Abstract

Oketani massage can stimulate the strength of the pectoralis muscle to increase milk production. Acupressure can increase endorphins, reduce pain, and make the body more relaxed. This study was to determine the effect of the combination of Oketani massage and acupressure on prolactin levels in post Sectio Caesarea (SC) mothers. This research was quasi-experimental with a pretest and posttest control group design. The study's results using the independent sample T-test analysis showed no difference in prolactin levels before breast treatment and a combination of Oketani and acupressure massage. There was a significant difference (p=0.002) in the treatment group after combining Oketani massage and acupressure for post SC mothers and prolactin levels after receiving breast care. This study showed a significant difference (p=0.002) in the treatment group after a combination of Oketani massage and acupressure for post SC was performed. In addition, there was a difference in prolactin levels in the treatment group before and after a combination of Oketani massage and acupressure with an average increase in prolactin levels, which was 151 g/ml (SD±101) (p=0.001). However, there was no difference in the control group. Oketani massage combined with acupressure can be given to post SC mothers.

Abstract

The puerperal period is accompanied by various changes, can be physiological or pathological, that can minimized by providing effective information for mothers. Currently, the dissemination of information is practically through mobile applications. The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs for the development of educational applications for postpartum care. The mixed method research was conducted with respondent was 65 postpartum women and 3 midwives using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire and an interview guide. Data analysis used univariate and qualitative analysis. The results showed that the use of MCH Handbooks was mostly good (67.69%), educational media were mostly MCH books (44.74%), the most education was exclusive breastfeeding (96.92%), the least education is physical exercise during the postpartum (63.08%). Analysis show that the most needed information is information about exclusive breastfeeding (81.54%) and the need for educational media other than MCH books (84.62%). Qualitative results indicate that online postpartum information media needed by respondents beside the MCH book currently used. Midwives should develop innovative educational media so that higher quality postpartum care can be provided.

Abstract

Duration of the birth process can be a factor in the emergence of complications in the mother and fetus if the fetus has not been born after 12 hours since the active phase of labor. The purpose of this systematic review is to determine the effect of the acupressure method on the duration of labor. The search for articles was carried out on the PubMed, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, and Wiley Library databases from January 2012 to January 2022 with the inclusion criteria of maternity mothers. The keywords used “Acupressure” AND “Duration of Labor”; “Acupressure” AND “Labor Duratin”. The results obtained 8 articles that match the inclusion criteria with 961 respondents. A total of 4 articles stated that acupressure could reduce the duration of the active phase of labor, 3 articles stated that acupressure could not reduce the duration of the active phase of labor, and 1 article stated that ear acupressure could reduce the duration of the active phase of labor, but body acupressure could not reduce the duration of the active phase of labor. The acupressure method can reduce the duration of the active phase of labor, so that it can be used as an alternative for women giving birth in the future. Further research can be carried out to develop research on the most effective type and duration of massage at one acupressure point to speed up the duration of labor.

Abstract

Local food diversification is needed to reduce dependence on imported food. Corn is a source of nutrients and bioactive compounds and red beans are a source of vegetable protein, complex carbohydrates, fiber, B vitamins, folasin, thiamine, calcium, phosphorus and iron. The aim of this study was to analyze the organoleptic quality and nutritional quality of biscuits with substitution of corn flour and red bean flour. This type of research is experimental with a completely randomized design (CRD). The organoleptic quality of color, taste, aroma and texture had a significant effect on biscuit products with corn flour and red bean flour substitutions. Treatment 2 was the most preferred by the panelists. The lower the proportion of corn flour, the lower the value of energy, carbohydrates and fat in the biscuits. The higher the proportion of red bean flour, the higher the protein value of the biscuits. Substitution of corn flour and red bean flour has a significant effect on the organoleptic quality and nutritional quality of biscuits. Further studies are needed to see the content of vitamin, minerals and the self life of biscuits with substitution of corn flour and red bean flour.

Abstract

Multiple nutritional issues are currently facing school-age children, namely undernutrition and overnutrition induced by poor awareness of healthy nutrition guidelines. The research objective was to assess the effectiveness of the use of comic book media on the healthy nutritional awareness of children relative to poster media. This research style is a quasi-experimental design with a control pre-post examination. The research site, conducted in October 2020, was located in 2 orphanages in Ambon Region. The subjects were orphanage children with an age span of 7-17 years, with a total of 60 individuals. In healthy nutrition therapy. Children's awareness was assessed by a questionnaire at the beginning of the research. On the second day of the study, care was provided in the form of healthy nutrition therapy, divided into two classes, namely the comic group and the poster group. The paired sample t-test and separate t-test samples were used for data analysis. The findings showed that the creation of healthy nutrition awareness in the intervention and control group study subjects caused a substantial difference in the comic and poster media (p<0.05). There is a significant effect of increasing knowledge of balanced nutrition in orphanage children before and after being given comics and poster media.

