Abstract

Dry sugarcane leaves (dadhok) are garbages of sugar cane harvest that have not been managedproperly. One of the alternatives to reduce pollution generated is to use it as compost. This studyaims to determine content of dry sugarcane leaves as compost with the addition of blotong andEM4 activator.This research uses experimental design with Pre-Post Test Only Design. There were fourexperiments conducted within the study: 1st experiment was dry sugarcane leaves (control), 2experiment was dry sugarcane leaves + EM4 activator, 3blotong, 4thrd experiment was dry sugar cane leaves +  experiment was dry sugar cane leaves + EM4 activator + blotong. Data was collectionby measurement and laboratory testing. Data was then analyzed descriptively by referring to theRegulation of the Minister of Agriculture numbers 70 / Permentan / SR.140 / 10/2011 and SNI 197030-2004.Resultshows that of the four experiments conducted, C / N ratio of compost that met the requirement was the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th experiment but only the 3ripe compost requirement (color, texture, smell). Compost of 2ndrd and the 4th experiments fulfilled  experiment was not perfectly ripefor  EM4 only reduce the value of C / N ratio but it cannot degrade the material. On experiment 1,C / N ratio and compost ripeness did not meet the requirement. Macronutrients of all experimentsdid not meet the requirement. This was because the raw material had low macronutrients.Findings conclude that only the 3rd and the 4th experiments meet the requirement of PermentanRegulation number 70 / Permentan / SR.140 / 10/2011 and SNI 19-7030-200. Experiment 1 and 2were not qualified. Findings suggest sugar mills to distribute the abundant waste of blotong tofarmers that it can be used with dry sugarcane leaves as compost. For community who possessugar cane plantations, sugarcane leaves can be used as compost that they can use it to increasetheir income.

Abstract

Daging ayam memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi sehingga cepat mengalami proses pembusukan. Upaya menghambat proses pembusukan pada daging dapat menggunakan bahan alami seperti daun kelor yang memiliki kandungan steroid, saponin, alkaloid, flavonoid dan terpenoid sebagai senyawa antimikroba. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh daun kelor (Moringa olievera) sebagai pengawet alami terhadap angka kuman fillet daging ayam (Gallus domesticus). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Post Test Only Control Group Design  dengan variasi konsentrasi pembeda dalam penggunaan ekstrak daun kelor yaitu 0%, 25%, 50%, dan 75% serta waktu perendaman yang digunakan 30 menit dan penyimpanan 6 jam. Kualitas fisik fillet daging ayam dilakukan secara organoleptik dengan uji sensori dan kualitas mikrobiologi dilakukan uji angka lempeng total.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji sensori fillet daging ayam setelah penyimpanan variasi konsentrasi memperoleh nilai rata-rata 4 (0%), 7 (25%), 7 (50%) dan 8 (75%) dengan jumlah angka lempeng total rata-rata memperoleh 3,6 x 106 koloni/gram, 8,0 x 105 koloni/gram, 7,7 x 104 koloni/gram, 5,7 x 104 koloni/gram.Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara kosentrasi ekstrak daun kelor dengan hasil angka lempeng total terhadap fillet daging ayam setelah perendaman 6 jam. Bagi masyarakat disarankan untuk lebih memanfaatkan daun kelor dikehidupan sehari-hari.Kata Kunci     : Fillet Daging Ayam Broiler, Daun Kelor, Pengawet Alami.

Abstract

Boarding school is a religious educational institution that has its own peculiarities and different from other institutions. Kitchen of a boarding school is a spot of food service for students. Cooking services has  not been managed and handled well by the food handlers that can cause foodborne illness. This study aims to determine the behavior of food handlers on food processing in Roudlotun Nasyiin boarding school Mojokerto regency. This is a descriptive study. Data collection techniques used questionnaires to food handlers in Roudlotun Nasyiin boarding school. The results of the study on 20 food handlers showed that 55%  food handlers in Roudlotun Nasyiin boarding school had good manner, 70% had good knowledge, 50% had  good attitude and 55% had a good action. Some suggestions taken from the result include the use of apron, mask, gloves, and food clamps in food processing to protect the food from contamination. The boarding school managers should send the food handlers to training in food hygiene sanitation conducted by the health department. The health of food handlers must be supervised with periodic examination of food handlers at least twice a year. Keywords: The Behavior, Food Handler, Food Processing

Abstract

The presence of organic trash heap especially durian peels was very abundance when harvesttime. To decreasing trash from durian peels it could be used as biocharcoal briquette. The making ofbiocharcoal briquette by using starch glue addition and water as source to increasing kalor value. Thisresearch purpose to recognize how much kalor value increase in durian peel.This research as research type is Quasi Experiment Design with One Group Pre-Post TestDesign research, namely this design only using one subject group and also make measurement beforeand after provide treatment on subject.The analysis result of tapioca flour addition indicating that give different concentration on heatvalue increase in durian peels. Based on the yield result had be done state that dry durian peel obtainedas many 3863,33 kal/g. While, heat value in durian peel already processed become biocharcoal briquettewith tapioca flour addition 1% gained average result 4047,46 kallg, tapioca flour addition 2% gainedaverage result 4225,25 kal/g, and tapioca flour addition 3% gained average result 4546,11 kal/g.There improvement on heat value of dry durian peel and had already processed becomebiocharcoal briquette. The increase of heat value (kal/g) gained different result according to tapioca flouraddition and water 100 mililiter that are 1%, 2%, and 3%. Suggested that must be done further research tomake biocharcoal briquette is not only durian peel but also other organic trash heap to rise up kalor value(kal/g) and help to reduce organic trash heap then could be advantage for the people mainly durianmerchants.

