Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties experienced by students in writing persuasion text essay in midlle School . The facts in the field state that students are difficult to get ideas, develop ideas and apply language rules that should be in the text of persuasion. Therefore the researcher tries to apply the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model with the help of advertising medias to overcome the problem. The formulation of the problem in this study is how are students' responses to learning to write persuasion text using the think talk write model assisted by advertising media ?. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and the instruments used are questionnaires. Based on data processing in this study there were 89.5% of responses that stated positive. Thus, learning to write persuasive texts with the model of think talk write assisted by advertising media in class VIII F, SMP received very good responses.

Abstract

Language is an important thing to people for making communicate. Language acquisition is an ongoing process in a child’s brain when they got their first language or the mother tongue. Children  acquiring language start from they learn to speak. The aim of this study was to find out the acquisition of children’s language at the age of three in terms of phonological aspects which include, vowels, consonants, and diphthongs. In addition, the study is also intended to assist parents in supervising the development of their language. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. With this method the research results are described in accordance with the objectives, so that the data obtained is easy to inform. The results obtained in this study were 23 pronunciation of vowels, 28 pronunciation of consonants, and 7 pronunciation of diphthong letters. Consonants are more dominant in letters. At the least dftong pronunciation.

Abstract

Literary writing is far more interesting when combined with intrinsic elements that can attract readers from all over world, be it children, youth, adults, and parents. The analysis of the novel is intended to describe an intrinsic element contained in Richard Bach’s attributed to “Si Camar Jonathan Livingston”. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The study suggests that Richard Bach’s “Si Camar Jonathan Livingston” novel has the theme of freedom to live, the characters in the novel are so interesting to read, using furrows, settings, times and settings. The viewpoint used was the third omniscient and there was a mandate always to try and unyielding to achieve what lay in the face of obstacles.

Abstract

Karya sastra bukan hanya sebuah bentuk karya yang mengandung keindahan namun karya sastra juga  mengandung makna di dalamnya. Puisi merupakan karya sastra yang bersifat imajinatif, dirangkai dengan kata yang estetis dan sederhana namun tidak mudah dipahami oleh para pembaca terlebih tanpa ilmu dalam menganalisis puisi. Seringali makna puisi dianalogikan ke dalam objek lain sehingga makna puisi tersembunyi dibalik eloknya kata. Puisi dapat menjadi motivasi bagi para pembaca terlebih untuk pencinta menulis. Penulis tertarik untuk menganalisis puisi “Senja Di Pelabuhan Kecil” karya Chairil anwar, karena puisi tersebut dibentuk dengan tatanan bahasa yang sederhana namun maknanya luas. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui makna dalam puisi karya Chairil Anwar serta untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman penulis terhadap pendekatan mimetik. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang mengkaji kemudian mendreskripsikan makna dari puisi “Senja Di Pelabuhan Kecil” karya Chairil Anwar dengan kajian mimetik. Pendekatan mimetik yaitu suatu pendekatan kritik sastra pada tiruan alam. Berdasarkan hasil anlisis dari puisi “Senja Di Pelabuhan Kecil” maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa puisi ini mengandung makna kesedihan tentang kehilangan dan pelajaran yang diambil dari puisi ini yaitu sebagai manusia kita harus tetap ikhlas atas semua takdir karena di dunia ini tidak ada yang abadi.

Abstract

This research is based on the lack of knowledge and the use of poster media in increasing reading interest among students. in connection with the development of print media. So, directly forcing to sharpen the observation of the information in circulation. This, causes that the progress of print media or science and technology affects the development of literacy. For this reason, poster media is a means of increasing the attractiveness of reading and providing significant changes for literacy advancement. Thus, poster media must provide different changes specifically for students to be more interested in reading interest. In addition, poster media provide encouragement and motivation as a driving force, a guide in a good direction. As for this study, the researcher wanted to know how much influence the poster media had to increase reading interest among students. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that describes data and facts in the form of descriptions obtained through processing and collecting data through a questionnaire distributed via WhatsApp. The sample of this research was conducted on 10 students of IKIP Siliwangi in various departments. The results of this study of 9 people gave the answer that poster media made increased attractiveness in literacy and there were 7 people affected by poster media by giving answers, that posters were persuasive, which meant to attract attention by unifying images, writing colors, and words.

Abstract

This research is based on the low interest in reading among students. Reading as a core of literacy activities because by reading, other language skills will be mastered by itself. Literacy culture can be enhanced through reading material, one of which is fiction reading books. In other words, everyone has a tendency to like certain genre of books. Fiction can affect literacy culture because it is considered very popular and is popular with students with these factors increasing student reading interest when reading a fiction. The purpose of this study is to describe the influence of fiction on literacy culture. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method that describes data in the form of numbers with calculations through a simple linear regression formula. Data collected through question and questionnaire instruments filled out by students. Completion of questions and questionnaires was conducted on 30 students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education IKIP Siliwangi. The results of the study prove the significance level of 0.02 <0.05, the regression model can be used to predict the participation variable or in other words there is the influence of fiction story variables on literacy culture. It also shows that students tend to like fiction genre books compared to other genres. Therefore, these results prove the influence of fiction in literacy culture.

