Abstract

Data compression is needed so that the need for storage media and data transfer time becomes more efficient. This study compressed image data using the Run-Length Encoding (RLE) method. The test data is the original image (gray scale) and the image results of improving image quality (image enhancement) using contrast modification. Modification of contrast using contrast stretching methods. Through experiments wanting to know the extent to which the RLE method works less effectively for images with complex color intensity. The image of contrast modification results has a more complex color intensity or more varied pixel value. Obtained the number of pairs (p, q) RLE in the image of contrast modification results is less than the original image, with the pair ratio (p, q) RLE ranges from 0.64% to 1.59%. Although this image has a more varied pixel value than its original image, it can produce a compression ratio of the number of pairs (p, q) RLE.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 marked by using information and communication technology as a tool that can improve the quality of human activities. This phenomenon is also applied to efficiency of various sectors of human activities are education sector, e-commerce, health, industry, transportation and other sectors. The implementation of technology in the education through android-based learning media can create interactive and interest for students and in the industrial sector used as a marketing tool that can reach market than conventional methods. Augmented Reality (AR) is an interactive technology combines objects in the real world and virtual as visually and real time which generates information. The author implements AR in universities on computing school, especially computer hardware. Hardware characters have different structures, different functional tasks and costs. Through an AR technology called kenal hardware, hopefully the learning interaction process will be more interactive, efficient and cost-effective. The evaluation used to validate the system using a blackbox model by developers and users with four instruments includes functional requirements (91.84%), ease of use (63.27%), errors (24.49%) and interfaces (42.86%). The results of the evaluation indicate that kenal hardware can be used in learning activities to introduce computer hardware

Abstract

Government owned company of electricity play an important role in the distribution of electrical energy services. The Bagan Batu Auxiliary Service Unit (ULP) is one of the ULPs that plays an important role in the distribution of electrical energy in the Bagan Batu area. Along with the increase in the number of customers every year, the problem of demand for electrical energy changes and increases every year. To predict short-term electrical energy needs, this study uses the Backpropagation Artificial Neural Network method with the help of the MATLAB R2015B tool. The research data for training and network testing uses the history of energy sold (kWh) for the last 10 years with other variables consisting of household customers, business, social, industrial, population growth, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). The results of the research produce predictions of electrical energy for the next 3 years from 2022 to 2024. This research produces the best architectural model 6-6-1 with the smallest MSE error of 0.003312731 and produces Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value of 6%. The research implies benefits for stakeholders to take action on the provision of electrical energy

Abstract

Utilizing an edge detection algorithm in an image will produce the edges of the image object. The aim is to mark the part that becomes the image's detail and correct the point of blurring of vision that occurs due to errors or the effects of the image acquisition process. This study aims to see the ability of the combination of Sobel and Canny edge detection algorithms (SoCan) to detect the inverted image. The image dataset used is the image of the Laysan Albatross, which consists of 10 original images and ten images that have been inverted based on the standard image dataset. The Laysan albatross is a large species of seabird found in the North Pacific. 99.7% of the total population is found in the Northwest Hawaiian Islands. The research dataset was obtained from the Caltech Vision Lab website http://www.vision.caltech.edu/datasets/cub_200_2011/ with dimensions of 500 x 271 pixels. Based on the analysis of 10 experiments carried out, the combination of the Sobel and Canny algorithm (SoCan) is not good at performing edge detection because it only has an average accuracy of 47.79% with an average accuracy error rate of 52.21%. Thus, in this case, the combination of the Sobel and Canny algorithms (SoCan) is not able to identify the Inversion Image

Abstract

Applications built expressly for consumers to communicate online are known as social media apps. Social media applications are utilized for enjoyment as well as for interacting. For Android users, applications may be found in the Google Play Store, while for iOS users, they can be found in the Apple App Store. The site offers a collection that is a big resource-rich in thoughts, opinions, and feelings, notably on Google Playstore. Each user's review has an aspect value. Due to a large number of reviews, sentiment analysis is tough. The author proposes to do an Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis (ABSA) utilizing TikTok app reviews on the Google Play Store in this paper. Currently, there are 65.2 million active users of the Tik Tok program, including 8.5 million users from Indonesia, there are still a few studies that use the TikTok application dataset. In this study, sentiment classification is carried out on each aspect that has been determined, namely, aspects of features, business, and content, the method used is deep learning Recurrent Neural Network with the Long Short-Term Memory (RNN – LSTM) model and the addition of word embedding BERT. The results showed that the classification of sentiment in the business aspect showed the highest score, namely 0.94, the sentiment classification in the aspect received an accuracy of 0.91 while the feature aspect got the lowest accuracy, which was 0.85.

