Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sebaran pohon aren unggul di Kota Kendari yangdapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku pangan dan sumber benih unggul. Pengidentifikasian pohon arenunggul dilakukan berdasarkan kriteria tanaman aren plus. Pohon aren yang diidentifikasi adalah pohonpohonarenproduktif,baikyangmerupakantanamanbudidayaataupuntumbuhsecaraliar.Pohon-pohonaren produktif dilabel, kemudian datanya direkam dan dioverlaykan ke dalam peta Rupa Bumi Indonesia(RBI) Sulawesi Tenggara (Bakosultarnal) sehingga dihasilkan peta sebaran pohon aren produktif di KotaKendari. Hasil penelitian ini adalah teridentifikasi 12,67% pohon aren unggul di Kota Kendari, dengansebaran 52,63% di wilayah Kecamatan Puuwatu dan 47,37% di Kecamatan Abeli. Kata kunci: Bahan baku pangan, pohon aren, unggul, sumber benih.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the shape and existence of local wisdom in the development of sago and to analyze the development strategy of sago processing based on local wisdom in the Angata District, Konawe Selatan Regency. The research variables consisted of forms of local wisdom, strength factors, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the development of sago processing. Data were analyzed with SWOT analysis. The results showed that the form and existence of local wisdom in sago processing activities in the Angata District that were still maintained were the involvement of workers, the selection of sago tree stands, and the destruction of pellets. Meanwhile, the strategy of managing sago crops based on local wisdom in Angata District can be done by utilizing the potential of land availability, expanding the network and market absorption, forming capital cooperation, adopting technology, optimizing income and public awareness, the assertiveness of sago regulation, improving the quality of human resources farmers, as well as the preparation of instructors/advisors who are competent in the field of sago management.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to explain the meaning contained in the Wa Wulamoni and Wa Mata Legends in the Muna Ethnic, as well as to explain the values contained in the Wa Wulamoni and Wa Mata Legends in the Muna Ethnic.The theory used was the thought of Roland Barthes about Semiotics and Clyde Kluckhohn's thinking about Cultural Values. The method used in the research was qualitative descriptive. Data Sources in the research were Wa Wulamoni and Wa Mata legends that were extracted or taken from informants. Data collection techniques in this research were direct observation, recording and quotation.The data in this research were analyzed using descriptive analytics. The results of the analysis can be concluded that the meanings contained in Wa WulamoniLegenddescribe social life of the Muna ethnic, such as glorifying a woman, the Patience Test, persevering and describing the traditions of the Muna ethnic community, namely the traditions of kaghomboand marriage, whereas the meaning of Wa Mata legend, namely: Ethics or behavior of child care in the family, respect for women, and discordant marriages. The values contained in the Wa Wulamoni and Wa Mata Legends, namely: Economic values that describe the economic system of the Lamaeo Village community, moral values that describe habits in everyday life, and religious values that describe the belief system in Muna ethnic especially in the community of Lamaeo and Lakarinta villages. Keywords: Meaning, value, legend, Muna ethnic

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaantradisi kalentuno gholeo pada masyarakat suku Muna. Penelitiann inimenggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan denganpengamatan terlibat atau observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumen yangberkaitan dengan pelaksanaan tradisi kalentuno gholeo pada masyarakat sukuMuna. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas data primer data datasekunder. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses pelaksanaan tradisikalentuno gholeo pada masyarakat suku Muna telah menjadi sistem pengetahuanlokal bagi masyarakat suku Muna. Proses pelaksanaan tradisi kalentuno gholeopada masyarakat suku Muna dengan bentuk-bentuk perhitungan sepertimenggunakan jari tangan, kalender hijria selama sepekan, satu bulan dan selamasatu tahun, perputaran jam yang satu sama lain terdapat keterkaitan yang sangaterat. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this study is to describe the implications of modernization on traditional games for children and adolescents in Guali Village, Kusambi District, West Muna Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Subjects in this study were determined by purposive snowball that is the samples were obtained through a rolling process from one respondent to another and were usually used to explain the social or communication (sociometric) patterns of a particular community. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implications of modernization on traditional games for children and adolescents in Guali Village, Kusambi District, West Muna Regency are as follows: (a) economic implications, (b) health implications, (c), social implications, and (d) implications of the loss of creative ideas.Keywords: Implication, moderenization, traditional games, children and adolescents