Abstract

Banana flower contains more nutrition. This research is an experimental type of banana blossom processed into shredded 6 samples with the addition of anchovies, using 30 untrained panelists for organoleptic tests. A nutritional content test was carried out to assess protein, fat, carbohydrates, ash content, water content, calcium, zinc, and iron. The results showed that there were differences in acceptability at S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, and S6. In the preference test, the most preferred color is S6, the most preferred taste is S5, the most preferred aroma and texture is S6. The highest water in S3, the highest ash in S2, the highest protein in S6, the highest fat in S5, highest carbohydrate in S1, the highest calcium in S6, the highest zinc in S1 and highest iron in S2. The more anchovies were given in formula, the panelists liked it more and the protein, fat, calcium, and iron content was higher. Conversely, the more banana flower, the higher carbohydrate and zinc content. The water and ash content in shredded beef is affected by the processing. Suggested further research to assess the content of minerals and other vitamins in banana flower shredded products with the addition of anchovies.

Abstract

The online learning process for nursing students during the Covid-19 pandemic provides a lot of room for educational actors to innovate. This online learning innovation is still considered good being implemented by educational actors even though the pandemic has been declared over. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the learning achievement of nursing students. This research was a descriptive analysis research with a cross sectional approach. Respondents in this study were 88 nursing students from the Maluku Health Polytechnic. The independent variables are the characteristics of the respondents which consist of gender, age, residential area, and last type of education. While the dependent variable is student learning outcomes. The results of this study show that gender, age, and the last type of education do not affect the results of online learning outcomes. Only residential area had an influence on online learning outcomes (p <0.05). The educational background in remote, border and island areas was usually known for various complex problems, one of which is the lack of facilities and infrastructure. The ability of nursing students to operate online learning media through devices is also inseparable from the learning outcomes.

Abstract

Elementary school-age children are a group that is vulnerable to nutritional problems. Snacks that do not meet health and nutritional requirements will threaten children's health. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between consumption of snacks and nutritional status of children at SD Negeri 156 Central Maluku. The research method used an analytic observational research design with a cross sectional approach. The research location was carried out at 156 Central Maluku Elementary School, Pelauw Village, Haruku Island District, Central Maluku Regency. The research was conducted in February-March 2022. The study population was students of 156 Central Maluku Elementary School grades IV, V, and VI, totaling 62 people. The sample was calculated using the Slovin formula so that 54 people were obtained. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Respondents who have frequent snack habits and normal nutritional status > 60%. The results of Chi-square analysis of the relationship between type of snacks, consumption of snacks, and frequency of snacks with children's nutritional status were obtained (p>0.05) which means that there was no relationship between types of snacks, consumption of snacks, and frequency of snacks with children's nutritional status.

Abstract

Blacksmithing is a job that requires a lot of energy. Unnatural working positions can increase worker stress and may affect the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. Complaints of muscle strain occur in the part of the skeletal muscle that the worker feels, because the muscle is constantly under static load for a long time. This study aimed to identify the factors that influence muscle tone in blacksmith workers. The nature of this study was to use a cross-sectional approach to analytical observations. The total number of workers is 39, which are taken on a pro-rata basis. Data is collected through observations, interviews, and measurements. Physical workload was measured based on a person's heart rate, while work posture was assessed using RULA. The assessment of musculoskeletal disorders is based on the NBM approach. The data were then analyzed using chi-square and Fisher's exact test. The results showed that 41 percent of workers in the high group experienced muscle strains and 59 percent in the low group. The factors that affect the muscle tension of blacksmith workers are age, gender, working hours and working posture. Recommendations for industry are: managing rest periods, designing comfortable workplaces, providing sanitation facilities and educating about safe workplace.

Abstract

Nurses have an essential task and important role in hospital services. The increase in hospital services will affect the performance of nurses. Nurses are required to do quality work and provide professional services to patients. Nurses have more medical actions than other medical workers. This condition gives nurses more significant work pressure and increases stress levels. This study aims to determine the relationship between work factors and work stress experienced by nurses. The type of research is a quantitative research using a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were nurses who worked in Pondok Kopi Islamic Hospital, East Jakarta. The total population in this research is 191, and the samples taken were 125 people. This study used a cross-sectional approach. The results showed that 53 nurses (42.4%) experienced work stress, and 72 (57.6%) did not experience work stress. The bivariate analysis results show a significant association between job demands, social support, interpersonal relationships, roles and organisational changes with job stress. There is also an insignificant association between control over work and job stress.
