Reseach aim to describe typical souvenir type of Pandai Sikek, formand carved name, then explain about ingredients and tool. Reseachuses qualitative and descriptive methods, by observation, interview,and documentation. The data analysis is done by data collection, datareduces, data presentation, and conclusion. Data validity tested withtriangulation technique. Reseach result found five types of typicalsouvenir products Pandai Sikek. On the five forms of souvenirsfound nine motifs names of seven traditional Minangkabau carvingpatterns. The typical souvenir products of Pandai Sikek made ofSurian wood, in the process using a Layang chisel and Sodok chisel.Kata Kunci : Suvenir, Pandai Sikek, Ukiran, Bahan dan Alat

This final task is aimed to visualize the damage in our environment which is caused by human behavior. The damage is visualized into graphic art by using relief technique print then we callit as go-green. Go green is a term wich point on greening or repairing the damage in environment. Methods in creating this final task is using 4 phases, they are preparation, elaboration, synthesis,and realization concept. Then this creation of go green is started with creating sketsa, preparing tools and materials, process of finishing this work. This final task will be finished with 10 categories: air pollution, water pollution, the remain hope, burnt world, friendly to environment, nature code, dependenceeach other, balance, life foundation, friendly environment. From this final task we expect that people will be more aware and more care to environment and make this as reference to graphic artin the nextime.Kata kunci: Go green, Kerusakan lingkungan, Seni Grafis

Abstract This research is proposed to describe: (1) Describing the placement of motif which is implemented to the songket balapak and songket batabua. (2) Describing repetition technique which is used in songket balapak and songket batabua. (3) Describing structure material which is used in songket balapak and songket batabua. The data of this research was collected from each area, Pandai Sikek and Silungkang. The resource of this research is from the data documentation from the informant. The technique of data collection of this research was from focused interview and documentation. Research findings are, first, motif placement on Songket Balapak and Batabua is located into three parts, head, body and edge. Second, repetition technique that is done on both Songket is horizontal and vertical pattern repetition. Third, both of Songket use golden line, yet Songket Pandai Singkek use more golden line. Kata Kunci: Songket, Balapak, Batabua, Silungkang dan Pandai Sikek

This study aims to determine the effect of using video media on the results of student learning SMA Negeri I Dua Koto Pasaman district. The subjects were students of class XI IPA at SMAN I Dua Koto Pasaman district. This study uses a quantitative method using quasi-experimental research model. The instrument used was a written test in objective form, carried out with test pre-test and post-test. The results showed that the average value of the results of the experimental class learning using video media is higher than the control class without using video media. Based on hypothesis testing using SPSS version 20.0 was obtained t = 4.458 and the value table = 2.034 with significance level (α = 0.05) showed that there are significant differences between these two classes.Keywords: Use of Media Video, and Learning Outcomes

As time goes by batik in Riau Province has developed very well, it showed many enthusiasts Riau Malay batik. For example, during an official ceremony in Riau Province officials and many young people wear batik patterned Malay. Batik is widely traded in stores and shopping malls in Pekanbaru. On the other hand a lot of people who do not know the meaning of Riau Malay batik itself. Community only in terms of assessing whether or not the motif used without knowing the philosophy contained therein.This study aims to: 1) Describe the various Malay batik, and 2) describe the various Malay motif of shape, color, placement, composition, and source of ideas Malay batik creation.This research is used to get an idea about the motives and meaning of Malay batik. Based on the purpose of the study, the researchers used a method kualitatif.Selain the research methodology used is a cultural approach (Etnoscience / Cognitive Anthropology) in the social and cultural life by examining the motives and meaning of Malay batik.The results showed that the wear batik motifs by local Riau (Riau motif). Batik motifs themed Riau most herbs like bulk of Mangosteen, Forest Flower, Fan Linga, Give It Up, Bud biting and so forth. Each batik Malay have their respective meanings contained in the motif.Research conclusion that each motif has Riau Malay meaning each basic motifs have meaning grandeur chrysolite floral motifs further interest basis berembang have meaning on the weak need protection while on the basis of floral motifs bridal tears have meaning hospitality to guests.

The purpose in making this final work is to visualize betta fish as a metaphor of uman behavior, which deviates in society today, through the work of figurative bstract sculpture. The methods used in making this work are: 1) the preparation stage of observation, 2) elaboration, 3) the synthesis stage, 4) the realization of the concept that begins to make sketches, the process of work, and finising. 5) the stages in the exhibition are cataloging for works to be exhibited, displaying works in the room to be used for exhibition works, providing guestbooks, and ready for hibition opening. The results of the discussion terwujutlah seven sculptures that provide information and media learning in everyday life as stipulated in the sculpture entitled: 1. Arogan, 2. Show, 3. Individual, 4. This research is a classroom action research, the research was conducted inthe semester from January to June 2014 VII.1 grade SMP 2 Ampek Nagari the number 30 in the skill woven material. Classroom action research was carried out by 2 cycles with steps of research, namely, (1) planning (Planning), (2) the action (Action), (3) observation (Observation), (4) reflection (Reflection). This study uses the theory of UNO (2008: 16) were used as a reference in enhancing students' motivation and learning outcomes in the payment of the skills VII.1 grade webbing.From the research data obtained an increase in student belar visible results from the first cycle and the second cycle is as follows: First, the use of job media sheets can improve the motivation of students in learning the skills to make the fan woven from bamboo with an average student motivation in the first cycle of 6, 50 and the second silkus increased to 7.41. Secondly, the use of job sheet media can improve student learning outcomes of learning skills in making wicker fan of bamboo with an average of 60.73 for the first cycle and the second cycle increased to 81.17. The results of this study indicate that the use of job sheets can improve motivation and learning outcomes of students in learning skills webbing.Keywords: media, job sheet, motivation, learning, webbing.
