Abstract

The study starts from the particularities owned the collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan. The specificity contained in the repetition of words in poetry. The repetition of a word or phrase in the poem expressed as reps. Repetition in a poem creates the aesthetic value of the poem. It is contained in a collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan. Through this study, the author examines the message delivered in a collection of poetry Women authors mayor expressed through repetition idiomatic meaning. Therefore, the assessment focused on the meaning of idiomatic repetition contained in a collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan. This is formulated problem is how the idiomatic meaning reps on a collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan. The purpose of this study is to explain and describe the meaning of idiomatic repetitions on a collection of poems Perempuan Wali KotaSuryatati A Manan. This research data is a letter, word, or phrase containing repetition. Source of research data derived from a collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan. The data collection was done by using the documentation. Data analysis was performed using the idiomatic meaning of the word at the role of repetition in the collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan works in construction. The results showed no repetition idiomatic meaning that the writer used to convey a message to the reader.

Abstract

The application of learning methods in each learning will have an impact on learning outcomes and the atmosphere of classroom learning and student activities in learning. One method that can be used is Inquiry Learning Strategies (SPI). This method is used in Classroom Action Research (PTK) Indonesian language learning material Exploring Information from Class IV Adventist Texts of Students in SD Negeri 001 Koto Taluk Kuantan. This study aims to get an idea of ​​how to improve student learning outcomes after using Inquiry Learning Strategies (SPI) methods in Indonesian language material. Exploring Information from the Class IV Adventurer's Texts in SD Negeri 001 Koto Taluk Kuantan. The study uses four steps of PTK, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The four components of the research step constitute one cycle. This research was carried out in two cycles. Improved student learning outcomes, in the initial data with an average of 67.1 increased in Deuteronomy Daily I to 75.2 with an increase of 12.1. In Deuteronomy Daily II it increased to 81.9 with an increase of 8.9. Then from individual and classical completeness, in the first cycle the total number of students completed was 10 people at 47.6% and the incomplete 11 people amounted to 52.4%, whereas in the second cycle the number of students who completed 19 people was 90.5%, , while the incomplete 2 people amounted to 9.5%. Thus, it can be concluded that Inquiry Learning Strategies (SPI) can improve the results of Indonesian language learning material Exploring Information from the Class IV Adventist Texts of Students in SD Negeri 001 Koto Taluk Kuantan.

Abstract

One of the oral traditions of Pelalawan people loaded with character values ​​is the Long Chant of the Bujang Si Undang. In the long song Bujang Si Undang depicted portrait of ideal character of pelalawan people who can be guided as effort to maintain local wisdom of Petalangan society. This paper aims to describe the value of character education contained in the Legend of the Legal Bujang Si. Techniques performed in analyzing data using content analysis (content analysis). The result of the research shows that Singing Long Bujang Si Undang has educational content of character value. Educational values ​​of the characters contained in the Legend of Singles Long Leg there are five, namely the character of faith and cautious, honest, intelligent, resilient, and caring. Character education in Long Singing Sing song with the focus of faith and cautious reflected from the character of obedience to parents and mandate. The value of character education with honest focus is depicted from the honest character and responsibility. The education of the character's character with the focus of the intelligent character is depicted from the virtue character of demanding science and openness. Educational values ​​of characters with strong character focus are depicted from the character of hard work, diligent, and diligent, independent, confident, and courageous. Educational values ​​of characters with a focus of caring character depicted from sincere character, willing to sacrifice, affection, mutual cooperation, and spirit of unity.

Abstract

Teaching and learning process was basically a communication process between teacher as courier of message while student as recipient. The message, delivered by the teacher, was actually the learning materials that had been changed into communication symbol, verbally and non verbally. Indonesian languange held the important role in students’ intelectual, sosial, and emotional development and also the supporting success in learning all subjects. The learning result could be seen from how many students could pass subjects’ minimum score. A low learning result in Indonesia languange subject should be a consideration for learning planner. To improve students learning result, teacher made enhancement. One of the methods could be used for enhancement was using comic in Indonesian language subject so it couold create a condusive condition. Conducive condition was a condition where students engaged to the learning process and they were active during teaching-learning process. Indonesian language comic was interesting for them especially the pictures on it. The most important thing that students (with the help of teacher) could construct knowledge and also got so many producers and they could solve the problem given. After the treatment was given, the learning result was satisfied where 18 out of 22 students (81,8%) passed, while the rest of them did not pass yet. The students who did not pass were the students with low ability and not really active in class.

Abstract

The background of this research was to promote the application of politeness language as a form of substantial local wisdom in addition to enrich the literary vocabulary that was novel. The formulation of this problem was the objective of this research was to analyze novel character of language politeness Megat work Rida K Liamsi. Further, the benefits of this research that was practical and theoretical in term of contrubution. The basic theory of politeness language was used and the nature of the novel. This type of research was qualitative. The method used was descriptive analytic method. Data collection techniques was documentation and librarianship in analyzing the words, phrases, clauses, or sentences that express politeness language speaking. Technique of data analysis performed by reading to concluded the results. The results of this research were identified as many as 35 maksim wisdom; 14 conspiracy, 13 awards, 13 generosity, 4 simplicity, and 9 sympathy respectively.

