Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the ability to write classified ads and attitudes of independence by using small advertisement media for class VIII students of SMPN 1 Selong in the learning year 2018/2019. This research is classroom action research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely 1) planning stage, 2) implementation, 3) Observation and reflection. The instrument of this research is in the form of tests and observation guidelines. The success of the action is determined by seeing an increase in the average value of the ability to write classified ads in cycle I to cycle II. The results showed an increase in the average value of writing classified ads in the first cycle of 75 to 81 in the second cycle, the score of the independent attitude 76 in the first cycle, to 88 in the second cycle. These results indicate that the use of codec advertisement media can improve the ability to write classified ads and independence in class VIII SMPN l Selong Academic Year 2018/2019.Keywords: writing, classified ads; independence; small advertising.

Abstract

Indonesian has a word formation variant as an effort to update the vocabulary. However, not many people who use language know the terms transliteration, absorption and equivalent words in Indonesian. This makes a word accepted without knowing the original word form. The purpose of writing this article is to describe vocabulary written in the form of transliteration, absorption, and also equivalent words in Indonesian. The methodology used in this study is content analysis by focusing on the text used as the object of study. The results of research findings conducted by researchers are the existence of vocabulary in the form of transliteration, absorption, and equivalents that are often used in communication. The researcher gives an explanation of a word that is included in transliteration, absorption, and equivalence.Keyword: word form; language update; language terms.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the semantic relation of words in the lyrics of Struggle song of Nahdlatul Wathan worked TGKH. M. Zainuddin Abdul Majid with semantic study. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a form of qualitative research. The data in this study are the words that contain the semantic relationships in lyrics of Struggle song of Nahdlatul Wathan worked TGKH. M. Zainuddin Abdul Majid with semantic study. Sources of data in this study is the lyrics of Struggle song of Nahdlatul Wathan created by TGKH. M. Zainuddin Abdul Majid. Technique used in this research is interview and documentary studies. Data analysis technique is done through a phase of data reduction, data presentation, and concluded the data. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be deduced that the lyrics of Struggle song of Nahdlatul Wathan worked TGKH. M. Zainuddin Abdul-Majid are synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, hyponymy and hypernymy, redundancies and polysemy. Every relationship has a meaning that can be a lesson in social life. The songs contained on the teachings and exhortations, that as Muslims must maintain, strengthen faith and piety to Allah. In addition, as a citizen of Nahdlatul Wathan should be invited to foster a spirit of faith and devotion as a support to form the spirit of diversity and nationality.Keywords: Meaning Relationship; Semantic Study; Struggle Song.

Abstract

This study uses descriptive research methods. The data in this study are qualitative data in the form of words, phrases, clauses, or sentences in the form of lexical and grammatical cohesion in the short stories of Mini Books Dea Karya Watiek Ideo and Yuli Rahmawati. The source of the data in this study is the discourse of the short stories Mini Book of Watiek Ideo and Yuli Rahmawati. The technique used to collect data in this research is documentation technique. Data processing techniques in this study use qualitative analysis. The results and discussion show that the short story entitled Mini Dea Books by Watiek Ideo and Yuli Rahmawati found grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion. The grammatical cohesion found is substitution (replacement), subordinate conjunctions of ways, subordinate conjunctions of causes, personal references, anaphorical references, demonstrative references, coordinative conjunctions, subordinate conjunctions, conjunctions between sentences. The lexical cohesion found was epistrofa repetition and antonyms.Keywords: children's story; cohesion; grammatical cohesion; lexical cohesion.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the type of metaphor in the drama  script Senja dengan Dua Kelelawar. This study uses a type of qualitative descriptive research where unbound places analyze the form of descriptions that are not in the form of numbers or coefficients about the relationship of variables. The method used is content analysis by examining the contents of a document. In this study the document in question is a drama script Senja dengan Dua kelelawar. The data collection technique used in this research is the observation and note technique, because the data is in the form of text. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation and verification. Based on data analysis carried out on the drama Senja dengan Dua Kelelawar by Kirdjomulyo, it contains four types of metaphoric language styles according to the Parera theory consisting of 9 data anthropomorphic metaphors, 3 animal metaphor data, 7 data abstract to concrete metaphors, and 4 data synesthesia metaphors.Keywords: semantics; metaphor; drama script.

Abstract

This study aims to know the difference on learning outcome of scientific writing paper technique between student who is taught by using drill and practice method with tutorial method study program of Indonesian Language and Literature Education at Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Hamzanwadi University.This study was comparative by using the experimental method with the quasy experiment design. This study sample was the fourth semester for student of Study Program of Indonesian Language and Literature Education at Hamzanwadi University.The data was collected by using test technique and analyzed using the ttest. the result of the analysis of variance showed that tcount 4.60> ttable = 1.68 at the significance level of 95% so that there was difference in the result of learning scientific writing paper technique of student who was taught by using drill and practice method with the tutorial method. Furthermore, if it is viewed from the average obtained, the learning outcome of student's scientific writing paper technique is taught by using a drill and practice method higher than the tutorial method.Keywords : learning outcome; drill and practice method; tutorial method.

Abstract

This research is a pragmatic study which aims to describe the form and strategy of the speech acts that are dazzling to the Sasak people in Gereneng Village, Sakra Timur District. Data collection uses interview techniques, observation, and is supported by a Test questionnaire Completing the Discourse. Data analysis uses the extralingual equivalent method. The results of the study show that the form of the speech act menyilaq using a one-sentence speech, two-sentence speech, three-sentence speech, and speech in more than three sentences. Meanwhile, the strategy of silence is done in the order of the opening greetings> apologies> introducing oneself> introducing the owner of the title> delivering the contents / message> hope> asking permission to leave> thank you> closing greetings. In responding to speech acts, the community manifests them in the form of receptive speech and speech rejecting. In the speech accepting the promising strategy, while in the speech refusing to use the strategy: thank you> apology> argumentation> message.Keywords: speech acts; menyilaq; Sasak language; pragmatics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the achievement and increase in the independence of literary learning among students through education based learning character responsibility. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the form of classroom action research. The results of the study obtained an increase in the independence of student learning through character education responsibility. This is seen based on the increase in value from the results of analysis of student learning independence observation sheets that have increased. Judging from the learning outcomes of students of the archipelago literature course. The average student learning independence has increased from 63.57% with good categories in the first cycle to 81.34% in the excellent category in  cycle II. So that in the second cycle the percentage of each aspect of independence in the observation results fulfills the indicators of success.Keywords: independence of learning; literary archipelago; responsibility character education,.
