Abstract

Masa anak-anak adalah masa untuk belajar, bermain dan meniru aktivitas yang ada dalam lingkungannya. Anak-anak seharusnya memiliki keterampilan sosial yang berkembang baik dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Keterampilan sosial dalam hal akademik adalah salah satu keterampilan sosial yang penting bagi anak-anak. Anak-anak yang memiliki keterampilan sosial dalam hal akademik yang rendah akan mempengaruhi prestasi akademik disekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terapi bermain sosial mampu meningkatkan keterampilan sosial dalam hal akademik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah experimental design single case. Subyek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 2 orang dengan keterampilan sosial dalam hal akademik yang rendah. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Analisa data menggunakan analisa grafik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terapi bermain sosial mampu meningkatkan keterampilan sosial dalam hal akademik pada anak. Kata kunci: Terapi bermain sosial, keterampilan sosial. Childhood is a time to learn , play and copying the activity present in the environment. Children should have a well-developed social skills in everyday activities . Social skills in terms of academic success is one of the important social skills for children . Children who have social skills in terms of academic success are low will affect academic achievement in school . The purpose of this study was to determine whether social play therapy can improve social skills in terms of academic success . This type of research is a single case experimental design . The subjects in this study amounted to 2 people with social skills in terms of low academic . Methods of data collection using observation and interviews . Analyze data using descriptive graphic analysis . The results showed that social play therapy can improve social skills in terms of academic success in children. Abstract

Preschool children will pass transitions period from Kindergarten into elementary school which has new requirements. Transition period can work efficiently if children have had the preparation of ?ready for school?. The factors which influence the school readiness is the involvement of parents. Parental involvement is needed because it will create continuity between children's education at home and at school. This research aimed to determine the effect of parental involvement on school readiness in preschool children. This research method used quantitative methods with a sampling technique of random sampling. The subjects of the research were parents who had preschool children of 100 respondents. The instrument used the PIQ and SRQ (Indonesian standard). Data analysis used simple linear regression test. The results showed F value = 33.211, p < 0.01 that there was positive effect on parents? involvement toward significant school readiness with home-based involvement having strong relations from other dimensional.

Abstract

The Keyword Method (KWM) is a mnemonic method designed to assist learners in learning foreign vocabulary. The method encompasses two processes, namely, the similarity of the words in sound(s) or the similarity of the keyword spoken with foreign language words and created mental images. This case study of the intervention involved a 26 years old student who had newly commenced as a first-year Indonesian studies student at Flinders University, Adelaide. She is a locally born Australian student who speaks English as her native language. To interpret the result findings, the checklist method (consisting of correct, doubt, and no responses), descriptive analysis, and interviews, as well as observations, have been applied in the KWM implementation. The results proved that the KWM has successfully assisted the learner in improving her Bahasa Indonesia, both in acquisition and retention, in a more effective manner compared to her other study strategies. This was especially apparent after conducting the immediate and delayed comprehensive test. The subject was also able to generate self-regulated learning. This indicated that the subject is able to metacognitively, motivationally and behaviorally utilize her cognitive sources to control the tasks. Cognitive and metacognitive processes of the KWM implementation, involving the detailed information processing of the learner, are discussed here.

Abstract

Mahasiswa membuat seseorang memiliki  peran baru dalam dunia Pendidikan di Perguruan Tinggi. Ditemukan banyak perubahan  dalam kehidupan barunya tersebut sehingga membutuhkan kemampuan penyesuaian diri yang baik. Kemampuan penyesuaian diri yang kurang baik dapat menyebabkan seorang mahasiswa mengalami stress. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar acuan pembinaan kemahasiswaan yang lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik masing masing individu yang selanjutnya dikelompokkan berdasar karakteristik yang berdekatan. Menjadi dasar pemberian perlakuan yang tepat agar hasil pembelajaran menjadi optimal. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala stress dan penyesuaian diri. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui gambaran stress dan penyesuaian diri mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 2320 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa mahasiswa yang dalam kategori stres sedang sebanyak 55% , sebanyak 45 % dalam  kategori stres rendah, dan tidak ditemukan tingkat stress yang dalam kategori tinggi. Adapun Penyesuaian diri mahasiswa dalam kategori sedang sebanyak 88%, sebanyak 11% berada pada level penyesuaian diri rendah, dan 1% yang berada pada level tinggi.

