Abstract

This study aims to find out 1) an evaluation of the TvC Tix ID Adverts for "Zombie Servants". 2) Brand Awareness on Tix Users ID 3) Effect of Tix ID TvC Ads on Brand Awareness. This study uses the theory of exposure to advertising, stimulus organism response, brand awareness and the AIDCA model. The type of research used is explanative. The research method used was survey. The research population from Tix ID Users at XXI Mall Blok M Plaza, South Jakarta with sampling techniques accidental sampling. The results of the study showed that the Evaluation of the TvC Tix ID Adverts for "Zombie Servants" refers to the three dimensions of Advertisements: Advertisements Frequency, Duration and Intensity. Brand Awareness TvC Tix ID Ads Version "Zombie Servants" in the eyes of Tix ID Users which refers to the three dimensions namely: Brand Recognition, Brand Recall, Top of Mind, then included in the category of Very Realizing. The magnitude of the influence of Tix ID TvC Ads on Brand Awareness, is known to include categories that have moderate influence.

Abstract

The main aim of this study is to investigate and critically examines the view of the political news representation on Jakarta gubernatorial election 2017. This study employed critical discourse analysis to investigate the power bias in news coverage of Jakarta election on TV One and Metro TV and seeks to examine the ideology behind the television media. A critical discourse analysis of the data revealed several findings. First, the television media coverage on the political news of Jakarta election in the form of text was ambiguous. While the political news has been positioned around the public sector that supposed to be politically neutral, nevertheless the media still produce subjective discourses. Second, the existence of certain interest groups has a significant effect on text production process in media. Third, the production of texts and the discourse practice in the media coverage of Jakarta's gubernatorial election are influenced by the particular regime interests, since the editorial room and the television studio are still considered as places of power. Fourth, the insensitivity of media objectivity is closely related to the sociocultural context that has developed in the society. The sociocultural profession of journalists in the Indonesian society still tends to be perceived as belonging to the power of incumbency. Thus, the political news representation remains heavily influenced by power.The power bias which is a problem in a democratic society, actually still growing and remaining in the television media, especially when representing the political news. The media’s potential to construct reality cannot be ignored. In other words, the change of democratic political system and media liberalization is not directly proportional to the expected changing in the attitude of the media in representing unbiased political news.

Abstract

Social media is used as a medium of interaction in many ways, including debating or called twitwar. Some twitwar, was intentionally written by the account owner with the aim of increasing popularity or called the social climber. This study wanted to find out how twitwar was created, what topics were created, and how twitwar actors responded to their twitwar replies. This study uses the concepts of New Media, Twitwar, and Reputation in social media. This research is qualitative research and uses constructivist paradigm. The results of this study indicate that the social climber creates provocative posts for the targeted groups that are considered easily provoked, in this case KPOP fans. While the response of the twitwar actors in responding to the replies given by followers is by writing more provocative sentences, so as to provoke anger from the intended groups, thus increasing their popularity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the communication climate on the performance of employees, to determine the effect of organizational cultural values on the performance of Moestopo University employees  and to determine the effect of the communication climate and organizational cultural values on the performance of Moestopo University employee. This research uses a quantitative approach and the results of the research are carried out by using multiple correlation tests, multiple linear regression tests and T tests. In testing the hypothesis, climax of Organizational Communication partially have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Organizational Culture  partially has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Based on the results of the simultaneous test obtained the Organizational Communication Climate and Organizational Culture simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The percentage contribution of the independent variable (Organizational Communication Climate and Organizational Culture) to the dependent variable (employee performance) has a power of 65.4% or the variation of the independent variables used in the model (Organizational Communication Climate and Organizational Culture) able to explain 65.4% of the dependent variable (employee performance ) While the determination coefficient value is 0.654 which is closer to number 1, it can be concluded that the level of the relationship is quite strong.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe the ideology and political activities of Buya Hamka. In this study, researchers used qualitative research methods and critical analysis. The theory used in this study is Teun A. Van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis. The paradigm of this research is critical. The qualitative research approach, the type and format of descriptive research, is the object of research in the novel ”HAMKA: A Novel Biography” written by Haidar Musyafa while the research subjects are Ideology and Political Activities which are discussed in the book. Data collection techniques carry out critical linguistic methods, in-depth interviews, and literature studies, data analysis techniques using source triangulation. The results of the study show that the novel ”HAMKA: A Novel Biography” written by Haidar Musyafa discusses Hamka’s ideology, pan-Islamism. But Hamka’s dialectical process towards his ideology, the interesting process of Hamka’s ideology, such as Hamka’s intersection with communism, even to the point where he had sung communist marches like the International with his friends in Java, was not described in the novel.

