Abstract

This was done as a form of continuous improvement in carrying out the best service. Sofyan Hotel also has a strong desire to refresh the brand image that has been done since the hotel stood. From this background, this study found a problem regarding the concept of rebranding conducted by Sofyan Hotel Cut Meutia in improving the image. This study uses a qualitative approach with the post-positivism paradigm. The method in this study is based on a case study. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, researchers? views, and other secondary data sources in the library. The purpose of this study was to determine the concept of rebranding logos applied by Sofyan Hotel Cut Meutia in improving the image. The results of his research, researchers used the rebranding stage. The researcher concluded that the logo rebranding process had raised the image in the community. This can be seen from the activities and socialization of Sofyan Hotel Cut Meutia, which every month diligently holds promos and participates in collaboration with brands that share the same vision.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interpersonal communication patterns used by trainers in improving the skills of beginner basketball players in the community of 3 World Handles and to introduce techniques and terms in playing basketball through verbal and nonverbal communication to novice basketball players. In this study the theory used is Interpersonal Communication Theory and Competency Theory according to Spencer & Spencer in 2007. This research uses data collection techniques using interviews and literature. The methodology of this research is a qualitative descriptive approach about a social phenomenon and case study. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that in the pattern of interpersonal communication of the trainers in the basketball community 3 World Handles were good and effective towards the players, especially beginner players and also in providing motivation to the players and teams.

Abstract

Web series is a concept of a series of programs released in the medium of the Internet, usually Youtube become the main platform for the producers of the web series. Then in the process of digital promotion, Traveloka optimize the form of web content series with the theme "Expedisi menebus janji" to introduce this products. such as presenting the ease of use traveloka application as an application that must be owned by every audience where the trip can provide ease of purchasing airline tickets, trains, and hotel booking tickets and payments such as internet and some destruction of domestic and foreign tours. Web series has ease in terms of production and budget. In contrast to advertise on television that must invest considerable cost for results that still exist in the awareness phase. Due to television advertising campaigns, advertisers can only assess the impact of an advertising campaign through a survey or Focus Group Discussion. While through digital media, advertisers can more easily measure, evaluate, and evaluate the performance of promotions directly from the audience by viewing viewers, like, and share them.

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of stop body shaming message content on followers attitude againts body shaming. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the effect of the contents of the stop body shaming message on followers attitude againts body shaming. The model used in this study is a persuasive instrumental of model. The method used is quantitative. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires. The population in this study is the Instagram account followers @kemenpppa, for samples using the Yamane formula which is then obtained by 100 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the results of the correlation test variable X (the contents of the body shaming message) to the variable Y (body shaming attitude) amounted to 0.752. Based on the calculation of the coefficient of determination results obtained the influence of variable X on variable Y by 56.5%. T test results obtained t count> t table that is t count 11.295> 1.661, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion from the study is that there is a strong influence between the contents of the stop body shaming message on Instagram @kemenpppa on followers attitude againts body shaming.

Abstract

This research discusses the contribution of the ?Hallyu? (Korean Wave) on the increasing number of Korean drama consumption among high school students in order the daily and academic life. The aim of the research is to describe the preference of high school students watching the Korean drama. Data were collected through in-depth interview on three informants. The informants are high school students who had been selected and determined using a purposive sampling technique based on the criteria of inclusion in this study.  In the process of this assessment, it was discovered that the Hallyu phenomenon in Indonesia contributes to increasing interest in watching Korean dramas. The three informants interviewed had an interest, a habit of watching and a different mood change experience when consuming Korean dramas. In addition, the three informers also give a statement that they agree that consuming Korean drama in everyday life does not affect their academic performance. Therefore, it can be concluded that Hallyu has contributed to the increasing consumption of Korean dramas by high school students but it does not cause changes to their daily routine, including their academic performance.