Abstract

Penduduk di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tekung sarana air bersih yang digunakan adalah sumur gali. Sumur gali berjumlah 7.320 , namun yang memenuhi syarat kesehatan yaitu 103. Konstruksi sumur yang tidak memenuhi syarat kesehatan dapat menyebabkan pencemaran pada air bersih. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konstruksi sumur gali terhadap kualitas bakteriologis air bersih.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei analitik dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Variabel pada penelitian ini yaitu kualitas bakteriologis air bersih, lokasi, dinding sumur, bibir sumur dan lantai. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 995. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proporsional random sampling. Jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 91. Analisa data menggunakan uji regresi berganda.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa air bersih yang memenuhi syarat bakteriologis yaitu 27 sampel dan 64 tidak memenuhi syarat. Konstruksi sumur yang memenuhi syarat adalah 19 dan 72 tidak memenuhi syarat kesehatan. Sumber pencemar yang meliputi resapan septictank, air kotor, tempat pembuangan sampah, dan kandang ternak. Hasil analisa statistik diketahui bahwa lokasi, dinding sumur dan lantai memiliki pengaruh terhadap kualitas bakteriologis air bersih. Bibir sumur tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap kualitas bakteriologis air bersih.Kontruksi sumur meliputi lokasi, dinding sumur dan lantai mempengaruhi kualitas bakteriologis air bersih. Disarankan kepada puskesmas untuk melakukan penyuluhan mengenai konstruksi sumur yang memenuhi syarat kesehatan dan penyakit yang dapat ditularkan oleh air yang tercemar. Dan puskesmas hendaknya melakukan pemeriksaan kualitas bakteri secara rutin. Kata Kunci : Air Bersih, konstruksi sumur gali, kualitas bakteriologis

Abstract

PT Arto Metal International is one of the companies that utilize production machineries capable ofproducing high-intensity noise. Among the impacts of such engines relate to various health problemsamong workers who work around noisy places such as increased blood pressure. Therefore it isconsidered necessary to learn the differences in blood pressure before and after exposure to occupationalnoise upon workers of the company.This research employed analytical approach, to study the dynamics between risk factors (exposureto noise) and effect (increased blood pressure), based on time. This is a cross-sectional study, since thevariables of risk factors and effects were observed simultaneously. Sampling is done by simple randomsampling, and data were analyzed for blood pressure before and after noise exposure, by way of Paired Ttests.Measurement of noise intensity results in an average of 94.9 dBA. This noise intensity exceeds theTLV (Threshold Limit Value) as designated by the Ministry Manpower No. 51/Men/1999 which is set at 85dBA for 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week. Results of the Paired T-tests, both for systolic and diastolic bloodpressure difference between blood pressure before and after exposure to noiseTherefore, it is suggested that the company execute noise control in technical, administrativeaspects, and provided a number of ear protective devices so that every worker will wear ear protectorswhen workingKeywords: blood pressure; noise.

