Abstract

This research is motivated by the number of mother languages that experience shifts and are even threatened with extinction, if language maintenance is not carried out. This study aims to determine the loyalty of the people of Cireundeu traditional village in maintaining their mother tongue. The use of descriptive qualitative methods is applied to the data obtained in the form of local wisdom Cireundeu traditional village as a tourist location. The consistency of the Cireundeu indigenous people in safeguarding and preserving the local wisdom participated in maintaining their mother tongue, namely Sundanese. This can be proven from the results of research, namely (1) the use of Sundanese as a means of social communication, (2) Sundanese as the language of instruction in religious ceremonies, (3) expressions of Cireundeu indigenous people's beliefs. Furthermore, this research is expected to be able to build positive language awareness and enrich sociolinguistic studies, especially regarding language maintenance.

Abstract

Prokem language is a language that is often used by adolescents, especially among high school students, which in its use often occurs in language symptoms in phonological, morphological, and semantic aspects. The purpose of this study are: 1) to describe the language of the program used by high school students, and 2) to describe the results of the analysis of the language of the aspects of language (phonology, morphology and semantics). Qualitative descriptive method is a method used by researchers in processing data. Data is collected using the observation method. All high school students were used by researchers as a population and 25 students as samples. The results showed: 1) high school students still use professional language when communicating with adults through WhatsApp social media, 2) based on the results of analysis from phonological aspects, students often change certain fonts, such as phonemes / a / phonemes / e /, phoneme additions , as well as the use of regional languages, 3) based on morphological aspects, there are uses of affixes derived from Sundanese, and 4) based on semantic aspects, students often use acronyms derived from English as well as prokem from Javanese and Arabic.

Abstract

This research discusses about various spelling errors that aimed to analyze (1) misuse of acronym or abbreviation (2) misapplication of capitalization (3) mistyping words in one of the news titles “ Isu TKA Menjelang Pilpres” on Tribun newspaper 2018 edition. To focus the research then the researcher in the newspaper. This research uses descriptive qualitative method by using data collecting technique that is looking for newspaper and read it. While the research instrument is the researcher himself and the description of errors and improvement. Data analyst techniques used are reading, marking errors, identifying, analyzing and concluding. The result of this study indicated that the erroneous use of Indonesian spelling on one of the headline in the newspaper Tribun Jabar edition 25 April 2018 as many as 6 (six) spelling mistakes consisting of : (1) errors in the use of acronyms by 1 (one) errors, (2) misapplication of capital letters of 2 (two) errors, (3) mistyping mistakes 1 (one) error, (4) the connect error is 1 (one) error, (5) mistakes writing people names as many as 1 (one) error.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties faced by students when writing exposition texts, one of which is the lack of students' knowledge and interest in writing exposition text because students still feel lazy to express ideas in writing, especially determining their linguistic elements. The statement is based on the results of interviews with Indonesian language subject teachers. So that researchers try to improve the creativity of students in writing exposition texts, one of them is by using the mind mapping method in learning to write exposition text. The researcher used an experimental method with design (one group pre-post test) by collecting data in the form of final test results (pre-test) and final test (post-test) with a sample of 25 high school students. Based on the research data, the comparison of the results of exposition text writing learning with mind mapping method influences the learning process can be proven from the results of the comparison obtained by students having quite significant comparisons, before using mind mapping methods obtain an average value of 74.96 and after using the method have average value of 83.16. So learning using the mind mapping method can be applied in learning exposition text writing because there is an increase in the results of the average student score.

Abstract

This research is triggered by the more the use of language Alay among teenagers in particular the rise of the student research aims 1) the use of language in student ikip siliwangi, and 2) to know the impact of the use of language Alay among students siliwangi. the technique of data collection benupa questionnaire respondents in the language Alay is students siliwangi a number of 30. the results showed 1) daily among students IKIP Siliwangi used used in communicaton activities language good with friends Seb or by the environment, and 2) the impact of the use of Alay among students, berpengruh to the use of Indonesian, of which students less familiar with standard language, and students less understand the use of spelling the right.

