Abstract

This study aims to analyze occupational accident trends during the 2015–2025 period and evaluate the impact of implementing a digitalized K3L Patrol application based on the Kaizen approach on occupational safety performance at PT XYZ . The research employed a quantitative longitudinal design with a quasi-experimental approach by comparing the period before and after the implementation of digitalization, namely the pre-digitalization period (2015–2022) and the post-digitalization period (2023–2025).The secondary data analyzed included the number of occupational accidents, total working hours, and lost workdays. The safety performance indicators used in this study were Frequency Rate (FR), Severity Rate (SR), and Safety-T Score. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics to examine accident trends and inferential analysis using an independent samples t-test to determine differences in safety indicators between the two research periods. The results show that the average Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) decreased from 1.29 in the pre-digitalization period to 0.76 in the post-digitalization period (a reduction of 41%), although the difference was not statistically significant (t = 2.21; p = 0.054). In contrast, the average Lost Time Injury Severity Rate (LTISR) significantly decreased from 5.05 to 2.03 (a reduction of 60%) with t-test results (t = 2.78; p = 0.024). The Safety-T Score values during the study period were within the ±2 range, indicating that accident variations remained within normal limits (common cause variation).Furthermore, employee participation in hazard reporting increased by 60.7% after the implementation of the digitalized K3L Patrol system. These findings indicate that the digitalization of the safety reporting system based on the Kaizen approach can enhance employee participation in safety monitoring and contribute to reducing the severity level of occupational accidents. This study concludes that the digitalization of the occupational safety system based on the Kaizen approach is an effective strategy to support the improvement of safety culture toward dependent and interdependent levels and to support efforts to achieve zero accidents in industrial environments.

Abstract

The increase in sexual behavior among adolescents has become a significant issue in reproductive health in Indonesia. This condition is believed to be influenced by the ease of access to sexual content through digital media. Risky sexual behavior is now often perceived as normal by some adolescents who are in dating relationships. Data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission indicate that 62.7% of adolescents in Indonesia have engaged in sexual intercourse, signaling a shift in norms within adolescent dating relationships. This study aimed to analyze the factors associated with dating behavior among students at an Islamic school in Banten Province. The study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design and was conducted from January to June 2024 at SMK Yarsi Medika. From a total population of 221 students, 145 respondents were selected using the Slovin formula, with data collected from both primary and secondary sources. The results showed that 24.8% of students exhibited unhealthy sexual behavior, while 75.2% were classified as having healthy sexual behavior. Bivariate analysis revealed associations between risky sexual behavior and knowledge, gender, place of residence, dating status, and peer influence. Further analysis indicated that peer influence was the most dominant factor, with an odds ratio (OR) of 2.6 after controlling for other variables.

Abstract

Many prospective brides (catin) do not understand how to accurately estimate their fertile period, which raises concerns about unplanned pregnancies. This lack of knowledge is often caused by limited access to information or low utilization of tools such as menstrual calendar apps. Without proper planning, the risk of unwanted pregnancy, fertility issues, and reproductive problems can increase. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the use of menstrual calendar apps and catin's knowledge of how to estimate their fertile period at the KUA (Religious Affairs Office) of Klojen Subdistrict, Malang City. This study employs an analytical correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consists of 43 female catin at the KUA of Klojen Subdistrict, Malang City, from June 19–24, 2025, with a sample of 39 female catin selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis utilized the Spearman correlation test. The results show that the majority of female catin have moderate utilization of menstrual calendar applications (48.7%) and most have good knowledge (69.2%). The Spearman statistical test yielded a ρ value of 0.014 (< α = 0.05). With a correlation coefficient of 0.389, indicating a low but positive correlation. This study demonstrates a relationship between the use of menstrual calendar apps and brides to-be's knowledge of how to estimate their fertile period. Therefore, it is hoped that healthcare professionals can enhance brides-to-be's knowledge regarding how to estimate their fertile period through direct education during marriage counseling by utilizing menstrual calendar apps to optimize their knowledge. Abstract

Low back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal complaints and can reduce functional ability and quality of life. The management of low back pain generally involves pharmacological therapy; however, long-term use may cause adverse effects. Therefore, non-pharmacological therapies are needed as safer and more holistic alternatives, one of which is acupuncture. This study aimed to describe acupuncture care in a case of low back pain with Qi and Blood Stagnation Syndrome. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The participant was a 67-year-old woman who complained of low back pain radiating to the buttocks. The study was conducted at Geriya Sehat Bali Dwipa Husada, where acupuncture therapy was administered in six sessions. Data were collected using the Four Diagnostic Methods of acupuncture, including observation (Wang), listening and smelling (Wen), inquiry (Wen), and palpation (Qie), supported by documentation studies. The results showed a gradual improvement in the client’s condition, indicated by a reduction in pain intensity based on the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), decreased stiffness, and improved ability to perform daily activities. It can be concluded that acupuncture care helps reduce low back pain in cases of Qi and Blood Stagnation Syndrome and can be used as a complementary therapy.