Abstract

Pesantren is an Islamic boarding school for students to learn the various aspects of Islam. The educationsystem in pesantren Darul Falah V Diwek Jombang District requires students to stay in the dorms during theirentire learning period. Students are therefore required to stay and eat at the boarding school. This conditionrequires food handlers in boarding school to strictly apply food hygiene and sanitation principles in providingthe best possible food preparation services, so that nutritional needs are met and to prevent contaminationform of physical, chemical, and microorganisms that may threaten the health of the students.The results showed the characteristics of the food handlers, they are 100% female, 40% of them aged 20years, and 40% of them have service period of 1 years. In terms of their behavioral profile, 100% have agood knowledge, 100% indicating good attitude and 100% have good conduct. Overall evaluation of foodhygiene sanitation in Darul Falah V Islamic boarding school in Diwek Sub-District Jombang District resulted ina score of 82 %, thus its could not satisfy the designated standard, especially on the variables of buildingsand hygiene of food handlers.The conclusion of this study found that the behavior of food handlers have been good, but there was stillsome aspects of food hygiene practices need to be improved such as on personal hygiene. It is suggestedforfood handlers to provide monitoring and supervision of the sanitation of food processing plant by appointing asupervisor, produce posters containing warning and giving strict sanctions for handlers who do not carry outthe activities according to the existing rules.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data profil kesehatan Kabupaten Bojonegoro Tahun 2016 dari seluruh desa di Kecamatan Temayang, sebanyak 58,4 % belum ODF. Penerapan manajemen pada program ODF yang mereka lakukan diketahui terdapat kendala-kendala diantaranya adalah keterbatasan tenaga kesehatan lingkungan di puskesmas yang merangkap tugas non kesehatan lingkungan, pelaksanaan program yang dilakukan tidak sesuai dengan perencanaan yang telah disusun, serta dukungan pemerintah desa masih kurang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengelolaan program Open Defecation Free (ODF) secara manajerial di Puskesmas Temayang Kabupaten Bojonegoro Tahun 2018. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara kepada seluruh pelaksana program ODF di Puskesmas Temayang berjumlah 21 responden. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa penerapan fungsi-fungsi manajemen pada pengelolaan program ODF di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Temayang adalah baik dengan prosentase sebesar 78,6%. Beberapa komponen yang belum terlaksana dengan maksimal, diantaranya adalah belum adanya pembagian tugas, tidak sesuainya pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan jadwal, kurangnya tenaga pelaksana, belum adanya kebijakan, pemantauan kegiatan dan sumber daya, koreksi kegiatan, dan pendampingan terhadap masyarakat yang terpicu belum berjalan dengan optimal. Adapun saran yang dapat diberikan meliputi menyusun pembagian tugas masing-masing anggota tim kelompok kerja, SOP untuk petugas pelaksana, jadwal kegiatan secara rinci untuk program ODF, menyusun kebijakan berupa pedoman yang dapat digunakan sebagai acuan, melakukan pendampingan kepada masyarakat melalui kerja sama dengan kader dan petugas desa serta meningkatkan koordinasi lintas sektor dengan desa dan kecamatan.Kata Kunci : Pengelolaan, Open Defecation Free

Abstract

Basic sanitation in Islamic Boarding School is very necessary to paid attention because of themain problem in Islamic Boarding School as basic sanitation aspects is ineligible. These basicsanitation included clean water supply, trash fill means, wastewater outlet means, latrine meansthat can be produced various diseasessuch as, diarrhea, dermatitis, and inhalation congestion.This research as descriptive research with cross sectional approach purposed to recognize onbasic sanitation means AI-Fattah Islamic Boarding School in Banjarsari village Buduran DistrictSidoarjo Regency, where performed assessmenttoward the conditions of infrastructure such asclean water supply, trash fill means, wastewater outlet means, latrine means. Data collectingdone with observation and interview. Data taken then analyzed descriptively.The result of the research of assessment toward basic sanitation means Al-Fattah IslamicBoarding School included clean water supply gain score 257 (71,3%), trash fill means gain 70(50%), wastewater outlet means gain score 66 (47,2%), latrine means gain score 272 (75,5%).Suggested in order to improving the cleaning frequency in basic sanitation facilities routinely tokeep their cleanliness.Keywords : Basic Sanitation Islamic Boarding School

Abstract

Pada tingkat ketinggian tempat yang berbeda dapat mempengaruhi suhu dan kelembaban udara suatu wilayah. Berdasarkan Dirjen P2PL Kementerian Kesehatan RI di tempat dengan ketinggian lebih dari 1.000 mdpl semestinya tidak ditemukan nyamuk Aedes aegypti yang merupakan vektor penular penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue karena pada ketinggian tersebut suhu udara terlalu rendah sehingga tidak memungkinkan bagi kehidupan nyamuk.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui distribusi tempat perindukan Aedes sp. pada dataran tinggi dan dataran rendah Kelurahan Tulungrejo dan Kelurahan Giripurno, Kecamatan Bumiaji, Kota Batu.Jenis penelitian ini adalah survei deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis spasial berupa peta digital Kota Batu dan data titik koordinat rumah sampel yang diperoleh dari pengukuran menggunakan alat GPS. Data yang diperoleh diolah menjadi peta baru sebagai informasi distribusi tempat perindukan Aedes sp.Hasil pengamatan di Kelurahan Tulungrejo didapatkan nilai HI sebesar 1,7%, CI sebesar 2,22%, dan BI sebesar 3,39 sehingga tergolong dalam kategori kepadatan rendah (density figure=1). Pada wilayah Kelurahan Giripurno didapatkan nilai HI sebesar 15,25%, CI sebesar 13,51%, dan BI sebesar 16,95 sehingga tergolong dalam kategori kepadatan sedang (density figure=3). Telah terjadi perubahan perilaku berkembangbiak nyamuk Aedes sp. di Kelurahan Tulungrejo. Nyamuk Aedes sp. sudah mampu bertahan hidup dan berkembangbiak meskipun berada di wilayah dataran tinggi lebih dari 1.000 mdpl.Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi sebaran perindukan nyamuk Aedes sp. di wilayah dataran tinggi 1.000 mdpl. Serta perlu adanya kewaspadaan dini pencegahan DBD di wilayah dataran tinggi. Kata kunci: distribusi larva Aedes sp., perbedaan dataran