Abstract

The rapidly growing information causes information overload, so news portals publish information massively. Readers need time to search and read more news, but the time relevance of news wears off quickly. A recommendation system is needed that can recommend news according to the preferences of readers. This study recommends news using the TF-IDF method. TF-IDF gives weight to each word in the news title, and then looks for similarity between stories using cosine similarity. To prove the accuracy of whether the system recommendation results were actually clicked by the reader, the recommendation results were matched with the reader's news history on the online news portal Microsoft News using a hit-rate. The hit-rate result in this study was 80.77%.

Abstract

Public complaints are needed so that the performance of an agency can be known whether it is running well or vice versa. Improving the quality of public services can be done through the quick resolution of complaints from service providers. Naive Bayes Classifier is an approach that refers to Bayes theorem by combining previous knowledge with new knowledge. So it is called a classification algorithm that is simple but has high accuracy. For this reason, this study will prove the ability of Naive Bayes to classify public complaints against BPJS Employment which contain information on services or social conditions in Pekanbaru City. There are 3 types of complaint classification that can be submitted, namely disbursement problems, BPJS Employment service problems and problems with social security administration. The mobile-based system is implemented with the programming language used, namely Java, while PHP is for administrators. Administrators in this system are employees who work in the BPJS Employment office. This system is tested using whitebox testing for unit testing and integration testing, blackbox testing for validation testing and usability testing. The results of this study are the classification system for public complaints at BPJS Employment using the mobile-based Naive Bayes algorithm. The classification accuracy using the Naïve Bayes algorithm is 0.9, the average precision is 0.93, the recall is 0.91, and the F1-score is 0.9.

Abstract

Lintas Era Digital is a company engaged in the business of Technology Development as a School Vendor to work on various difficulties in schools within the scope of information technology such as Websites, Computer Based Test (CBT) Applications, Learning Management System (LMS) Applications and Electronic Cases, CCTV, Computers, laptops and procurement of tools for the prevention of Covid-19 that use electronic elements. The problem that is being faced by this company and from some current clients is the Covid-19 prevention tool that is still not in accordance with health protocols, there are still many shortcomings that are currently being faced, one of which is the Sterilization System using sterile booths automatically using a microcontroller. To overcome the problems above, it can be used a tool in the form of a microcontroller using several sensors such as a PIR Sensor (Passive Infrared Sensor) and using a Mist Maker tool (condensing device). The goal is to facilitate the performance of sterilization. In this study the author uses the C programming language.With a sterilization system using this microcontroller, it can help the community to find it easy to carry out health protocols. To be able to run this microcontroller, the author makes settings for the tool so that people can directly use the tool.

Abstract

Website is a computer service that is connected with hypertext facilities. A bad user interface that is made carelessly will affect the user experience (UX), so that the information to be conveyed cannot be received properly. The Design Thinking method is proven to be able to provide solutions in designing user interfaces based on the experience, emotions, and situation of the user (user experience). PD. BPR NTB Sumbawa has a website that can be said to have not maximized the function of the user interface and user experience in the manufacturing process. The results of the questionnaire with a Likert scale to 30 respondents resulted in 47% of users agreeing with the inaccurate website layout. Based on these problems, this research applies the Design Thinking method to analyze and develop user interfaces and user experiences. This research resulted in user empathy map, user persona, user interface design based on define, wireframe and prototype stages in responsive form made using Figma. The prototype results have gone through a direct testing process by the user and produced a better display design based on the Design Thinking Method stage. The prototype display design is expected to make it easier for users to use Thinking and increase interaction satisfaction between users and products.

Abstract

Sumbawa University of Technology (UTS) is one of the educational institutions that utilize website technology in educational institutions. The Sumbawa University of Technology website, it can make it easier for the public to get information. User experience analysis on the Sumbawa University of Technology website to be able to find out the usefulness of the product or UX display that is applied in serving users. The purpose of this research is that the Sumbawa University of Technology website can make it easier for the UTS campus community and the public to get the important and latest information from the Sumbawa Technological University, and the campus can also know how users respond to the content or appearance of the UTS website. From the results of the questionnaire that has been conducted by researchers, more respondents chose "Neutral" and "Agree", because the response was good, there was no change in the UX appearance
