Abstract

The effectiveness of macromedia flash software in storytelling learning of the first grade students at SD Inpres Hartaco Indah Makassar aimed to describe the effectiveness of macromedia flash software in learning storytelling of the first grade students of SD Inpres Hartaco Indah Makassar. This study used an experimental research design with posttest only control design. The population of this study is the first elementary grade students at SD Inpres Hartaco Indah. The sample was two classes that each class has 25 students, so the total sample size was 50 students., class IA as a control group and class IB as the experimental group. Sampling was chosed by employing cluster random sampling. The techniques used to collect data were tests and observation. The test was in the form of storytelling and the data collected were analiyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and inferential statistical parametric T- Test genius that is processed by the computer program SPPS version 18 windows. Results of hypothesis testing show that the coefficient of tcount is 3.374 and on the significant level 95%, it was found that ttable (2.02). Thus, tcount is greater than ttable then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the students’ score on pretest and posttest in the experimental group. In addition, the uses of macromedia flash is more effective to be used in storytelling learning at elementary students in class I Hartaco Indah Makassar.

Abstract

The research is a quasi experiment research with pretest-posttest control design. The population of the research was 94 students who divided into five classes. Cluster sampling technique was used to determine the sample of 36 students who consisted of the control and the experiment classes; each class consisted of 18 students. The instrument of the research was essay test. The data of the research was analyzed by utilizing descriptive statistic and inferential statistic analysis. The results of the research reveal that (1) the poetry writing ability of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Tinambung before utilizing audio visual learning media is categorized as unsatisfactory based on the mean score obtain in pre test at the control class by 2.05 with 44.44%. While the mean score of the experiment class is 2.00 with 61.11% (2) the poetry writing ability of class VII students at SMP Negeri I Tinambung after utilizing audio visual learning media on the experiment class is in good category based on the result of post-test which indicated that the mean score is 2,81 with 38.89% (3) the effectiness of utilizing audio visual learning media in writing poetry ability based on the result of hypothesis test showed that t count (5.445) > t table (2.04), in another words, HI is accepted or utilization of audio visual learning media is effective in learning poetry writing of class VII students at SMP Negeri I Tinambung.

Abstract

The research aims to know the role of teachers of Character Education Citizenship Education of Students of Class X in SMK Paku. This research is a descriptive study, the subjects of the research is students of Class X SMK Paku Polewali Mandar District of Binuang with 116 population Learners. The study sample consisted of 24 students with the data collection by using form observations, questionnaires, and interviews that are analyzed With way descriptive qualitative analysis using the formula fg Yang using frequency tables and will be analyzed with deductive, inductive, and comparative. The findings of research, find that the citizenship education teachers have the important role in learner character education. The teachers participation is formed character learners rated as the role of a teacher improve character learners, so the students can be recognized characters that it has, and find the character so that learners have the good mental and implement in everyday life. The teacher's role is very big to gave birth to man of character, because they are accountable hearts inculcate the positive nature is shown to the learners so that no arises deviations performed by learners due to moral decadence. master yang aware position as teachers will be more easy improve their students than teachers participants characters that just memposisiskan himself as lecturer.

