Abstract

Change during pandemic has an impact on economic activities where the community has to turn to the online buying and selling system. Various marketing methods are carried out by several e-commerce companies, one of them by giving various promos. This study aimed to know the effect of the limited time scarcity (LTS) factor and the limit quantity scarcity (LQS) factor on online impulsive purchases. This study used factorial experimental 2x2. We obtained quantitative data from scales that we used and qualitative data from an open questionnaire. The Limited Scarcity Manipulation measuring instrument was used with a total of 47 female respondents, ages 18-34 years who were domiciled in Surabaya or Bali. Based on the open questionnaire, most of the participants have knowledge about Somethinc. product. The results of this study indicate that limited time scarcity (LTS) and limited quantity scarcity (LQS) have not significantly predicted impulsive purchasing. Impulsive purchasing was mostly done by the LTS only group and the LQS only group.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Big Five personality dimensions on students' self-directed learning readiness during the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 218 students who are running online learning are the subjects of this research. Data were collected using the Self-Directed Learning Readiness scale and the Big Five scale. Based on the results of the regression analysis, it is known that the five personality dimensions in the Big Five have a significant role in students' self-directed learning readiness during the COVID-19 pandemic. The five dimensions of the Big Five together contributed 58.7% to students' self-directed learning readiness during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, it was also found that partially conscientiousness personality is the variable that can most influence students' self-directed learning readiness, followed by openness to experience and agreeableness personality in the next order in influencing students' self-directed learning readiness during the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the other two Big Five personality dimensions, neuroticism and extraversion, did not significantly affect students' self-directed learning readiness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of web-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention in improving personal growth initiative (PGI) in undergraduate students who experience depression, anxiety, or stress. Levels of depression, anxiety, and stress were measured using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-42), while PGI was measured using the Personal Growth Initiative Scale II (PGIS-II). One-group pretest-posttest design with additional follow-up measurement were used in this study. Assessments were conducted before, after and two weeks after the intervention was implemented. The web-based ACT intervention was carried out for one month using Universitas Indonesia's Student Centered e-Learning Environment (SCeLE) system and consisted of eight sessions. Data processing using Friedman Test and Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed that PGI significantly increased (p < 0.017) following the web-based ACT intervention. This study also showed that the level of depression, anxiety, and stress of undergraduate students significantly reduced (p < 0.017) following the web-based ACT intervention.

Abstract

Over the course of COVID-19 pandemic, teachers were given lots of new tasks to adapt and prepare long distance learning programs for their students. Those conditions pose risks to the teacher's physical and mental state. This paper showed that some teachers at X Vocational School in Surabaya experience teacher burnout. Burnout is a very common occurrence in individuals who work in the service industry, including teachers. 14 Vocational School teachers who showed medium to high levels of teacher burnout were treated with psychological capital training to reduce the burnout level. Teachers were trained to develop and apply four aspects of psychological capital; hope, efficacy, resilience, and optimism (HERO) in six training sessions. This research showed negative correlation between psychological capital with teacher burnout (r=-0.958**), there was a significant difference between teacher burnout before and after treatment (p=0.001), but there was no significant difference between psychological capital before and after treatment (p=0.417). This research concluded that even though some teachers have good psychological capital levels, they still need to be trained to develop and apply it to prevent teacher burnout.

The high interest of the Indonesian people to become soccer athletes presents the opportunity to become athletes by joining soccer clubs to training centers to become professional players, one of which is at PPOP DKI. This study aims to examine the relationship between endurance sport self-efficacy and peak performance in soccer athletes of PPOP DKI Jakarta. The participants in this study are 43 PPOP athletes in DKI Jakarta using the total population sampling technique. The measuring instruments used in this study are the Peak Performance Instrument from Maheswari (2018) and the Endurance Sport Self-Efficacy Scale (ESSES) from Anstiss et al. (2018). The results of data analysis using pearson product moment showed that there was a significant relationship between peak performance and endurance sport self-efficacy in soccer athletes of PPOP DKI Jakarta.