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among children under five, particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia. This study aims to identify the factors associated with the incidence of ARI in toddlers through a literature review. Articles were searched using databases including Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Garuda, and Neliti, focusing on publications from the past five years. A total of 20 articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed to identify the dominant risk factors influencing ARI incidence in young children. The review findings show that ARI in toddlers is influenced by multiple multifactorial determinants. The most consistently significant factors include exposure to cigarette smoke inside the home, poor ventilation and inadequate housing conditions, and household overcrowding. In addition, health-related behaviors such as lack of exclusive breastfeeding and incomplete immunization status were also found to increase the risk of ARI. Biological factors, including poor nutritional status and low birth weight, contribute further to children’s susceptibility. Maternal characteristics, particularly knowledge and education levels, also play an important role in ARI incidence by influencing child care practices and home environmental management. Overall, the review highlights that ARI prevention in toddlers requires a comprehensive approach through improved family health behaviors, enhanced household environmental quality, and optimized immunization coverage and nutritional intake. Such efforts are expected to reduce ARI incidence and prevent more severe complications among children under five.

Abstract

A wound is a form of skin tissue damage caused by contact with a heat source (such as chemicals, fire, hot water, electricity, and radiation), medical procedures, or changes in physiological conditions. Wound treatment depends on the extent of the wound. The deeper the affected skin layer, the longer it takes. To reduce unwanted side effects, many people turn to herbal medicine, one of which is the use of sea cucumbers. The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of sea cucumber (Stichopus horrens) extract emulgel on wound healing compared to betadine ointment. The research method used a true experimental design. This study used 30 male white mice (Mus musculus). The results showed that sea cucumber (Stichopus horrens) extract can accelerate the wound healing process in incisions on the skin of mice. Wound healing is caused by bioactive compounds such as saponins, flavonoids, lectins, and amino acids that play a role in accelerating the wound healing process.

Abstract

Office administration workers generally work in a static sitting position and use computers for long periods of time, thus potentially increasing the risk of ergonomics and musculoskeletal complaints. Workstation ergonomics risk assessment is needed as a basis for improving the working environment. This study aims to describe the level of ergonomic risk based on the assessment of work posture using the Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) method in PT Z administrative workers. Data were collected through direct observation of workstations using ROSA scoresheets as well as Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaires. The analysis was carried out descriptively in the form of frequency and percentage distributions. The results showed that 14 respondents (70.0%) were in the low risk category (score ≤5) and 6 respondents (30.0%) were in the high risk category (score >5). Musculoskeletal complaints are most commonly reported in the shoulders and upper back. Although the majority of workers are in the low-risk category, the proportion of high risks indicates the need for ergonomic interventions, particularly in the arrangement of chairs, monitors, and keyboards and mice, accompanied by work posture education and the implementation of micro-breaks.

Abstract

Background: Physiological changes in pregnant women begin in the first trimester and reach their peak during labor. These changes are generally well tolerated by healthy women; however, they may worsen or trigger pre-existing medical conditions (Yulizawati et al., 2017). Prenatal yoga is a modified form of yoga specifically designed to accommodate the physical needs and conditions of pregnant women, aiming to prepare them physically, mentally, and spiritually for childbirth. Based on the records of antenatal care visits at Pal III Community Health Center, Pontianak, a total of 114 pregnant women attended from November 2025 to January 2026. Common pregnancy-related discomforts, such as anxiety, back pain, and fatigue, motivated the researchers to provide prenatal yoga education to pregnant women. Objective: This study aimed to assess the knowledge of pregnant women before and after receiving prenatal yoga education at Pal III Community Health Center, Pontianak. Methods: This study employed a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted from April 9 to April 16, 2025. A total of 30 pregnant women participated as the study sample. Results: The findings indicated that before receiving prenatal yoga education, the majority of respondents (18 participants; 60%) had a moderate level of knowledge regarding prenatal yoga. After the educational intervention, most respondents (22 participants; 73%) demonstrated a good level of knowledge. Improvements in knowledge were influenced by several factors, including educational level, occupation, and age. Conclusion: The knowledge of pregnant women regarding prenatal yoga before the educational intervention was generally categorized as moderate, with 60% of the 30 respondents falling into this category. Following the educational intervention, the participants' knowledge improved, with 73% of the same respondents demonstrating a good level of knowledge. These findings suggest that prenatal yoga education effectively enhances pregnant women's knowledge about prenatal yoga.
