Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to investigate the implementation of local leadership in community Katobengke, and evaluate the role of local leadership in the preservation of culture Buton. This study used qualitative research methods, with an ethnographic approach. What this study in three villages in the subdistrict Betoambari Katobengke Village, Village Lipu, and Village Waborobo. Informants in this study is parabela, the customs, and the village chief. Methods of data collection in this research are: the method of participant observation (partisipation observation method), in-depth interviews (interview method), and library research (library research). The method of data analysis is the analysis of qualitative data. The results until now still looks implementation of local leadership for community groups in the frame Katobengke formal authority-administrative leadership. Parabela obtain the source of authority from customary rules are still strongly attached in the community. Values - values and norms that have traditionally been handed down since the ancestors can be a reference for behavior in the social life of the citizens of the city of Bau-Bau heterogeneity without a negative view of one of the groups that the Katobengke in interacting with other townspeople Bau-Bau. These values are disseminated and transformed by parabela through customary institutions that have long proven Katobengke society to remain confident and continue to build cooperation with external parties is the Katobengke social capital, which can be an example for city residents others outside the community katobengke, because generally people of Bau-Bau has been heavily influenced by modern life, individualistic and with a range of conflict. The role of local leadership in cultural pelastarian buton still act as adat. Key words: local leadership, cultural preservation Buton, and Katobengke society

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research studies about puhora'ano sangia ritual as one of the local culture products of Cia-Cia Burangasi society, Buton regency, Southeast Sulawesi. Specifically, this study attempts to analyze how the ritual functions for the supporters of the present. The data in this study are obtained through participant observation and in-depth interviews then analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The result of the research shows that the puhora'ano sangia ritual in existence has some function in supporting the community, that are religious, social, cultural inheritance, work ethics and environmental wisdom. In religion, puhora'ano sangia ritual is a means to establish communication with the supernatural power to be given the protection of the various demons that threaten their agricultural activities. Socially, puhora'ano sangia ritual is a means of social control, social media and social norms, and grouping (social alignment). As a cultural inheritance, judging from the number of children involved in the ritual procession by itself can capture the values that exist in them, instilled in him and ultimately sought to preserve the culture. The function of work ethic, it can be seen from the effort and hopes to obtain better results than the previous harvest. While from the point of environmental wisdom, this ritual is as a means to re-live the inaugural worldview those who see supernatural beings, man and nature as an integral unity and interdependence, so that when damage the natural is a means of self-destructive. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to find social interaction based on local wisdom Ahmadiyah followers in Konawe Selatan. Knowing the Islamic doctrines that they understand influence behavior in the Ahmadiyah religious life in Konawe Selatan. This study uses a qualitative, phenomenological approach, there are two point locations are the concentrations of the two beliefs: Sub Wolasi Ranowila village and district in the Village Konda Lamomea. Informants in this study is defined by purposive sampling consisting of the leaders of the Ahmadiyah, Ahmadiyah Board, Local Government. The method of collecting the data in this study using the method of participant observation, interviews, focus group discussions and literature studies. Results showed Ahmadiyah followers in Konawe Selatan goes well and peacefully. This is evident from the dialogue organized by the Ahmadiyah Jamaat and Hizbut Tahrir held in District Konda, Ahmadiyah consistently run three ministerial decree on the ground without any coercion, and the Ahmadiyah Jamaat are active in religious activities and the activities of mutual cooperation, hometown celebration held by the village government used as a form of wisdom from local communities. Islamic doctrines that affect the behavior of followers of Ahmadiyah religious Konawe Selatan. These doctrines were found: a). Organizational vision, b). Thought reference sources, c). Products interpretation, and d) Method. The creation of peace and the Ahmadiyya community in South Konawe can not be separated from aspects: a). Graphic socio religious tolerance images local regional, b). Houses of worship symbols harmony and tolerance awareness, c). Ahmadiyah communication networks, d). Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to investigate, analyze the work ethic of Tolaki tribal communities in rural areas in Konawe, and to identify and analyze the relationship between work ethic and cultural values held by the tribal people in the countryside of Tolaki in Konawe district. The method used in this study is interviewing techniques (in-depth interviews), and observation. Interview technique is conducted in-depth interviews (in-depth interview) either structured or open dialogue (long open-ended interview) to the informant or subject of study in accordance with the objectives of the study. In-depth interviews were asked about work ethics and cultural values in the Tolaki community. While observational techniques use to support data analysis and this technique is one pretty good way to collect data in the field of qualitative research. Observation technique is basically done at the beginning of the assessment or collection of information about the location of the research, to make observations during the execution of a job and or customs and activities of cal communities (at the sites). Abstract

