Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the poem of the machine's chronicle of  Heri Isnaini using a semiotics approach. The focus of discussion of this article is the aspect of the mark that appears throughout the poem and is analysed so that it can represent the mark of the poem. The study is on the background because the author is interested in analyzing the poem, because the content in the poem tells of the wheel of life and destination that become the downstream of each human journey. Analysis in this study uses descriptive methods. A descriptive method is research that attempts to describe a symptom, an event occurring at the present time or an actual problem. Analyzing the data in the study: (1) selecting poetry and reading machine poems by Heri Isnaini's history, (2) analyzing the poem using a semiotics approach, (3) describing the meaning of the poem. Research shows that this poem refers to something textually and has textual meaning to the text for the reader to know, that is, to illustrate it as the time humans go through life. Human existence is inherent in its relation to space and time. Reality shows that the dimensions of space and time are the affirmation of human existence. Human identity is partly determined by its perception of time, that is, how humans perceive and treat time symbolically in life. This poem, therefore, is especially meaningful to read by both young and adults because it has meaningful words that resonate with real life.

Abstract

Social criticism contained in literary works indicates irregularities in social life. Literature that is present in the midst of society can be used as a social controller. One of the literary works capable of this function is a short story. In every literary work including short stories, like other arts, made not only for entertainment. Furthermore, every work of art tries to convey a message about the values that the creator considers correct. In order to understand social criticism and values, the reader must first analyze it in order to grasp the meaning conveyed by the author. Therefore, through this article researchers are interested in discussing the things described above. This article analyzes the social criticism and moral values contained in the short story "Perihal      Orang Miskin yang Bahagia" by Agus Noor. The study uses the sociology of literature review as a research perspective. The resulting data is in the form of descriptions in the form of words because this research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The purpose of this research is to (1) describe the social criticism contained in the short story entitled "Perihal Orang Miskin yang Bahagia" by Agus Noor, (2) to describe the moral messages contained in the short story entitled "Perihal Orang Miskin yang Bahagia" by Agus Noor. Researchers found 13 findings of social criticism in the fields of politics, economics, culture, and law. While the moral values that were found were 5.

Abstract

This research was conducted out on the backround of researchers’ curiosity about instrinsic elements and moral values in one of the short stories by Ali Akbar Navis entitled “Robohnya Surau Kami”. This research was conducted by analyzing using qualitative descriptive methods. The purpose of study is to describe the cohesiveness between intrinsic elements and moral values contained inthe short story “Robohnya Surau Kami” by Ali Akbar Navis. Analyzing this short story is done by collecting data as follows : reading the short story “Robohnya Surau Kami”, analyzing the instrinsic elements and moral values contained in it. After conducting research by analyzing it, it turns out that Ali Akbar Navis’s efforts in combining instrinsic elemennts consisting of : theme, plot, setting, characterization, languange style, point of view and mandate are done well so that the uniqueness and systematicityof his story are well conveyed. In addition, the moral values contained in this short stiry are conveyed clearly to the reader which contains the views that must be applied in life.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem in writing learning activities, especially in exposition text writing activities that occur in SMA Kartika XIX-4 Cimahi. This study aims to determine the extent of students' ability to write exposition texts. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The sample in this study were all students of class X MIPA with a total of 22 students. The results of this study indicate that all students of class X MIPA can write exposition texts well, although there are some students who have not been able to put their ideas or ideas into written form. Based on the data that has been analyzed, students' written test scores get an average score of 76.68 and fall into the "Good" category. Therefore the results of the average value can be concluded that the skills of writing exposition text aided by visual media are suitable for use in learning activities to write textual exposition.

Abstract

AbstractLiterary work is an essay that evokes feelings, experiences and fantasies which are poured into writing using beautiful and interesting language. Poetry is a work of fiction with many areas of special or implied meanings that can attract writing lovers. Often poetry is analogous to other expressions so that the meaning is difficult to apply, poetry poetry has an implied meaning. Therefore, the researcher was interested in conducting a study of Chairil Anwar's work entitled "Derai-Derai Cemara" with a mimetic approach. There are many words or diction that are difficult to interpret, first the poem "Derai-Derai Cemara" reflects or mimics human life with pine trees. This poetry is dissected using a mimetic approach, which is to examine the relationship between facts or imitations in literary works. The research objective was to determine the implied meaning content and the extent to which it was related to the realities of life that the author lived. This research method uses qualitative methods that describe or describe the contents of the poetry. This study interprets and tries to understand the meaning of the natural aspects contained in the poem "Derai-Derai Cemara" by Chairil Anwar. So that the meaning implied in the poem can be clearly described.