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian adalah: (1) untuk mendeskripsikan prosesi pelaksanaan adat perkawinan pada masyarakat Etnik Muna di kabupatenan Muna; dan (2) untuk menganalisis makna tuturan adat perkawinan pada masyarakat Etnik Muna. Jenis jenelitian ini yaitu penelitain deskriptif kualitatif. Informan penelitian ini dengan menggunkan unsur kesengajaan yaitu tohoh-tokoh adat serta tokoh masyarakat. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu observasi lapangan, wawancara langsung serta rekaman kejadian, dengan foto dan vidio. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada model analisis Miles dan Huberman, yaitu Pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan (verifikasi). Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) prosesi pernikahan dengan bentuk doangka mata (kawin pinang adalah dimulai dari: a. Dekanamu-namu, b. Dempali-mpali, c. De kamata, d. Dorompu, e. Desalo too, f. Defeenagho tungguno karete, g. Kagaa atawa okafokawi, h. Kabhintingiano Kafeena, i. Kataburi, j. Kabhintiangiano Paniwi, k. Kabhintingiano Adhati bhalano, l. Kabhintingiano lolino ghawi, m. Kabhintingiano kaokanuha, n. Kabhintingiano kafoatoha, o. Matano kenta, p. Desalo kafetangkahando agamando anahi, q. Kafelesau, r. Kafosulino katulu. (2) Makna tuturan dalam prosesi perkawinan pada masyarakat etnik Muna yaitu tujuh kabhintingia dalam prosesi perkawinan masyarakat etnik Muna mempunyai satu makna tuturan yaitu dimana tujuh kabhintingia tersebut yaitu sebagai tangga perjalanan Nabi Muhammad SAW menujuh langit ketujuh, sedangkan makna tuturan dalm prosesi yang lainya yaitu sebagai adat menujuh perkawinan. Sehingga perkawinan merupakan perjalanan hidup yang sangat lama didalamnya dipenuhi dengan tanggungjawab yang sangat berat dan bahkan perkawinan merupakan salah satu ibadah yang sangat panjang dan yang sangat lama dan semua itu dimintai pertanggungjawabanya nanti di akhirat. Sehingga didalam pekawinan itu orang tua dan sanak keluarga selalu mendoakan kedua mempelai agar menjadi keluarga yang sakinna, mawadda, warohma, dan  tujuan dari perkawinan itu adalah agar keturunan mereka berguna bagi bangsa dan Negara dan sukses dunia dan akhirat”.Kata Kunci: Pernikahan, Tuturan, Etnik Muna.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article discusses about the fishing ritual of Bajo ethnic in Tanjung Pinang village Kusambi district Muna regency. There are several things that become focus in this discussion that are the kinds of fishing ritual and its implementation of Bajo ethnic in the village of Tanjung Pinang. Then, analyze the changes of fishing ritual activities because the interaction with outside communities. The methods of data collection in this research are observation and interviews. The types of data in this study are primary and secondary data that analyzed by using qualitative data analysis. The results of this study indicated that the fishing ritual activities carried out when occur a decline of marine management and frequent accidents at sea. Aspects related to fishing ritual were religious, economic, psychological, democracy, environmental, social, and health aspects. The changes occurred in the form of the change of mindset and value in the community. The causes of the change was due to transmission constraints, the amalgamation, the high interaction with the outside communities, the inclusion of communication technology, electronic media and the influence of religious sects. Abstract

