Abstract

The researcher's interest in the poem "Debu" by Emha Ainun Nadjib prompted the researchers to conduct research. This poem uses a beautiful word arrangement and contains meanings contained in it, especially for muslims. The poem contains an invitation to pray after praying and prostrating to an infinite number of rakaatnya that will make the face incarnate like light. The purpose of this study is to analyze and explain the imagination in the poem "Debu" by Emha Ainun Nadjib. Imagery is an imagined image in the mind. The image is divided into three parts, namely sound image (auditive), vision image (visual), and raba/touch/rasa (tactile) image. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive method. The subject of this study, namely poetry written by a culturalist, scholar, social worker, columnist, seminarian, and as a cleric (kiai). In this poem there are 3 craftsmanship, namely tactile, visual, and auditive images. Tactile image of 7 words with the characteristics of the image can be felt by the sense of taste. Visual image of 4 words with the characteristics of the image can be felt by the sense of vision and auditive image of 2 words with the characteristics of the image can be felt by the sense of hearing. Tactile image is more influential in this poem because it makes the reader become imaginative and feel using the heart when reading the poem.

Abstract

Short stories are part of fictional literary works based on the results of essays and human thoughts in telling a problem that is told through the characters briefly starting from the introduction, the problems to the end of the problems experienced by the characters. In general, short stories literary works tell a variety of frenzied problems of life. A short story has a constructing element, namely the intrinsic element. Intrinsic elements include theme, character, setting, characterization, style, point of view, language style and message. In this case, the researcher will analyze the intrinsic elements of Ahmad Tohari's short story entitled "Pengemis dan Salawat Badar". Researchers used a qualitative descriptive method that aims to describe the facts in a short story. Researchers are interested in analyzing this short story because it contains moral and religious messages that must be used as learning. Based on the results of the analysis, the intrinsic elements contained in this cepen, namely, the theme of the short stories related to social and religion, there are six characters and their characterizations with each different character, the plot is a progressive flow, there are three setting places and one atmosphere, perspective use the first person and the mandate teaches to be sincere and patient in every situation and always say greetings, multiply solawat praise the Prophet Muhammad.

Abstract

This research contained about the analysis intrinsic element and moral values of short stories “Burung Senja” by Wilson Nadeak. Researchers chose a short story entitled “Burung Senja”. First, it has the value of life that can be used as an model by readers, such as the affection of children to parents, and loyalty to the couple life. Second, this short story has a complex storyline, diction and imagination of stories look realistic. Third, short story author is one of the man of letters figure from Indonesian, but not many people who know their works, so that the author wants to lift this short story through the research analysis. The aim of this research was to explain intrinsic element and moral values of short stories by Wilson Nadeak. The method in this research is the qualitative descriptive. Data in used as a source on this research is, one of the essays short stories by Wilson Nadeak’s published in a ”Mata yang Indah; Cerpen Pilihan Kompas 2001”. Based on the analysis shows if there are elements integrity foundation of a short story as works of literature prose, is: themes, grooves, figures and cement fors, the background/setting, the point of view of storytelling and mandate. Apart from that, researchers found moral values described by figures in a short story such as: loyalty, togetherness, love feeling and patience.

Abstract

A work in the form of writing, one of which is a poem, contains a great meaning from the author.The work is made based on the taste of an author who wants to share something worthy. One of the problems faced by readers is a lack of knowledge of the relationship between a work and its author. So that it can produce character values that can be imitated by readers.This research aims to (1) describe Chairil Anwar's relationship with the poem "AKU" to find character education for his work and (2) describe the background of Chairil Anwar in writing a poem entitled "AKU". This paper is analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The poem "AKU" by Chairil Anwar was analyzed through data collection steps, (1) reading the author's biography; (2) to analyze the inspiration and purpose of the author in making a poem entitled "AKU" to find the value of education and to describe it.After analyzing the work of analyzing, one can pay attention to the reasons and goals of the author in making a literary work in the form of a poem entitled "AKU", after knowing the reasons and goals of Chairil Anwar's poem "AKU" to show such things, we can get to know more specifically an author who has a special background in making a work he makes.As a result we can learn the background of the author to help the reader to explore the knowledge about the relationship between the character of a writer and his work as well as to provide knowledge for readers to find out the purpose of making the work so that what the writer wants to convey is conveyed so that it can be a positive role model for students in particular.

Abstract

This article describes the application of objective theory in the short story “Sepotong Senja untuk Pacarku” by Seno Gumira Adjidarma. The application of this theory is based on the problem that encloses research, namely how objective theory can build intrinsic elements of short stories and interpret short stories more thoroughly. The theory used in this study is the objective theory put forward by Abrams. This theory encloses an analysis centered on the exposure and discussion of intrinsic elements of short stories. The elements discussed in this study are themes, plots, settings, strengthening, point of view, language style, and mandate. The intrinsic element that builds this short story must be positioned objectively and autonomously. This research uses qualitative method by placing short story as object and research data. The results of this study show that the objective theory put forward by Abrams becomes an important aspect in discussing short stories on the basis of their intrinsic elements. Thus, this research is expected to show objective theory to be one of the theories used to analyze short stories appropriately and comprehensively.

