Abstract

In the teaching and learning process the teacher plays an important role, the teacher must be able to choose the appropriate method. This study aimed to determine the improvement of Indonesian language learning outcomes in the subject matter of folklore offifth grade students at SD Negeri 008 Pulau Lancang. The study was conducted by using the STAD type cooperative method, which each cycle consists of four stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research was fifth grade students. The results of the study using the STAD type cooperative method in learning Indonesian showed the involvement and activeness of students. Learning outcomes that obtained by students also increase in Cycle 1 and Cycle 2. From the data collection obtained learning outcomes in learning in cycle 1 was 73% of students completed learning, while cycle 2 learning outcomes became 100% students completed learning. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of the STAD type cooperative method can improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of 008 at SD Negeri 008 Pulau Lancang on Indonesian subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the use of cooperative learning model two stay two stray towards the skill level essay writing exposition class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental method. The design of this study one group pretest and posttest design. Total population of 224 students. The sample in this research is class student of SMP Negeri 9 Padang VIII.1 by the number of 31 students were determined using purposive sampling technique. In this research there are two variables, namely (1) exposition essay writing skills of students before using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray and (2) exposition essay writing skills of students after using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray. The instrument used in this study tests the performance. This research data result score skill tests exposition essay writing class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang before and after using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray. The results of this study based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) received the 95% significance level and degrees of freedom (df) = (N_1 + n_2) -2 because ttable <thitung (1.67 <8.19). In other words, the writing skills essay exposition eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang after using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray better than writing skills essay exposition eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang before using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray. Thus, cooperative learning model two stay two stray can be applied in teaching essay writing skills exposition.

Abstract

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) merupakan salah satu tes kemahiran berbahasa Inggris yang megukur 4 keterampilan berbahasa Inggris seseorang. Terkait dengan adanya beberapa keterampilan berbahasa Inggris yang diukur di IELTS, penelitian ini berfokus pada penelitian berbicara (speaking) yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris pada IELTS Simulation Test untuk menganalisa kemampuan mahasiswa dalam melakukan tes keterampilan berbicara, serta menemukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan dan menjadi penghambat dalam melakukan tes simulasi yang diberikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keterampilan mahasiswa dalam melakukan tes simulasi IELTS untuk keterampilan berbicara perlu untuk ditingkatkan lagi karena sebahagian besar mahasiswa masih berada pada rentang nilai 4-6. Sehingga, dapat dimaknai bahwa tingkat keterampilann mahasiswa dalam melakuan tes simulasi EITLS Speaking (Berbicara) sudah menunjukkan keterampilan yang cukup baik karena ada beberapa mahasiswa yang mampu meraih rentang nilai 7, dan sebahagian besar peserta tes juga sudah berada pada rentang 5-6, hanya beberapa mahasiswa yang berada pada rentang 4-4,5. Faktor latihan merupakan faktor utama yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan peserta tes untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam berbicara Bahasa Inggris, namun seluruh mahasiswa yang diinterview mengemukakan bahwa mereka tidak melakukan persiapan khusus ketika mereka akan melakukan tes, sehinggan hasil yang mereka peroleh masih perlu untuk ditingkatkan. Selain itu, kecemasan pada saat melakukan tes berbicara mempengaruhi keterampilan peserta tes dalam menjawab pertanyaan yang diberikan, selain itu kesulitan peserta tes dalam memahami beberapa makna kata yang dituturkan oleh penguji menimbulkan kesulitan bagi peserta tes untuk merepon pertanyaan yang diajukan, namun mengetahui tips dan trik dalam melaukan tes IELTS Speaking dapat meminimalisir hal-hal yang dapat mengganggu selama pelaksanaan tes.  Kata Kunci : Berbicara, Tes Simulasi IELTS

Abstract

Music is not only about combination between tone and lyrics. If the combination is balance, the song will be qualified. Nowadays, music is not only about a right rhythm and melody, but the message as the song writer offers will be essential. The song writer must pay attention to the correlation between lyrics and contect which become a contectual meaning. The problem that raised in this research are 1) how the grammatical cohesion which contains in song Begadang from H. Rhoma Irama, 2) what kind of contectual which contain in the lyrics of this song Begadang from H. Rhoma Irama. This research is aimed to analyze element of grammatical cohesion and contectual meaning in lyric of Begadang song from H. Rhoma Irama. Descriptive, and qualititative orientation were used in this research. All of the lyrics of Begadang song became the data of this research. This research is motivated by kertarikan authors see mothers in households using facebook. Abstract

The design of this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The purpose of this study is to improve the learning methods and student learning outcomes. Previously, there were still a few cases of low score of grade VII students of state Junior High School 2 (SMP Negeri 2) Tapung that is below the standard of Maximum Exhaustiveness Criteria (KKM). KKM has been determined by the school that is 70. the effort done either choosing the strategies or methods has been implemented, but not succeeded. From that point, the effort to improve the learning outcomes of teachers is by using peer methods. Through peer methods it is expected that their learning outcomes can increase because students feel free to express their opinions with peers and they do not feel reluctant and ashamed. This research was conducted with two cycles. Before conducting research the writer conducted survey. With the test, the purpose is to know how far the mastery of the students over the material given by the teacher. At the pre-cycle stage is complete score 24.00% and not complete 76.00%. In the first cycle, it increased to complete score 60.00% and incomplete 40.00%, while in the second cycle the score increased to 92.00% with complete score and incomplete one is 8.00%. According to the average of pre cycle rate of 61.00%, which is the first cycle is 78.00%, and the second cycle becomes 90.00% .thus it can be concluded that peer method can improve student learning outcomes at Junior High School 2 (SMP Negeri 2) Tapung.

