The social problems that occur in society are certainly so complex if they have to be addressed one by one. A fact and reality that exist in everyday life are things that are an integral part of that situation. In digesting and seeking solutions to these social problems, as a Muslim everyone is required to be a solution in solving problems that exist and occur in social life itself. This study aims to describe in general the social problems that occur in people's lives by using the dakwah approach to solve them and to examine the problems using the library research method. The expected result of this research is to provide a general understanding to the public and readers in particular in order to interpret the importance of appreciating and accepting other people's opinions so that later the inclusiveness of society through da'wah can be a concept for solving these social problems.

Abstract

Indonesia is experiencing an emergency communication between religious communities. The issue of division is easier to emerge and be consumed quickly by the community than the issue of togetherness. Interestingly, it is always the best practice of harmony between religious communities in rural areas which raises optimism that diversity in Indonesia continues. This study explains communication between religious communities in the success of the implementation of a religious tourism village in Rama Agung. A qualitative case study approach was carried out. Data were collected through interview techniques, observation, and search for relevant literature. Specifically for the interview data, we processed it through the transcript mechanism, keyword search, keyword categorization, and wording. Our findings include three important focuses: indicators of diversity, communication patterns in religious tourism villages, and forums for communication. We found three salient social capitals: the legacy of value systems brought by immigrant communities and the results of value processing in the environment, written rules or agreements between communities, and the leadership of religious leaders who were able to balance internal and external desires. Informal and formal communication forums have been used by the community to communicate their ideas. Then we present a communication pattern from the idea discussed, the development, to the execution stage. In the end, this study suggests a narrative approach to describe more clearly the way of communication in the village of religious tourism organized by religious diversity

Abstract

The term world class university is becoming a trending topic in the tertiary education environment in Indonesia. Not wanting to be left behind in these carriages, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University in Yogyakarta has declared itself to be a world class university in Islamic studies. The ideal position continues to be socialized to the entire academic communities. One of the study programs that take the vision seriously is the Da'wah Management Study Program under the auspices of the Da'wah and Communication Faculty. This study program continues to boost efforts to internationalize institutions through a variety of academic and collaborative activities. But the question is whether the external strengthening has been balanced with internal reinforcement, in this case the service management and the campus bureaucratics reform. Based on this, further questions arise about how students' positions as service users, are treated as customers or citizens. This research uses a qualitative method and a descriptive approach. The results of comparative analysis based on New Public Management and New Public Service theories show that in service management and bureaucratic reform in the Da'wah Management Study Program, students are treated more as citizens, not as customers. This can be seen from several points of findings such as: (1) services are not based on individual interests, but overall students are based on the principle of equality, (2) service delivery is conducted in a fair manner in this case not interpreted as equal to absolute, but in accordance with conditions and needs or prioritizing inclusiveness, (3) service is not market-oriented where study programs open as wide a negotiation space as possible for each student interest, provide access and response to various student complaints, and (4) pay attention to multiple aspects of service such as accountability in law, community values, political norms, professional standards, and fulfilling the interests of students as citizens.

Abstract

The main problem in this research is the analysis based on local content analysis on the video of the lectures traditional of adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi kitabullah by Ustadz Zulhamdi Lc, MA. Researchers want to know how a discourse is built in a culture-based da'wah conducted by religious scholars in Minangkabau. This type of research is qualitative descriptive, using documentation studies as a data collection technique. Then use the method of discourse analysis Teun van Dijk. The findings of the study show that the customary lecture of adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi kitabullah by Ustadz Zulhamdi Lc, MA is seen from the aspect of social analysis, text and social cognition, namely building a religious discourse, amar ma'ruf nahi mungkar. Departing from the concerns of the scholars in an effort to maintain the Islamic tradition and strengthen the character of the Minangkabau people known as the state of the scholars, amid the issues of moral and mental damage to Minangkabau youth today. Local content-based da'wah through a long-believed philosophy of life, becomes a solution to return to the order of life in accordance with the expectations of the ancients who lived in a strong religious tradition fortifying themselves and generations of mental and moral decline. Da'wah is a flexible and universal activity, so with local content-based da'wah can be a solution to the problems that occur in the community under its auspices.

Abstract

In the new normal period where all elements of the nation are struggling with the socio-economic condition's recovery due to Covid-19, the society must be surprised by the incident that occurred at State Vocational School of 2 Padang. In this case, a non-Muslim student felt forced by the school to wear the hijab which an Islamic attribute. As a result, there is the ambivalence of da’wah and intolerance in public institutions that are supposed to serve society fairly. The government through the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Religion Affairs immediately responded by issuing a Joint Decree (SKB) of Three Ministers about educational uniforms and attributes. To analyze the ambivalence and pros cons of this phenomenon, this study uses a descriptive qualitative type. The results showed that chronologically, the time span between the case appearance and the SKB issuance was very fast, which was less than two weeks. The SKB reaps the pros and cons where on the one hand some parties think that this is an effort to secularize education, while on the other hand, some parties think that this SKB is very appropriate because Indonesia is already in an emergency situation of intolerance. However, regardless of the pros and cons, the issuance of the SKB was effective in guaranteeing the religious freedom of all education personnel and preventing ambivalence from da’wah which was distorted into intolerance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the religion of the transmigrant community in Bengkulu, precisely in the Abu Syakim Village, Pondok Kelapa District, North Bengkulu. Known Bengkulu is one of the areas where transmigrants from Java and Bali are located. The migrants then interacted with the new environment which produced unique variants. This research method is qualitative with a case study approach. The research data, which mostly used the subject's words, both spoken and written, were obtained from two kinds of sources, namely the author and several other informants. Data collection activities were carried out using in-depth interviews, passive role observation and documentation methods. Using Weber's concept of 'the disenchanment of the world', which will help analyze findings in the field. The results of the study were: first, there was a 'plagiarism' of Javanese culture and religious traditions, which were brought to the transmigration area of Bengkulu. Moreover, its economic activities are still land-based, although the pattern is somewhat different, namely from lowland rice to plantations. Second, the tarekat activities will grow and develop. There are at least two orders in the village of Abu Syakim, namely the Qodariyah Naqsabandiyah order and the Shiddiqiyah tarekat. Both orders are also led by immigrants.
