Abstract

Waste management at the regional level remains a multidimensional challenge encompassing fiscal, institutional, and social dimensions. This study analyzes the waste service fee system in Indramayu Regency to identify its main barriers and propose practical reform measures. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach supported by regulatory and institutional analysis, the research draws on secondary data from laws, budget documents, the 2024 tariff update report, and a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with relevant stakeholders. The findings indicate that the current system achieves only 14–20% cost recovery, with tariffs far below actual service costs. Institutional weaknesses are evident in fragmented roles between the Environmental Agency (DLH), the Waste Management UPTD, and the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), resulting in poor data integration and ineffective collection. Public compliance also remains low due to negative perceptions of service quality, perceived unfairness in tariff structures, and limited transparency in fund management. Strengthening the system requires phased reforms, including tariff recalibration, database integration, service quality improvements, and stronger public communication. With these measures, Indramayu’s fee system can evolve into a sustainable and accountable foundation for regional waste governance.

Abstract

Employee job satisfaction in public water utilities significantly impacts service delivery quality and organizational performance, yet limited research examines the simultaneous influence of physical work conditions and facility adequacy on satisfaction levels within Indonesian regional water companies. Objective: This study investigates the individual and combined effects of work environment and work facilities on employee job satisfaction at PDAM Tirta Darma Ayu Indramayu Head Office. Methods: A quantitative descriptive-associative approach was employed using simple random sampling of 59 employees from a population of 146 staff members. Data were collected through validated questionnaires and analyzed using correlation analysis, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing via SPSS 26. Results: Work environment demonstrated a very strong positive correlation with job satisfaction (r = 0.837, t-count = 11.527 > t-table = 1.672, p < 0.05). Work facilities showed a strong positive correlation with job satisfaction (r = 0.705, t-count = 7.498 > t-table = 1.672, p < 0.05). The combined variables exhibited a very strong correlation (R = 0.840, F-count = 67.308 > F-table = 3.16, p < 0.05) with 70.6% variance explanation (R² = 0.706). Conclusions: Both work environment and work facilities individually and simultaneously exert significant positive influences on employee job satisfaction, providing empirical evidence for prioritizing workplace condition improvements in public utility management strategies.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship in the field of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)-based healthcare services presents both opportunities and challenges related to legal compliance, patient data protection, and professional ethics. This study aims to analyze the relevant legal aspects of EMR implementation and their implications for business model development and healthcare service innovation. The method used is a systematic literature study with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Literature was obtained from academic databases and public repositories using the keywords "Electronic Medical Records", "health entrepreneurship", "health law", "privacy by design", and "telemedicine regulation" for the period 2020–2025. The analysis was conducted through thematic/content analysis with a focus on four main themes: the regulatory framework and legality of EMR, the implications of EMR for entrepreneurship and technology governance, legal risks and protection of healthcare workers, and  implementation barriers related to infrastructure, human resources, and interoperability. The study results indicate that the implementation of EMR plays a crucial role as a legal instrument, a means of digitizing services, and a basis for developing a regulatory-compliant entrepreneurial model. Implementation challenges include limited infrastructure, disparities in healthcare workforce competency, and varying levels of preparedness in healthcare facilities. Integrating legal principles, such as privacy by design and role-based access control, is key to minimizing legal risks while strengthening patient and stakeholder trust. In conclusion, strengthening the legal aspects of RME-based healthcare entrepreneurship is a prerequisite for ensuring a balance between innovation, legal protection, and business sustainability, while simultaneously improving the quality of healthcare services nationally.

Abstract

According to The South Sulawesi Provincial Health Office reported that the stunting rate decreased from 27.3% in 2023 to 23.3% in 2024. The target for reducing stunting in South Sulawesi Province is 6.1% in 2045. The government's target is to reduce the national stunting rate to 18.8% in 2025, 14.2% in 2029, and 5% in 2045, which means it has not yet reached the target.StuntingStunting is a condition of stunting in toddlers due to chronic malnutrition, resulting in the child being too short for their age. The period from 0-24 months of age is a crucial period for a child's quality of life, and is therefore often referred to as the golden period. Prospective brides and grooms are also prospective parents, so providing education on stunting prevention through animated videos is crucial. This type of research is...Cross Sectional .Study Cross Sectional with designpost test design with a population of 105 people and a sample of 51 people. The results of the study showed that the mean value before and after treatment decreased, wherepre testis 2.25 while the valuepost testis 1.27 reinforced with the Sig. value. (2-tailed) of 0.000, which indicates that there is an influence of providing animated videos about preventing stunting on the knowledge of prospective brides and grooms about preventing stunting.

Abstract

Regenerator 15-R-103/104 in the Residue Catalytic Unit (RCU) at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU VI Balongan plays an important role in the Residue Catalytic Cracking (RCC) process by burning coke on the surface of the spent catalyst to restore catalyst activity and provide heat for the endothermic reaction. This study analyzes the effect of coke yield on regenerator performance using mass balance, heat balance, and thermal efficiency calculations based on Universal Petroleum Products (UOP) standards, with daily operational data for the period 1–28 January 2025. The results show that the total mass input of coke and combustion air is balanced with the flue gas output, indicating an efficient combustion process. The heat balance reveals a balanced energy distribution between heat carried by the flue gas, absorbed by the catalyst cooler, and lost due to radiation. The regenerator efficiency for each week was obtained at 57.98%, 58.07%, 56.13%, and 58.93%, with an average of 58%. The increase in coke yield was generally followed by an increase in the corrected heat of combustion, indicating a positive relationship between the amount of coke formed and the heat energy produced. These findings provide an important basis for optimizing regenerator performance in RCC systems.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the persistently low level of students’ mathematical problem-solving ability in the topic of sequences and series, despite its importance in the senior high school mathematics curriculum. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe factors that inhibit students’ problem-solving ability in sequences and series at SMA Negeri 2 Indramayu from the perspectives of mathematics teachers. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving several mathematics teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Indramayu. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews focusing on instructional methods, internal and external inhibiting factors, strategies implemented by teachers, and an overview of students’ problem-solving abilities. The findings indicate that teachers use a variety of instructional methods, including direct instruction, deep learning approaches, STAD-type cooperative learning, visual approaches, and GeoGebra; however, their implementation is constrained by time limitations and classroom conditions. Internal inhibiting factors include low learning motivation, students’ reluctance to engage, weak mastery of basic concepts, and difficulties in understanding word problems. External factors include limited learning facilities, less conducive classroom environments, and restricted instructional time. Teachers attempt to overcome these obstacles through interactive media, e-modules, educational games, personal approaches, scaffolding, and visualization, although these strategies have not yet been implemented optimally. These findings emphasize the need for more systematic, problem-solving-oriented lesson planning in teaching sequences and series.