Abstract

Learning Indonesian is not only learning languages ​​but also studying literature. Literary learning is also very important with the aim of giving a sense of love to literature and making students have the ability to appreciate and be able to judge the results of literary works. One aspect taught in learning literature is writing poetry. The motive of the importance of the learning process of writing poetry literary works for students is to improve reading and writing skills which can be used as a routine activity to improve achievement. Based on the results of observations on the learning patterns of Literature of Class students at X IPS 3 Pekanbaru of SMAN 4 Pekanbaru, students' poetry writing skills were still low. Students had difficulty in determining ideas, diction, and the first word in writing poetry. The achievement of the indicator editing poetry in accordance with the elements of poetry was not maximal, students were confused in determining diction and language style. It took a solution to these problems through innovation in the application of learning models. Pararrel writing based learning based on the imagination of abstract objects was one solution that can improve the power of writing poetry. So, this study aimed to improve students' poetry writing skills. The method used in this study was class action research with two cycles approach. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, using the pararrel writing based learning model using imagination of abstract objects can improve poetry writing skills students at X IPS 3 Pekanbaru of SMAN 4 Pekanbarusignificantly.

Abstract

This study presents a related problem about the compound verbs in the Banjar Hulu language. Banjar language is the language used by the people of Indragiri Hilir Regency Riau. At present the state of the Banjar Hulu language is contaminated with modern culture and technology. Therefore, an in-depth study of the language of Banjar Hulu is needed. The problem that is examined is related to the form of the compound verb Banjar Hulu. The purpose of this study was to describe and explain in detail about the compound verbs in the Banjar Hulu language. This research is a type of field research using descriptive method. The research data is in the form of words spoken by the informant, with competent involvement data collection techniques. Data validation is done by triangulating the source by analyzing data regarding the original form and basic form. The results of this study are the discovery of the first basic compound verbs (a) basic compound verbs with the second noun component, (b) compound verbs with the first component adjectives, (c) basic compound verbs with the second component adjectives, (d) basic compound verbs with the first component adverb, (e) basic compound verb with both verb components. The two affiliated compound verbs; (a) affiliated compound verbs with the base of the components, (b) affixed compound verbs with the base of the free form, (c) affixed compound verbs with the two beraphyx components. The three compound verbs repeated.

Abstract

The study starts from the particularities owned the collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan. The specificity contained in the repetition of words in poetry. The repetition of a word or phrase in the poem expressed as reps. Repetition in a poem creates the aesthetic value of the poem. It is contained in a collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan. Through this study, the author examines the message delivered in a collection of poetry Women authors mayor expressed through repetition idiomatic meaning. Therefore, the assessment focused on the meaning of idiomatic repetition contained in a collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan. This is formulated problem is how the idiomatic meaning reps on a collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan. The purpose of this study is to explain and describe the meaning of idiomatic repetitions on a collection of poems Perempuan Wali KotaSuryatati A Manan. This research data is a letter, word, or phrase containing repetition. Source of research data derived from a collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan. The data collection was done by using the documentation. Data analysis was performed using the idiomatic meaning of the word at the role of repetition in the collection of poems Perempuan Wali Kota Suryatati A Manan works in construction. The results showed no repetition idiomatic meaning that the writer used to convey a message to the reader.

Abstract

This writing aims to explain Learning Strategy Inquiry (SPI) and its application in learning Indonesian. Learning is not just memorizing and not just remembering, but learning is a process marked by a change in a person. Inquiry learning strategies will help teachers bring students to understand the concept of subject matter. In addition, it will also bring students in learning that emphasizes the critical and analytical thinking process to seek and find answers to a questionable problem for learning outcomes. Inquiry learning strategy is a student centered learning strategy that is very demanding of student activities. Initially this inquiry learning strategy is widely applied in the natural sciences (natural science). But demilkian, social sciences education experts adopted inquiry strategies that later became called social inquiry. From the characteristics of inquiry as described above, the application of social inquiry in Indonesian language learning is not different from the application of inquiry in general. The difference lies solely in the problem under study. Thus, the application of inquiry learning strategies in learning Indonesian, will certainly examine the subject matter in the Indonesian language

Abstract

The purpose of this study to describe the effect of the use of cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing on learning outcomes writing text exposition seventh grade students of SMPN 4 Padang Panjang. The theory used in this study as follows. First, writing skills Text exposition. Second, cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing.Jenis This study was a quantitative research with experimental method. The research was one group pretest and posttest design. Total population of 137 students with a sample of 24 students. The sample in this research is class VII. 4 SMPN 4 Padang Panajng determined using purposive sampling technique. In this research there are two variables, namely (1) the writing skills of students Subtitles exposition before using cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing, and (2) the writing skills of students after the text exposition cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing. Instruments used in this research is to test the performance. This research data is the writing skills test score results Subtitles exposition seventh grade students of SMPN 4 Padang Panjang before and after using cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing. The results of this study are based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) received the 95% significance level and degrees of freedom (df) = (N_1 + n_2) -2 because thitung> t table (1.17> 1.98). In other words, the writing skills Text exposition seventh grade students of SMPN 4 Padang Panjang after using cooperative learning model is better than the Dancing Bamboo writing skills Text exposition seventh grade students of SMPN 4 Padang Panjang before using cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing.