Therefore, it is necessary to study to be formulated why political elites tend to use celebrity -style political maneuvering , which can contribute both theoretical and practical science . Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify functional characteristics of English teacher talks when delivering material in English classroom for target students in Makassar Islamic University. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative. The data are obtained from talks of four teachers through observation, recording, interview and field notes. The teacher talks are carefully transcribed. The data are analyzed by categorizing the teachers’ talks to find out the functional characteristics of the talks. The research indicated nine functional characteristics of teacher talks: introducing material, correcting, repeating, explaining, defining, giving example, clarifying, questioning and encouraging. Each functional characteristic is employed to make the teaching process meaningful for the students’ comprehensions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe semasiologi in Toraja. This research is a type of comparative qualitative research. The data in this study were Toraja based on two hundred Gloss Swadesh collected from informants in five research locations, namely Rembon, Makale, Salubarani, Sa'dan, and Baruppu. Data was collected using interview techniques and noted. The results of the study show that semasiologically found in Toraja. Semasiologi refers to the meaning of two forms of the same language but has different concepts or meanings. Semasiology in the Toraja language can be found in the words sia, sola, tambuk, penaa, ula ', baine, muane, and five.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the general idea of community – Tui-Tuing fishmonger and how community social capital Tui-Tuing fishmonger on the beach Labuang . The study was conducted in the village of Mosso Sendana Majene districts, the majority of income as fishermen and fish sellers Tui-Tuing. The targeted data retrieval are people who work as a fishmonger Tui-Tuing. The data taken in this study is qualitative. Data were collected by in-depth interviews and observation. The results showed that as a community that sells traditional food Mandar : tui - wink tapa (smoked flying fish) and Best Japanese , and became one of livelihood in the village of the District somba Sendana Majene . The job they have done for a long time to still be in progress until today. Some elements of social capital are found in Fish Seller Tui-Tuing, including participation (participation), values and social norms (social value and norms), and trust (mutual trust). It is based on the socio-cultural and economic conditions that describe the social activities that tend to be engaged in the sale of fish Tui-Tuing.

Abstract

This is a development research focuses on developing mathematics learning tools of cooperative setting using Bruner theory. Learning instruments on this research include students’ book, studens worksheet, lesson plan, learning outcomes test of students in class VIIe of MTs. Negeri Bontotangnga. It used a Thiagarajan model (4-D) which consisted of several phases, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The developed learning tools were validated by two experts by the result of valid and 2 observers by the result on the good category. The trial was conducted in MTs. Negeri Bontotangnga by number of students were 25 people. The result of showed that the learning tools have fulfilled the criteria of practical and was classified on good category. The field trial revealed that the learning tools have fulfilled the criteria of effective, those are: (1) mathematics learning outcomes has fulfilled the minimum mastery criteria as much 88%, and directly the classical mastery also fulfilled; (2) students’ activities were run as expected; (3) students’ responses has fulfilled the criteria of positive response. Based on thet result, it can be concluded that mathematics learning tools of cooperative setting using Bruner theory fulfilled the criteria of valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Decision support system is a system that can aid decision-making through the use of data and decision models to solve problems that are semi-structured and unstructured decision to provide alternative options and can produce solutions faster and more reliable results. Decision support systems are also designed so that it can be used easily by people who do not have basic computer operations capabilities and their implementation in the field of higher education. In supporting the completion of this field, the role of computer technology is very important to be applied as a support in information management and decision-making fast, effective and efficient. One critical decision is the decision-making, especially in school grade. This decision has many indicators in the determination. Frequent delays in the determination of the increase in class because of slow processing inputted data as an indicator. The increase in the improper class will have a considerable influence on the acceptance of the subject matter to a higher grade level because of a student's academic condition is not yet at that level, so the teacher will have difficulty in providing the subject matter

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research carried out during two cycles, which aims to increase the students' mathematics learning class X4 through programming Microsoft Power Point into computer media and projector LCD on the subject of three dimensions in SMA 8 Makassar. The subjects were students of class 8 Makassar X4 SMU taught by the author as many as 36 students. Data collection through achievement test after completion of material taught at the end of each cycle. The data analysis technique is qualitative and quantitative, quantitative analysis using descriptive statistical results of this study indicate that: (1) An increase in the results of students' mathematics learning of the first cycle keSiklus II after improvement slide on programming Microsoft Power Point (MPP) into computer media and LCD projector. (2) the first cycle students 'average score of 57.80 with a standard deviation of 10.14 at the ideal score of 100. (3) Cycle II students' average score of 78.33 with a standard deviation of 9.85 to the ideal score of 100. (4) the presence, liveliness and sincerity students attend learning activities also showed an increase visible from the observation during the learning takes place. Based on these results it can be concluded. Whereas, the application of the use of computer media and LCD projectors with learning programs that are made of a presentation application program that Microsoft Power Point (MPP) students may be interested and motivated to participate in learning activities that increase math learning outcomes.
