Abstract

Abstract: There is a thought that the moral crisis that occurred inour students one of them is caused by the inappropriate curriculumconcepts given. Existing curricula tend to be oriented to thedevelopment of intellectual and less attention to the development ofthe moral aspects (affective domain). Another factor is the design ofthe curriculum tends to be partial. It means that the realm of scienceand moral aspects are separated according to subjects. Mathematics,Science, Chemistry, Economics, etc are the types of special subjectsdeliberately given to the students to equip science. While thedevelopment of moral and personality assumed by some teachers /educators as the duty of the subjects of Religion, character, citizenship, and other similar subjects. Likewise, philosophically, the curriculumexisted today are not integrated nor based on the concept of human(students). In anticipation of these problems above, a concept ofintegrated subjects is needed. It is the concept of subjects containingknowledge resulting from the study of philosophical formulations whichcontained a full and comprehensive knowledge. The formulation ofknowledge contained on these subjects includes not only theknowledge that examined ontologically, but also includes assessedknowledge epistemologically and axiologically. The concept ofintegrated lessons is also supportive to the efforts of developing theconcept of subjects based on students’ potential. This concept isexpected to equip children as a whole, that is educating the children who will not only have knowledge, but possessing good manners aswell.

Abstract

Abstract: The school has an urgent function and special mission tocreate moral beings, which are formed according to community needs.Although the family is the most appropriate and effective in generatingand managing the underlying feelings which are simple and be thefoundation of morality, however, the family is not an institution that isfounded with the goal of educating children to be able to meet thedemands of society. At this stage of schools- especially primaryschools - this is the moral education of children began to be given, although the material provided is still common. Conversely, when thestage of primary school age went by without laying the foundationsof morality, that foundations of morality will never be implanted in thechild. In its implementation, the moral education in schools will beeffective if there is any «model» and the consistency of the educators.Attitudes and behaviors of educators, especially honesty, as the mirrorof character is not possible to be camouflaged, because actually, it isa process of delivering the most effective moral values. Therefore, honesty is the base of truth and righteousness which is the essenceof moral values.

Therefore, the formation of character typology can beinfluenced by external and internal factors, both tangible educational, environmental, genetic and gene stimulation as well as ways ofthinking. In essence, every subject, including lessons in primaryschools never be separated from values, both aesthetic values, ethics, fairness doctrine, fairness, freedom and order, equality, harmony, solidarity, courage, love of peace, discipline, loyalty , empathy andothers. Since all the real subject matter is never value-free and thematerials are very influential on the character formation of students, then the extortion to the values contained in it are things that mustbe done for the later revealed and transmitted to students. The processof internalization of proficiency level, into the private learners, can bedone by means of analysis and clarification of values for habituationvalues contained in the elementary school subjects.
