Abstract

The coastal region of Indramayu Regency faces complex socio-ecological pressures resulting from the interaction between population growth, environmental degradation, and limited human capacity. This study aims to analyze the interrelationship between population dynamics, environmental conditions, and the role of Population and Environmental Education (PKLH) in strengthening the socio-ecological resilience of coastal communities. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study design based on secondary data, including the Indramayu Regency Regional Statistics 2024 publication, previous research articles, policy documents, and theoretical literature. Thematic analysis was carried out using the writing-as-inquiry principle and theoretical triangulation to ensure interpretive depth. Findings reveal that high population growth, educational disparities, and economic dependence on the agriculture–fisheries sector have intensified pressure on coastal ecosystems, particularly through abrasion, seawater intrusion, and fishpond land conversion. On the other hand, various local initiatives based on environmental education and social wisdom—such as mangrove restoration in Karangsong and educational tourism management in Juntinyuat—indicate a shift in community ecological behavior from dependence to awareness. Through the Population–Environment–PKLH Nexus framework, this research confirms that population and environmental education act as mediators transforming knowledge into awareness and collective ecological action. The study recommends repositioning coastal development policy from a physical approach to a participatory socio-ecological approach. The resilience of Indramayu’s coastal communities depends not only on infrastructure but also on the degree to which PKLH values are internalized in their social life.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of satirical language markers in the form of irony, cynicism, and sarcasm in Gus Mus’s poetry collection. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method based on Gorys Keraf’s stylistic theory. The data consist of poetry excerpts analyzed to reveal the function of satire in exposing the hypocrisy of power, social alienation, and moral degradation in society. The findings show that irony is used to uncover identity crises and structural injustice, cynicism to criticize the decline of values and socio-religious hypocrisy, and sarcasm to mock double standards and political manipulation. These findings affirm that satirical language in Gus Mus’s poetry functions as a strategy of social criticism and a means of fostering critical awareness among the people.

Abstract

The UT Radio website is one of Universitas Terbuka’s digital innovations that serves as a medium for disseminating academic information, distance learning, and educational entertainment for the academic community. However, its usability level has not yet been empirically evaluated. This study aims to analyze user satisfaction and usability quality of the UT Radio website using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, involving 60 respondents consisting of students, lecturers, and administrative staff of Universitas Terbuka. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and the SUS questionnaire, which includes ten statements measured on a five-point Likert scale. The analysis was conducted based on SUS scores interpreted with adjective ratings, grade scale, and acceptability range. The findings show that the average usability score of the UT Radio website is 74, which falls into the “Good” category, with a C grade and an “Acceptable” level of acceptance. This indicates that the system has met aspects of ease of use, efficiency, and user satisfaction. Nevertheless, improvements are still required in several aspects, such as interface consistency, access speed, and feature interactivity. This research provides practical contributions for e-learning system developers and higher education digital media managers in improving user experience quality for web-based services.

Abstract

Credit cards offer significant convenience in making payments. However, many customers in Indonesia are currently delinquent on their credit card payments. Bank Indonesia regulations permit the use of debt collection services, but they must be legally accountable if a debt collector commits an unlawful act. This research addresses two main issues: the legal relationship between banks and debt collectors in resolving bad credit card debts and the bank's liability for the debt collector's unlawful actions in resolving bad credit cards. This study employed normative research as its research methodology. This seeks to determine the truth about the bank's obligation to consumers for the illegal acts of debt collectors in settling faulty credit cards, based on the normative side of legal logic. In order to resolve bad credit cards, banks and debt collectors have a legal connection based on a power of attorney agreement. Additionally, the bank is liable for the illegal activities carried out by the debt collector in order to resolve faulty credit cards. This is because the bank and the debt collector have a legal relationship.