Abstract

Early childhood is in the golden age phase, which is the best time to accept the words they have just heard. In the golden age, the role of parents is very important to improve the vocabulary of children, because at that time early development is more important than later development, when children are influenced by learning and experience. But in the golden age there are often language errors during pronunciation. This study aims to determine the language errors uttered by children aged 2.5 years at the phonological level. The data obtained is when the child is talking and singing, then the stage of collecting data is by listening, taking notes, and recording. The data obtained will be described and classified. The results showed that there were errors in pronouncing words by the children when speaking, such as changing phonemes /r/ to phonemes /l/, or there were words that experienced a reduction in phonemes when spoken. From the analysis, there were 15 errors in phoneme change /r/ to /l/, 14 errors in phoneme change /s/ to /c/, 4 errors of phoneme change /l/ to /w/, 6 errors of phoneme change /k/ to /t/, 3 errors changing the phoneme /r/ to /y/, 2 reducing the phoneme, namely phoneme /l/ in the word "delapan" to "deapan" and phoneme /t/ in the word "istimewa" to "isimewa".

Abstract

Short story writing learning is generally considered a difficult thing for students to do because of the equivalence of titles, themes and storylines that are difficult to balance by students so that when writing short stories many students have difficulty in expressing ideas to finish writing in written stories. This research was conducted at Padalarang Vocational High School, which is located in Padalarang, West Bandung Regency. This study aims to foster interest in writing, especially in writing short stories. The formulation of the problem faced in this research is How is the implementation of learning and the results of writing short text using a contextual approach ?. This research method uses descriptive qualitative and uses data collection techniques in the form of skills tests. Based on the results of research during learning activities indicate that the activities of short story writing using an approach (contextual teaching and learning) are very good with an average result of 18.32 with a percentage of 91.60% where the prensetase is included as very good criteria.                                                                                                           Keywords: Learning, Short Story Writing, Contextual

Abstract

Writing poetry in learning at school is sometimes less interested because it is considered less attractive to students. It is undeniable that writing poetry requires good imagination skills and students must open their minds widely in order to be able to write poetry with good results. One of the methods used by educators as an alternative in solving these problems is the experiential learning method. The purpose of this research is to apply the experiential learning method in improving the skills of class X TMK SMK KB Pusdikpal in writing poetry. This research is included in classroom action research (PTK). The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The data analyzed were student achievement and responses to the application of the experiential learning method at SMK KB Pusdikpal class X TMK. The results of the research that have been done can be seen that the results of the acquisition of the poetry writing skills test at SMK KB Pusdikpal class X TMK in the first cycle obtained a total score of 71.7 with a sufficient category. While the results of the acquisition of skills tests in the second cycle obtained a total score of 78.3 in the good category. As for the increase in class X TMK SMK KB Pusdikpal in each cycle, namely in cycle 1 had an increase of 8.9 while in cycle II had an increase of 16.4. With the application of the experiential learning method can improve the skills of writing poetry in class X TMK SMK KB Pusdikpal.

Abstract

Pembelajaran merupakan suatu proses kegiatan mentransfer ilmu yang dilakukan di dalam kelas oleh guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah skenario dan implementasi pembelajaran menulis teks negosiasi siswa SMA/MA/SMK kelas X yang diimplementasikan sesuai dengan quantum teaching yang juga dibantu dengan penggunaan media gambar seri, untuk menelaah respon pendidik dan peserta didik  pada siswa MA kelas X terhadap pembelajaran menulis teks negosiasi yang dilaksanakan sesuai dengan langkah quantum teaching yang dibantu dengan penggunaan media gambar seri, serta untuk menelaah kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami siswa MA kelas X dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas menulis teks negosiasi. Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan di lapangan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, hasil penelitian dari metode ini yaitu dengan cara dideskripsikan atau digambarkan sesuai dengan fakta yang ada dilapangan. Subjek penelitian dari metode ini adalah 35 orang siswa kelas X IIS di MA 38 Persis Padalarang. Hasil yang ditemukan dilapangan yaitu metode quantum teaching yang dibantu dengan penggunaan  media gambar seri merupakan metode dan media yang efektif untuk digunakan karena metode quantum teaching yang dikolaborasikan dengan media gambar ini menjadikan siswa lebih dapat memahami teks negosiasi. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari respon siswa yang menyatakan bahwa sebagian besar siswa lebih dapat memahami materi teks negosiasi saat menggunakan metode quantum teaching yang dikolaborasikan dengan media gambar berseri. Selain itu, media dan metode yang digunakan pada saat pembelajaran menulis teks negosiasi juga dapat memudahkan guru dalam menyampaikan materi. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai siswa yang menunjukan bahwa sebagain besar siswa mendapatkan nilai di atas KKM, yang berarti guru berhasil menyampaikan materi dengan baik sehingga siswa dapat menerima dan memahami materi dengan baik pula.