Abstract

This research entitled "Pronouns Malay Language In Movie Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee". The problem of this research is how is the pronoun of Malay in Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee? The purpose of this research is to know and describe the pronoun of Malay in Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee. The theory used in this research is Alwi, et al (2003), theory Tadjuddin (2013), and theory Ramlan (1990). The approach used in this research is qualitative research, the type of research used in this research included into the research literature and the method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques of this research are: documentation techniques, references, and techniques of note. Technique of data analysis of this research is classified based on problem which researched in accordance with the object of research. The results indicate that in the movie Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee used the first single person pronouns [hambə], [bəta], and [pati?]. First person plural pronoun [kite]. Single person second pronoun [mikə]. General Pronouns [ni] and [tu].

Abstract

Preliminary data in several replications were only 5 out of 24 fifth grade students who reached the level of mastery of the material for Indonesian language lessons. During the lesson, students rarely ask questions or respond to the teacher's explanation. To improve the ability to ask students and master the concept of Indonesian students, through the application of various methods. After learning, the students' learning outcomes obtained in the second cycle there were 7 students who received a special category, 8 students with very good categories, 7 students with good categories and 2 students achieved enough categories, and there were no more students in the less category. This shows that in cycle II only 2 students have not been completed according to the defined KKM which is 70. In the second cycle of the meeting there was 1 student who did not ask, 3 students who only came from asking, 6 students asked approaching right and 14 students were able ask well and correctly. While cycle II students' ability to ask has increased, from 24 students there are 20 students who are able to ask well and correctly, 3 students ask almost right, 1 student who still asks carelessly and there are no more students who do not ask. In the learning process in the second cycle learning takes place better than the first cycle, students already understand and are familiar with the learning step, so that it can be concluded through the use of various methods can improve the ability to ask questions and mastery of students' Indonesian concepts.

Abstract

This re search entitled persuasive techniques in a sussessful book without the title of Andrias Harefa work. The problem of research, how persuasive techniques, rationalization, identification, suggestion, conformity, compensation, replacement and projection in a successful book without a degree of work Andrias Harefa? Aims to describe, analyze, and intepret persuasive techniques, rationalization, identification, suggestion, conformity, compensation, replacement and projection in a successful book without the title of work Andrias Harefa. This research uses the theory proposed by Gorys Keraf 2004, using descriptive method. Data and data sources in this study is the contents of a successful book without the title Andrias Harefa work in 2005. This research method descriptive method, research type that is literature, and research approach that is qualitative. Data collection techniques used by the author is to classify data, analyze data, interpret data, and draw conclusions. Result of research about persuasive technique in success book without title of work of Andrias Harefa found existence persuasive technique counted 47 data or equal to 100% of them, rationalization used Andrias Harefa equal to 3 data or egual to 7%, identification used Andrias Harefa 31 data or equivalent to 67%, the suggestion used Andrias Harefa of 3 data or equaivalent to 7 %, the conformity used Andrias Harefa as much as 3 data or equivalent to 7%, replacement used Andrias Harefaas many as 4 data or equivalent to 9%, the projection used Andrias Harefa as much as 1 data or equivalent to 2%. Thus it can be concluded that the persuasive technique used by Andrias Harefa in a successful book without a title is more dominant using the technique of persuasive identification because a successful book without the title of work Andrias Harefa tends to use spsesial and interesting things to influence the reader, followed by replacemet, rationalization, suggestion, conformity, compensation, and projection.

Abstract

In some university students’ project papers, violations of  rules of Indonesian language grammar are still found. The ignorance to write a grammatically correct project paper on an ongoing basis will adversely affect the quality of the students' writing. A good project paper, both its content and language use provides an overview of the insights of the students. Students must equip their cognitives in order to be able to understand the concept of the language well. This becomes the basis of observation of violation of Indonesian  language rules in student's project papers of Universitas Riau through. The method used in this research is the qualitative descriptive method. The focus of observation is on the beginning parts of the project papers especially dealing. The research findings reveal that  some disobedience of rules of spelling and punctuation, namely: disobedience academic title, name of the self, shortening, preposition, word absorption, foreign word,  numbering, reduplication, separation marks, commas, and spaces.

Abstract

Writing one of the language skills that require practice to be mastered well. Writing requires skills such as word choice, paragraph linkage, language style and so on. In learning of Indonesian class X there is writing prose which one of them is prose description. Monitoring of Indonesian language learning in SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru, learners have problems in writing materials, especially the prose description which is evidenced by the low average value. This research is focused to know process of applying guided training method assisted image media in improving writing skill description. Proposed formulation is how the implementation of guided training methods help image media in improving ability to write essay writing description of students. Purpose of study to describe implementation of guided training methods assisted image media in improving ability to write essay description of students. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research by using method of observation, test results, questionnaires and documentation with data sources ie students of class X SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru with the number of students 32 people. Average value of students in the pre-cycle stage of 72, 91. After an action on cycle I, average student score rose 5.65 to 78.56. Next on cycle II, it increased by 49.8 to 85.28. The results obtained in cycle I using image media show an increase. Questionnaire assessment shows that the result of students' level of enthusiasm increases and students are able to focus more on learning process because of proper writing stages for students.