ABSTRACT The title of this study is the Communication Symbolic of Grand Mosque Buton palace reveal existence an dexpression collective Integrative Awareness in Buton Community Social systems. This study aims to reveal the symbolic form of communication and trying to understand the link ages and symbolic communication Ahmadiyah mosqu eon the expression of the collective consciousness in the social system of integrativeculturalSociety of Buton. The method of the research is in its implementation apply multi dimensional approach. The poin the stressedis not just one approach toscience alone, but seeks to unravel the phenomenon of symbolic communication integrity in the Great Mosque of Sultan Buton primarily phenomenological approach and ethnographic approaches. This study in cludes the type of qualitative research-emphasizing descriptive observational participatory, in-depth interviews and documentation. Mosque of Sultan Buton is the only relic of the Government of the Sultanate of Buton remaining and still exists and functions today. Work for the Buton mosque is not just an artifact of communication, but as a complex symbol that communicates therhythmand momentum of the movement of history, comparative advantage, productivity, and creativity, the ability to transform great ideas in the context of local socio-cultural, cognitive intelligence, emotive, behavioral, and spiritual depth of intelligence achievement. Abstract

ABSTRACT Every indigeneous culture is an asset that has a value that should be in the preserve history, passed down continuously from one generation to the next. Oral Tradition as a culture heritage can be used as one of the entrances to further understand the people and their culture. Oral Tradition should be used at the present time to revive the values of good for people in their life. An important role of tradition in a society lies in its ability to communicate the tradition, knowledge, and certain etnic custom, or can be describe human experiences in both individual and social dimension, to the other ethnic groups. This oral tradition consisted of several forms, such as rhyme. For the people of Tolaki, rhyme reffered to as kinoho or lolamoa. This verse is usually delivered in a traditional ceremony, reception as guests at the wedding or government guests who come to visit. Kinoho or lolamoa contains satire, advices, oath and covenant. Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this study is to discover a model-based educational character of Katoba tradition that can be a specific methodologies to inculcate the values of local wisdom in the community and be a solution to the moral problem. This study is important because today's emerging phenomenon of attitudes and behaviors that are less noble character among students, teenagers, and young people, while character education in schools has not been going well. The research method applied is descriptive qualitative, selecting informants by purposive sampling. The results shows that: First, the Muna Kendari city have educational character model that is based on local wisdom of Katoba tradition. Second, the model-based educational character Katoba aims to introduce religious values in early children aged of 7-12 years, ahklak teachings instilled in children by introducing the basic things that contains the value of the good and evil in the Muna language nimotehi be nimokodo (case that are forbidden and don'ts), to teach children to appreciate the values of social life, and avoid the things that are not his (hakunasi). Abstract

ABSTRACT This article discusses about the fishing ritual of Bajo ethnic in Tanjung Pinang village Kusambi district Muna regency. There are several things that become focus in this discussion that are the kinds of fishing ritual and its implementation of Bajo ethnic in the village of Tanjung Pinang. Then, analyze the changes of fishing ritual activities because the interaction with outside communities. The methods of data collection in this research are observation and interviews. The types of data in this study are primary and secondary data that analyzed by using qualitative data analysis. The results of this study indicated that the fishing ritual activities carried out when occur a decline of marine management and frequent accidents at sea. Aspects related to fishing ritual were religious, economic, psychological, democracy, environmental, social, and health aspects. The changes occurred in the form of the change of mindset and value in the community. The causes of the change was due to transmission constraints, the amalgamation, the high interaction with the outside communities, the inclusion of communication technology, electronic media and the influence of religious sects. Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are to identify and to prove the phenomena of domestic capital that directly or not apply capitalism approach, or agrarian imperialism toward social economic life of farmer community in the village. This research applies field research method by focusing to participatory development approach. The data were collected by applying participatory rural appraisal (PRA), focus groups discussion, FGD), and in depth interview. The results showed that the process of exploitation of the wilderness mountain has been transformed into several villages and even into some areas have formed mountain villages, so fatal to rural residents located in the lower area. This subject increasingly worried about the surrounding communities, because the exploitation was not only done by the people who categorize as greedy of land. Not only the farmer who continually adding plantation areas, but also unscrupulous local elite who play role in government bureaucracy. Key words: exploitation, capital actors and estates

Abstract

ABSTRACT Applying culture in the form of behavior or habits of each tribe is different, so it will give an identity to each appropriate tribe cultural habits. At the Toraja people are very attached to their culture in terms of death or corpse burial ceremonies, which famous as rambu solo. However, based on the results of this study revealed that the implementation of rambu solo custom procession in Pomalaa sub district of Kolaka had differences with the implementation of the customs from the native region of Tana Toraja in South Sulawesi. It was because of the neighborhoods and the culture of local communities that different with the culture of Tator ethnic. As the result of that, people there tended to simplify the traditional procession. Cultural constructions in shoreline become different from origin culture.