This research was conducted in Wakuni Village, Sawerigadi District, West Muna Regency with the aim of knowing the process of implementation, symbolic meaning, and the values contained in the Popanga ritual of the Muna ethnic group. The method used in this study isdescriptive qualitative. Data collection is done by observation (observation), in-depth interviews,and documentation. The technique of determining informants in this study was conducted bypurposive sampling, while the informants in this study were 6 people consisting of religiousleaders, traditional leaders, community leaders and other informants who knew the custom. Thedata analysis technique in this study consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the process ofperforming the popanga ritual has several stages, namely (1) the stage of preparation for theritual popanga (2) the stage of implementation (3) the stage of the kasolo (looking at thesituation). The symbolic meaning in the popanga ritual is divided into two types, namely (1) themeaning of tools and offerings (2) the meaning of speech. The valuescontained in the popanga ritual are religious values, cultural values, and social values.

Abstract

Abstract.The objective of this study were to describe types and form of local wisdom in meeting of local food and its implementation compare with the condition of 30 years ago. Populations of this study were farmers who have farming experience more than 30 years. Qualitative analysis was be used in this study. The study results showed that there were some types of farmer’s local wisdoms, consist of land opening, land preparing, cultivation, harvesting, and processing of farm products. Types of local wisdom such as agriculture systems, and ritual ceremonies. An agriculture system in land preparing was slash and burn system, in the procedure of planting and maintenance of plants in the form of a system of rotation and intercropping, while the processing of agricultural product is done by prescription obtained hereditary. Ritual ceremonial among others; Kasalasa, Kaago-ago, and Kasambuwite. Local wisdom that are still maintained in land preparing by slash and burn system, in cultivation with rotation and intercropping system, and in processing of agricultural product into comestible durable. Traditional rituals began experiencing fading due to the times and increased demands of life.Keyword: local wisdom, farmers, local food

Abstract

This study aimed to determine: (1) an analysis of the cooperative’s performance based on the  agricultural  criteria  in  the district  of Kolaka, according to  the guidelines  on cooperative fostering and  cooperative  classification;  (2)  the performance of  the cooperative  as perceived by  farmers  and  cooperatives management;  (3) determine  the benefits gained by farmers as members of cooperatives; (4) an analysis of the relationship between performance and the benefits obtained by farmers as a cooperative member. The results showed that,  based on the  Guidelines  for  Cooperatives  Classification,  the performance of agricultural cooperatives in Kolaka in 2007 was on the average of 61.58 and fell within the “quite well” category. In 2008 the average performance of 62.05 and cooperatives are included in the category quite well. In2009, the average performance of the cooperatives was  62.38, remaining in the same  category.  In 2010  the  average performance was 61.28, also staying  in the category of “quite well”. Furthermore,  the management of cooperatives as well as the majority of stakeholders considered that the agricultural cooperatives in Kolaka met the criteria of “quite well”, as many as 48.75%. The majority of  respondents  (65%) considered the agricultural cooperatives  in Kolaka helpful.  Based on  SEM  analysis,  the relationship  of  the agricultural  cooperative performance was found  to be positively correlated  to the benefits obtained by farmers. Standardized  coefficient  value  of 0.85  has a value  of  14.40t statistic.  Standardized coefficient value of 0.85 indicates that the performance and benefits of the cooperative have  a real  relationship  closeness.  Sequentially  the  components  of  performance  that contribute  from  the  largest to  the smallest are, firstly, the concern for the community, which is equal to0.86. The component of voluntary and open membership component is 0.80.  The component of  democratic  control  by members  is 0.79.  The component of economic participation of member is 0.71. And the component of education and training is  0.25.  Regarding the  components of  the  cooperative  benefits,  the components that contributes  sequentially,  from  the  largest to  the smallest, are  the economic benefits of marketing,  that is equal to 0.96;the benefits of a large savings and loan with 0.88;  the economic benefits of farmers needs 0.86; and social benefits 0.48.