Abstract

The novel “Lafal Cinta” is chosen by the reader to be reviewed because the reader is interested with the religious genre chosen by the novelist and in the choice of words used in the novel. The author is able to convey messages with words that are capable of touching the reader’s heart and the story that is raised is common story in everyday life so the readers not difficult to understand the plot . The aim of the reader is to study the novel “Lafal Cinta” which is in addition to knowing the plot of the novel “Lafal Cinta” itself, readers also want to study the novel “Lafal Cinta” and realize their role as an appreciatio in appreciating, judging, and deepening a workand to know the moral message contained in the novel “Lafal Cinta”. In this case, the pragmatic approach chosen by the reader to study a literary work is in the form of a novel entitled “Lafal Cinta” by Kurniawan Al-Isyhad. The novel “Lafal Cinta” is a religious genre vovel and very interesting to read. Through this novel the reader is invited to contemplate every mistake that has been done and learn to take lessons from those mistakes and not repeat them again.

Abstract

Research and analysis conducted by the author this time talking about the "effectiveness of students Learning At Home".  In the era of technological developments such as today's students are required to be able to divide their time between learning by playing gadgetnya. It is intended that students can compete with thousands of other students who are in Indonesia and even in foreign countries. This study aims to determine the suitability of the theory of the effectiveness of student learning at home with the facts that occurred in the field. This research included in this type of research to find out information as well as the alignment of the theory which refers to the expert opinion in the field. objects in this study were students from two different educational levels in order to create sustainable results with theory and that happens on the field. The objects of this study are that the authors take some students from two different levels of education is high school education level xl class either sains or social and the junior high school level VII class or class VIII.

Abstract

Students' understanding of writing biographical texts identified is still less active and learning outcomes are not good, so it is feared that it will decrease further. The alternative used by researchers is the application of game learning strategies to brain teaser analysis that aims to improve student activity and learning outcomes in biographical writing skills. The researcher used the pre-experimental design research design through the one-group-pretest-posttest approach. Data collection used is the plan for implementing learning, observation, and testing. Samples taken by researchers in the X3 class of SMAN 5 Subang were 30 students. The results of the initial value analysis and final value analysis of students show an increase in writing skills in biographical text material. The results of the observation of teacher learning in the 90% class were carried out and student learning in the 85% class was conducted. In the pre-test, student activeness was only 63%, with details of 19 students active students, and student work results, 5 students got high scores, 14 moderate grades, and 11 low scores, then after being given treatment with game learning strategies obtained brain teaser analysis the results of the post-test activities of students increased to 90%, with details of active students 27 students, and the work results of students who scored high 12 students, moderate grades 15 students, and low scores 3 students. Thus the application of game learning strategies to brain teaser analysis has a positive impact, namely a significant increase in learning outcomes, both activeness and the value of learning outcomes obtained.

Abstract

Literature is a paper that is made with many ways of imagination, especially in terms of appreciating the quite complex style and manner that is varied by the appreciator. The researcher tried to apply literary appreciation techniques which especially appreciated poetry by analyzing the text of the arguments contained in poetry. The researcher formulated several problems that might occur during the research process, namely how the results of the text argumentation in learning to read poetic texts. The method used is a descriptive method that allows a broader description of the object being analyzed. The results of the analysis obtained are about the elements that make up poetry, style and the style of language used, diction and meaning implied in the content of the poem. The researcher expects a lot of benefits from the analysis of the poem which at least adds insight into poetry, analysis of poetry and appreciation in different ways and points of view.

Abstract

This research aims to see the effect of using song text in improving the ability to write short story text in high school. Short story is included in the material in Indonesian lesson that is able to increase students' writing skill, but the fact that writing is still less a priority in school, one of them in writing short story because of their various obstacles in writing. The method used in this research is quantitative quasi-experiments, students of grade XI SMA Pasundan 3 Cimahi 2017/2018 which become population in research, which become sempel in research is student of class XI IPS 2 (experiment) which given treatment in the form of research method and class XI IPS 1 as a control class (control) that is not given treatment of research methods. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of preliminary and final tests. Based on hypothesis t test calculation, the result t / table ≤ t / arithmetic ≥ t / table, that is 1.67 <4.34> 2.39. The hypothesis of this research is the use of text media songs in an effort to improve writing short story text. Based on the results of data analysis, the research hypothesis can be proven true, seen from the increase in the average value in writing short stories. The average value of the original 53.3 increased to 78.3. This shows that the use of the song text media is effective in improving the ability to write short story text.