Abstract

From several reality show programs in Indonesian television, there was 86 program on NET TV. Almost 3 years this program broadcast, and describe some story about Indonesian Police activity. From AC Nielsen index, 86 has a rating value 1,2% and share 4,9%. This means that the program still has many viewers (audience). This paper will argue that delivering such news in such a way by mass media especially television has the ability to shift attitude of the large audience simultaneously. The element of program success theory from Morissan will be used together with a quantitative approach, and survey through stratified sampling among the residents of Cipulir. It was found that the Impact 86 NET TV toward audience attitude is has 45,7% possitive effect.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the advertisement of A Mild version of " Mula Mula Malu Malu Lama Lama Mau " to build or construct the reality of adolescent lifestyles after being studied with semiotics belonging to Ferdinand de Saussure. The theory used by the author in conducting this research is the Semiotics theory of Ferdinand de Saussure with the Constructivism research Paradigm using a Qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the meaning is created through the existence of arbitrary relationships between markers (signifier) as a description of the word with a sign (signified) which is a description of the concept of the audience's mind so that the negative meaning is created. Writing language is identified as a marker (signifier) because the writing language in this advertisement also contains emotional persuasive meaning that contains elements of sexuality. Visual design elements are identified by the author as signified because through this unit the concept picture is obtained by the audience so that the emergence of such meaning is implied through the gesture of the visual elements of the ad, namely male and female figures

Abstract

 Political communication through advertising on the media focuses on hard selling Just as with commercial advertising, the purpose of political advertising is to persuade and motivate voters to choose a particular candidate.This study analyzes the political ads of the Ahok-DJarot couples in the Jakarta Pilgub 2017. The purpose of this research is to know semiotic analysis from political advertisement to 2 candidate and imaging on this advertisement. .The process of processing the data of this research method is done by Using semiotic analysis techniques (semiotic analysis) is to reveal the meaning in the political ads to the 3 candidates. Using the semiotic analysis approach model used is Roland Bartes's semiotics theory. Namely Connotation and Deontation. The result of this research is the meaning of every political advertisement of the candidate of cawagub candidate of DKI Jakarta 2017. Ahok-Djarot in his political advertisement means that the lifting of the people of Jakarta in the event of riots in 1998, which was raised by Muslim, a group of Groups that create riots, and divide the unity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Communication as an interaction process that can be of effective value requires collaboration to support changes in a place. communication is very important and used by humans in the exchange of experiences and ideas, and that is what triggers the delivery of knowledge and perceptions of various types. Therefore, communication is a core element in changing strategies to drive change. In the new era of the world of communication, a development communication paradigm emerged that involved participatory communication processes to decision making. Communication is needed to support development that involves the community to understand each other's agreed understandings for the progress of a place. involvement and role of the community is needed in the implementation or implementation of development programs. The involvement of active participatory communication from citizens and the community is a support to build a place that can be widely known by others outside their environment and have an impact on growth benefits in various fields, such as economic, social and cultural in the local area.

Abstract

The aim of the researchers was to find out how the patterns of personal communication between coaches and players in the futsal training program at the FC Tuter futsal community and the supporting factors and inhibiting factors of existing communication activities. This research was developed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The research paradigm is a case study on the TUTER FC futsal community and the method used is positivism. The results of the analysis showed that the implementation of two-way communication patterns was considered to be the most effective in conducting training activities. It could be said to be effective because the coach delivered the material and was well received by the players. As well as providing feed back given by players to the coach shows the effectiveness of communication.