Abstract

Mobile online gaming is now the trend is mobile battleground playerunknown?s game (PUBGM). In that type of game Battle Royale game, players are required to compete to survive and kill other players. This gives rise to controversy one of which is related as a result of aggressiveness. This research aims to know the relationship between the intensity of playing online games with aggressiveness. The study uses a quantitative research approach with correlational research design. The subject in this study amounted to 201 participants taken using the Purposive sampling technique by assigning special characteristics that fit the research objectives. The instruments used are the Likert scale Brief Aggression Questionnaire (BAQ) and the intensity scale. The result from this study was analyzed using SPSS 25 with product moment Pearson correlation technique where the coefficient of determination (R2) amounted to 0.16 and the correlation coefficient (r) 0.40 amounting to significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. It can be said there is a positive and significant relationship with moderate levels between intensity and aggressiveness. Thus the more a person has a high intensity then the greater the tendency of aggressiveness on them.

Abstract

The role of religiosity is needed to developing resilience behavior in students in Islamic boarding schools so that students can overcome existing problems despite being under pressure. One of the factors that can influence resilience is religiosity, religiosity is needed in a student as a solution if a problem occurs even though the student is in a depressed state because of the many activities carried out in Islamic boarding schools. The purpose of this research is to find out how much influence the religiosity variable has on resilience. In this study, researchers used quantitative research with a sampling technique that is stratified random sampling. In this study, researchers used boarding school students as its subjects. With a range of grades 7,8,9 in junior high school level and 10,11,12 in 221 levels of respondents in Batu City. The instruments in this study used the Seven dimension of Religiosity scale from Kendler (2003) and Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC 25). Analysis of the data used in this study is a simple linear regression test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between the variables of religiosity on resilience variables. (R2 = 0.741; p = 0,000)

Abstract

Students have various kinds of demands and obstacles on academic assignments that can make students experiencing academic stress. Academic stress make students feel uncomfortable, less focus, lack of concentration, and uncomfortable with academic activities which is called academic flow. The purpose of this was to determine the relationship between academic stress and academic flow in students. This research is a quantitative study with subjects being psychology students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang 7st grade, and 174 subjects. The sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling, namely purposive sampling and analysis techniques using product moment correlation test with SPSS 24. The results of data analysis obtained the value of r = -,359, p = 0.000 (sig <0.01) meaning this study shows the relationship between the two variables and in accordance with the hypothesis that the higher the academic stress the lower the academic flow in students. Vice versa, the lower the academic stress, the higher the academic flow in students. The effective contribution of academic stress to academic flow is 12.9% and the remainder is 87.1%, influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Academic demands, adaptation, and socialization were things that must be experienced by every student. Going by these demands made students have unstable emotions. Prolonged negative emotions with no resolution made difficult for students to develop themselves and tend to withdraw from the environment. To overcome negative emotions, an individual must be able to accept all the realities, weaknesses, and problems that occur, this term refers to self compassion. Self compassion is a compassionate attitude or behavior towards ourself when facing difficulties, to accept all suffer, self-deprivation, and every failure as part of life. The purpose of this study was to determine general description of self compassion in students. Subjects were 345 students of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Convenience sampling was used as sampling technique with Self Compassion Scale as measuring instrument. The results of this study were analyzed using quantitative descriptive test and showed that level of self compassion of students based on gender had a slight difference, 52,7% of men as well as 53,6% of women both in high category.

Abstract

Hate speech is a form of communication between individuals that involves denigrating, harrassing, intimidating or inciting hatred (provocation) towards individuals in certain groups or individuals, based on race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. The increase in cases of hate speech online makes researchers interested in conducting research on how the emergence of hate speech behavior in based on one of the factors, self-esteem. This study aims to analyze and describe self-esteem in hate speaker supporters on social media. This research incorporates a descriptive quantitative research model. The subjects of this study amounted to 149 people, aged 18-25 years who were selected using the accidental sampling technique. The research instruments in the present study are hate speech scale and self esteem scale. The results of this study indicate that hate speaker supporters tend to have a high level of self-esteem (52,3%) and moderate level of self-esteem (47,7%).

Abstract

Heavy workloads and uncertain working hours on TNI soldiers can trigger burnout. With the existence of burnout, social support from people around is expected to be able to contribute to preventing or reducing the level of burnout on TNI soldiers. The purpose of this study is to find out a contribution from social support in the work environment to burnout in the army. Respondents in the study were 202 people aged 21-30 years with a work period of more than one year. The data collection technique used in this study was purposive sampling. In this study, social support that acts as a variable (X) was measured by instruments from Adrian in 2014 which obtained a reliability value of 0.925. Whereas, to measure burnout which acts as a variable (Y) the MBI (Maslach Burnout Scale) instrument was used which was tested by Andarini in 2018 with a reliability value of 0.902. In this study, the data obtained were analyzed using simple linear regression with the results that showed that there was a negative effect of social support on burnout on Army soldiers (B = -0.482). It can be explained that the higher the social support received, the burnout experienced will be low. Conversely, if the social support received is low, the level of burnout experienced will be even higher. Based on research results, social support has a contribution of 24% to burnout.