Abstract

A song that has lyrics with a deep meaning or meaning is always popular even though it has been lyrical for a long time, in the creation of song lyrics, there are language games such as games in language style and word meanings. Dhani's songs with Dewa 19 are often judged to have controversial lyrics in the lyrics, the word "I" and the "You" do not always describe someone who is expressing feelings with their soulmate. The owner of this song also often describes the relationship between man and the creator. The song 'Satu' is an example. This research is to analyze a meaning in the one song lyrics. The method used is descriptive qualitative method by dividing the lyrics into several verses, with a semiotic approach the song lyrics are divided into markers and signs and then analyzed to determine their meaning. The research was carried out in several steps, (1) determining the song, (2) dividing it into several verses, (3) determining the markers and signs, (4) analyzing the meaning, (5) describing the results. The results of the author’s analysis on the lyrics of the song Satu Dewa 19 by Ahmad Dhani concluded that the lyrics contain meaning that implies one’s obedience to God.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the value of education in terms of moral values contained in the novel "She Is My Year 1990" by Pidi Baiq. The subject of this research is the novel Dilan by Pidi Baiq. The object in this study is the value of education from a moral perspective in the form of delivering educational values. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The author uses literary psychology theory that is related to human psychologists, especially in morals. The results of this study indicate that moral values basically have existed since birth from a person's biological characteristics which are formed from parental care as well as teaching educational values to their children. The moral value of Dilan's character can be seen in habitual behavior seen from the perspective of literary psychology, namely the id, ego, and superego. 1) id is in Dilan's character which is biological and has existed since birth who is always looking for satisfaction with wants and needs by not knowing the rules of every behavior that is carried out 2) ego is in Dilan's character as a controller related to the reality of trying to fulfilling the desire of the id by accepting socially 3) the superego contained in Dilan's personality traits that are attached to habits as aspects of moral values that are contained in the teachings of parents about educational and cultural values in society and are based on right and wrong moral values.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the structure of the poem "Hujan Bulan Juni" by Sapardi Djoko Damono. Structural analysis is used to dissect poetry by using structuralism theory so that the text of poetry can be understood according to the structure and building of the poem discussed. The problems in this study are: 1) how is the analysis of the structure in the poem "Rainy June" by Sapardi Djoko Damono?; and 2) what the poem "Hujan Bulan Juni" by Sapardi Djoko Damono means. The theory used in this research is structural theory, namely analyzing poetry based on analysis of the shape of the structure of the building of poetry, namely: form, image, diction, theme, sound, and majas. The building of the structure will produce the meaning of poetry as a whole. The method used is qualitative method based on poetry as an object and research data. The results of this study showed that the poem "Hujan Bulan Juni" has a very sturdy and strong structure of poetry so that the analysis of the structure can build a more comprehensive meaning of poetry.

Abstract

Masalah utama yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah unsur intrinsik dan nilai moral novel “Pelangi Di Atas Cinta” karya Chaerul Al-Attar. Instrinsik adalah unsur-unsur yang membuat sebuah novel yang lengkap dan layak, sehingga perlu untuk dikaji. Unsur intrinsik dan nilai moral dalam novel tersebut belum pernah diteliti sebelumnya. Oleh karena itu, peneliti berkesempatan untuk menganalisis novel secara detail. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan unsur intrinsik novel “Pelangi Di Atas Cinta” karya Chaerul Al-Attar, dan (2) mendeskripsikan nilai moral novel. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel “Pelangi Di Atas Cinta” karya Chaerul Al-Attar memiliki tema yaitu pemuda yang mengubah nasib wanita kupu-kupu malam, sosok yang memiliki karakter bervariasi, menggunakan paduan, dan menggunakan sudut pandang orang pertama sebagai tokoh utama, dengan latar tempat, waktu, suasana, dan sosial. Pesan yang disampaikan dalam “Pelangi Di Atas Cinta” adalah kebebasan dalam hidup dan kehidupan yang telah ditetapkan oleh Tuhan dengan pasti. sedangkan nilai moral yang terkandung antara kekuatan lain, mempersembahkan persahabatan, cinta, dan kasih sayang pada sesama manusia.

Abstract

Writing activities are an indirect way of communicating by delivering written messages using language in the form of notes. writing is not just ordinary writing that is poured, but many kinds of written works such as writing poetry. Poetry is written work with expressions of feelings, experiences or knowledge that contain elements and linguistic rules. Sometimes there are still many students who are confused in writing poetry because of a lack of interest or knowledge. Therefore, this research was conducted according to the circumstances that occurred by applying a project-based learning model to writing poetry to motivate students to be more active, creative and to take the initiative in writing poetry. This study used descriptive qualitative method. In this study, the subjects were students of class X MIPA 1 at SMAN 1 Gununghalu with a total of 21 students, consisting of 6 male students and 15 female students. The results showed 11 students got high scores, 7 students got sufficient scores, and 3 students got low scores. The results concluded in this study that the use of project-based learning models in class X MIPA 1 students can improve students' skills in writing poetry texts.