Abstract

Poetry as one type of literary work consisting of a series of words and contain meaning. Therefore, to understand poetry it is necessary to have an in-depth study. Researchers chose June Rain's poetry as the object of poetry to be analyzed. June rain poetry uses a variety of languages so as to produce deep meaning for the reader. The formulation of the problem in this study is What is the inner structure contained in the June rain poem ?. The purpose of this research  is to describe the inner structure contained in the June rain poem. The research method in this study is a structural approach that aims to find out and describe the inner structure contained in the poem. Data analysis techniques in this research are poetry reading, analyzing the inner structure of pusii and giving conclusions. The results of the poetry analysis contain the theme of love and approach to have a feeling or a moving atmosphere because of the sincerity of his love and have a tone that tends to be low and calm emotions and have a mandate so that every human being has the character of being stoic, wise and discerning. Keywords: Analysis, Inner Structure, Poetry

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of interest of students in writing which is caused by the difficulty of students expressing the ideas and ideas that exist in their minds. This study aims to improve students' abilities in expressing the ideas that students have in writing explanatory texts. In addition, the study was conducted to determine the effect of the think pair share model on students' explanatory text writing skills. Researchers conducted research using experimental methods with a design uasi experimental design nonequivalent control group design. The population taken is class XI MAS Tanjungjaya and the sample taken is class XI MAS Tanjungjaya, amounting to 18 people. The results of the implementation of teacher learning are 96% and the implementation of student learning is 94% meaning that the teacher is able to carry out learning well and students respond well to learning using the TPS model. The results showed an increase in learning in writing explanatory text using the TPS model in class XI MAS Tanjungjaya students, with an average score of 47 in the pre-test and 77 for the final test.

Abstract

Regarding moral values in the film titled "Negeri 5 Menara" by director Affandi Abdul Rachman adapted from the novel by A. Fuadi. the researcher analyzes the moral values told in the film. This research can be useful for readers because there are many messages we can take about moral values in the film. The research method used is to use the library research method to analyze the film. The results of research that has been carried out on the film are moral values including surrender or trust, discipline, hard work, responsibility, mutual respect, help and be grateful. Through the research process, the researcher seeks to integrate good moral values so that the objectives to be conveyed can be understood by the reader. Thus it can be concluded that the film titled "Negeri 5 Menara" is suitable to be a good spectacle for all people. Be it ordinary people, or intellectuals. Parents or teenagers can enjoy it.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penanda kohesi leksikal antar kalimat yang terdapat dalam novel “Catatan Juang” karya Fiersa Besari. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian novel “Catatan Juang” yang diterbitkan oleh Mediakita, Jakarta Selatan 2018. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah buku tentang wacana, buku-buku penunjang yang berkaitan dalam penelitian dan nota pencatat data. Dalam teks analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian terhadap analisis kohesi leksikal dalam novel “Catatan Juang” yaitu : wujud penanda kohesi aspek leksikal meliputi repetisi, sinonim, antonim, hiponimi, kolokasi dan ekuivalensi.

Abstract

This study intends to describe the character values in the short novel entitled”Faded Pesona Cleopatra”by Habiburrahmman El Shirazy. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data souce that the researchers took was a short novel entitled Pudarnya PTRA Cleopatra by Habibburahman El Shirazy. Data retrieval is done by understanding and reading the short novel carefully and the researcher makes an important note of the values contained in the character education in the short novel. This data analysis was carried out by researchers following the Miiles & Hubermen model, where the firsh researcher identified a short fading novel of Cleopatra’s charm as an object to be atudied, the second the researcher would carry out a reduction in the data, and the third when the researcher presented the data, and the fourth interpreted the data according to theory, and finally the researchers draw conlusions. Furthermore, the results of this study indicate the in this shoet novel entitled Cleopatra’S has seven values of character education including (1) religius values, (2) moral values, (3) values in honesty, (4)0 discipine values, (5)values social, (6) the value of cultural education, and (7) the value of hard work.