Abstract

The number of internet users on various digital platforms in Indonesia is continuing increase. This is supported by the presence of smartphones and an easy to getting internet access. This condition also encourages the presence of various digital platforms in the form of applications. And without a registration fee increasing the users of the platform. But without realizing it, actually the users of various digital platforms become unpaid laborers. They also provide capital injections for the media kapitalism in the form of valuable data stores. The review in this paper uses a political economy perspective, aims to give some understanding the main issues related to new media audiences through describing a holistic picture about the dynamics of capitalism exploitation in social media platforms. The data needed in the analysis of this research was obtained through documentation studies. Furthermore, the analysis was carried out within a descriptive analysis framework, so the qualitative approach becomes the choice of method in this study. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that media capitalism has transformed. They are accommodating the users of various new digital media platforms, such as social media, online news sites, etc by stimulating them to always actively use it. The capitalists with their various transformations also take public data to be exchanged into profitable commodities.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out more about how an event Car Clinic Meguiar?s Indonesia is organized so that it is able to build a brand on Meguiar?s Indonesia as a vehicle paint company. In this study using a descriptive qualitative approach to the paradigm of cosntructivism and using the case study method. The concept in this research is brand, brand building and brand audits. From the results of the study stated that Meguiar?s Indonesia managed to become the top of mind audience because the brand is easy to remember. The success of being the top mind was also supported because the implementation of an event that could have an impact on the target audience. Events are indeed made with the aim of engaging the target audience in programs organized by the company and this is what drives an event to be a memorable and more motivating experience because the target audience participates and becomes a part of the event.

Abstract

The background of this study is that the learning model is not yet fully able to present an inclusive islamic paradigm, and a multicultural perspective for students, these are the limited space for differences of opinion between teachers and students, between each other of the student, so that the learning process is indoctrinative and educational focus is only on the achievement of the ability of ritual and tauhid beliefs with Islamic education teaching material that singular,that is right wrong and good bad. Data collection methods using interviews, observation, documentation studies and triangulation.The results showed inclusive islamic-multicultural islamic-based learning design including syllabus and lesson plans which included: material that contained normative texts and contained concrete cases in the society, the implementation based of the inclusive islamic-multicultural learning model educators are not stuck on one method, educators in attitude and speech are democratic and non-discriminatory, educators have a high level of concern for certain events, educators provide an understanding of the importance of deliberation in solving various problems, and this indicates that the learning process of Islamic Educational using inclusive islamic-multicultural based learning methods is using a multi-directional communication pattern. Beside, students become realize that they live in real situations that full of differences and make the educational paradigm that is not only to think, to do, and to be, but also to become an education paradigm to live together.

Abstract

In the era of digital disruption, internet is a major differentiating factor in the social arena of society. The internet presents various forms of new media platforms which known as digital media or social media. Social media has become a media information and at the same time as a new employment for the community, especially for the digital natives. This generation knows the internet and social media since they were little kids and over time, they are able to change social media from just channeling a hobby to become a profitable media. This cleverness in reading business opportunities is also due to the strong foundations of media literacy that were acquired since they were young. This happened to the six students in Malang who were informants in this study. Researchers used a qualitative approach with an interpretive paradigm to be able to explore how the background of these six students in achieving profits through the social media.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to  investigate how migration (marantau) culture is constructed in oral literature of Minangkabau, the world?s largest matrilineal society. A well known Malin Kundang oral literature is used as a source of analysis.  By using literature sociological approach, and descriptive-criticism method, analysis of the texts, produced by Minangkabau matrifocal society,  shows the weak relationship between  a mother and her son. Moreover, it is used as educative media for Minangkabau people, who have implemented migration concepts as a part of the implementations of  their matrilineal Adat (customary laws).The text also contains advices for Minangkabau migrants to never forget the Adat and native land despite the fact that their have migrated and adapted to rantau culture. The punishment for  Malin Kundang, the main character of this oral literature, which has been cursed into stone by his own mother, can be taken as a representation of motherland?s punishment for the migrants who have faced cultural shock, and forgotten the main purpose of their migration mission. It is expected by the Adat that Minangkabau men do marantau activities just for temporarily in order  to gain prosperity and wisdom before going back to participate in developing their the homeland.
