasa nasional terutama dikalangan muda. Sedang penggunaan bahasa nonverbal seperti tata krama dalam berkomunikasi semakin ditinggalkan.

Abstract

Brand is the important thing in the process of buying a product. The majority of the Indonesia population is Muslim. Many products in the market are doubtful about the level of halalness. This study examines the representation of Islamic brands of coffee products to influence purchasing decisions. Although many factors influence purchasing decisions such as price and taste, the focus of research remains on Islamic brands. This study is entitled Representation of Islamic Brands in Coffee Products - Roland Barthes's Semiotic Analysis of Coffee Product Brands Sakinah. The Semiotic Roland Barthes approach which is the basis of the analysis of this research is because many cultural elements will be involved. This qualitative research approach with analytical triangulation techniques which are data triangulation, method triangulation and theory triangulation. The results of this study are Islamic brands be easily accepted by the Indonesian market, which is predominantly Muslim. By using Islamic brands that have an impact on consumer confidence in the halalness of the product. In addition, using familiar words such as Sakinah will speed up the process of receiving products in the community. Thus, it will be easily to promoting products in the Indonesia because Islamic brands similar with halal food.
