Abstract

The quality of a pregnant woman's diet is important for maternal health, fetal growth and development. Nutritional counseling interventions are effective in preventing complications for both mother and fetus. This study aims to determine differences in the quality of the diet of pregnant women in the treatment group and the control group, knowing the difference in the quality of the diet of pregnant women before and after intensive nutrition counseling using leaflet media. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a one post pre control group design approach. This research was conducted at Polongbangkeng Utara Health Center, Takalar Regency. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling method. The sample in this study was pregnant women trimester I-III who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The group that received intensive nutrition counseling was 35 people and the group without intensive nutrition counseling was 35 people. Intensive nutritional counseling was provided by researchers with the help of media leaflets then mentoring with a target of six sessions / meetings for 45 minutes. Every 7 (seven) days will be assessed again the quality of the diet per individual Respondents record the food consumed in URT (Household Size) or gram, then researchers estimate / estimate URT (estimated food record) into a measure of weight (grams). The calculation of diet quality is calculated using Nutrisurvey 2007 software. The results showed there were differences in the quality of the diets of pregnant women in the treatment and control groups with a p value = 0.002 <0.05. The results of statistical tests using Wilcoxon indicate there are differences in the quality of the diet of pregnant women before and after intensive nutrition counseling is given (p <0.05). Intensive nutritional counseling using leaflet media can improve the quality of the diet of pregnant women.

Abstract

Levels of pollutants produced by PT DI after passing through wastewater are generally below the quality standard including chromium, but there are some parameters that exceed the standard quality including COD parameter. Although the levels of hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) below the quality standard, but should get attention, because of its accumulative can endanger the environment and health. The purpose of the study was to determine the efficiency of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) metal plating PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) in lowering levels of hexavalent chrome (Cr6+) and COD. The study was quasi-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. Population is wastewater generated from metal plating process of PT DI, the sample is part of waste water taken from the influents, chemical processing, and effluent. Sampling method is using grab sampling method (immediate sample), with sampling techniques for physical and chemical examination. Data processing was performed using SPSS soft ware. Data analysis using Paired samples T-test and one way anova. At the influent concentration value is the same temperature of 25 0C, pH 12.7 to 13.8. Levels of hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) ranged between 1.03 mg/l to 2.10 mg/l. While the COD level ranged from 4336.64 mg/l to 4898.88 mg/l. In the process of temperature levels ranging from 25.5 0C to 26 0C, pH levels ranging from 4 to 5. While the COD level ranged from 3259.20 mg/l to 3900.00 mg/l. At the same effluent concentration value temperature of 25 0C, pH levels ranging from 7.1 to 7.3. Levels of hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) ranged between 0.01 mg/l to 0.40 mg/l. While the COD level ranged from 2400.00 mg/l to 3656.48 mg/l. After passing through the WWTP, the percentage decrease in levels of hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) ranged from 72.73% to 99.04% with an average decrease of 89.77%. Thus WWTP PT DI is efficient in reducing the levels of hexavalent chromium (Cr6+). Percentage reduction in COD level ranged from 16.91% to 44.66% with an average decrease of 30.62%. Thus WWTP PT DI has not been efficient in reducing the COD level. No difference between the levels of hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) and COD in the influent and effluent. For hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) 0.002 p value less than 0.05, for the COD level of 0.003 p value less than 0.05. There was no significant difference between concentration and effluent COD in the process, with a p value of 0,056 is greater than 0,05

Abstract

The implementation of the Maternal and Child Health Program (MCH) aims to determine and increase the range and quality of MCH services effectively and efficiently. Antenatal care provides a platform for important health service functions, including health promotion, screening and diagnosis, and disease prevention so as to produce proper management during pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of the application of Smart Continuity of Care and the MCH handbook for early detection of pregnancy risk factors. The research method used was quasi experimental (pretest-posttes only control design). The population in this study were all midwives who worked in the Tanete Puskesmas and Bontobangun Puskesmas and all pregnant women who did antenatal checks at the Tanete Puskesmas and Bontobangun. In this study using a sample of midwives and pregnant women. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The number of samples was 36 people (18 intervention groups and 18 control groups). Determination of the number of samples of pregnant women using the Lemeshow formula, obtained samples of pregnant women as many as 44 people divided into two groups (22 intervention groups and 22 control groups). The results showed there were differences in effectiveness between early detection of pregnancy risk factors using the MCH handbook and using the Monsca application with p-value <(p = 0.05), in terms of convenience (p = 0,000), speed (p = 0.006), security (p = 0.005) and data accuracy (p = 0,000). So it can be concluded that the use of the Smart Continuity of Care application for early detection of risk factors for pregnancy is more effective without ignoring the use of the MCH book as a tool for MCH services.

Abstract

Quality and ongoing antenatal care is considered effective in reducing complications during pregnancy. It's important to maintain a healthy pregnancy, improve pregnancy outcomes by identifying complications, promoting healthy behavior and giving clients the opportunity to be actively involved with health care providers. This study aims to determine differences in knowledge of pregnant women about handling risk factors for pregnancy before and after the Android-based Smart Continuity of Care (MONSCA) application and before and after conventional methods (the MCH handbook) are given. The research was carried out in the Tanete Health Center and the Bontobangun Health Center in Bulukumba Regency. The method used is an experimental quasi-experimental type of research (pretest-posttes only control design). In this study, a sample of 18 pregnant women was divided into two groups (9 intervention groups and 9 control groups). The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data were analyzed by different test by looking at normality and Wilcoxon test to see differences in knowledge. The results showed there were differences in the knowledge of pregnant women regarding the handling of pregnancy risk factors before and after the MCH handbook was given with a value of p = 0.024 (p <0.05), it appeared that pregnant women had increased knowledge but there were also pregnant women whose knowledge remained. And there is a difference in the knowledge of pregnant women regarding the handling of pregnancy risk factors before and after the MONSCA application is given with a value of p = 0.007 (p <0.05), it appears that all pregnant women have increased knowledge after being given the MONSCA application. The conclusion of increasing knowledge of pregnant women before and after the Android-based Smart Continuity of Care (MONSCA) application is better than the MCH book. It is hoped that this research can be developed in web-based childbirth childbirth care.
