Abstract

The performance of student organizations is a crucial variable in maintaining their existence and achieving their organizational goals. One of the important factors that influence this is the degree of sense of community of the members of the organization. Sexism as a gender prejudice is considered to have the potential to influence aspects of the sense of community and organizational performance. This study aims to examine sexism as a moderator on the relationship between sense of community and organizational performance. This study uses a quantitative method and determines the subject using a random sampling technique to the members of student organizations with a total of 223 subjects. The measuring instrument used is Sense of Community version 2, The Ambivalent of Sexism Inventory, and an Organizational Performance Scale. Data analysis used the method of moderated regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between sense of community and organizational performance, and sexism as a moderator variable had an insignificant value on the relationship between sense of community and organizational performance.   Keywords: Organizational performance, sense of community, sexism, university student

Abstract

≤   Performance problems of police members are influenced by a very heavy workload, incompatibility with passion, and personal issues. Those performance problems determine organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore this research was done to know the effect of organizational citizenship behavior toward the work performance of police members. This research is quantitative research with a survey design. The subjects are 200 members of the Indonesian National Police. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The analysis in this study used simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study provided evidence to accept the hypothesis that there is a significant positive impact between organizational citizenship behavior on performance (β = 0.41, p<0.001), the higher organizational citizenship behavior, the higher the performance of police personnel.   Keywords: Indonesian national police, organizational citizenship behaviour, performance

Abstract

The low number of high school graduates in Purworejo who continue their education to college is caused by the students’ concerns about the high cost of education and lack of student confidence in their abilities. One of those who experienced this was an orphanage teenager. Teenagers in orphanages are teenagers who are deliberately entrusted by their parents to get a decent life and education. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and motivation to continue education to college. The sample recruitment was determined using cluster random sampling method and found 81 teenage orphanages as participants. The instruments used are the Motivation Scale Continuing Education to Higher Education with 43 (a = 0.930) and the Self Concept Scale with 25 (a = 0.870). The results of a simple regression analysis showed that there is a significant positive relationship between self-concept and motivation to continue education to college (F = 105.700; p < 0.05; r = 0.756). SE contributed 57,632% of the motivation to continue their education to college.   Keywords: Motivation to continue study to the college, orphanage teenager, self-concept

Abstract

Organizational citizenship behavior is a worker’s behavior that exceeds their role and can benefit the company. In generating OCB, sometimes employees experience various obstacles, one of which is work-family conflict. WFC is a situation where employees have conflicts in carrying out their roles to complete their work with their roles in the family. This study aims to determine the effect of WFC on the emergence of employee OCB. The importance of this research is that the company can pay more attention to its employees in reducing role conflict, and is expected to increase employee OCB. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The research subjects were 171 people consisting of permanent employees and they were married. The data collection method used a work-family conflict scale that had been compiled by Carlson et al. and an organizational citizenship behavior scale that had been compiled by Smith et al. A simple regression analysis test with IBM Statistic 25 program showed a significant and negative influence between WFC on employee OCB. Work-family conflict itself contributes an effective contribution of 17.1% to employees’ organizational citizenship behavior.   Keywords: Employees, organizational citizenship behavior, work-family conflict

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected people’s mental health, especially in the education sector. One of the mental health problems that often occur in students who are completing their final assignments are symptoms of depression. Cognitive emotion regulation is one capacity to overcome depression with the use of adaptive approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cognitive emotion regulation on depression in final year students in Indonesia during the covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 349 final year students and their data were taken using an accidental sampling technique. Analysis of research data used the simple linear regression test. The results showed that there was a significant influence between cognitive emotion regulation and depression (p = 0.00). The effect of cognitive emotion regulation shown is 4.2% of the variance of depression.   Keywords: Cognitive emotion regulation, college students, covid-19, depression, final assignment

Abstract

The phenomenon of marriage at a young age is increasing in Tulungagung. Teenagers who decide to marry young will experience some negative impacts, especially if they are not accompanied with a mature emotional state. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and marital adjustment in young marriages. This study uses quantitative methods. Subjects are selected using purposive sampling technique with the criteria of couples who married when their age is less than 21 years old, with a marriage age of 1-5 years in Tulungagung Regency. This study obtained as many as 83 respondents. This study collected data using a scale of emotional maturity and marriage adjustment through google form and then analyzed using the correlation product moment formula. The results showed the value of r = 0.534 (p <0.05) which means that there is a positive relationship between emotional maturity and marital adjustment. The higher the emotional maturity, the higher the marital adjustment. Vice versa, if emotional maturity is low, marital adjustment will also be low.   Keywords: Early age marriages, emotional maturity, marital adjustment

Abstract

Excellent human resources in the organization are seen as the principal capital for the company to improve the company’s role, function, and competitiveness in facing developments and changes both internally and externally. Companies with high-stress levels need superior employees that motivated, passionate about work and loyal to the organization. These needs can refer to the characteristics of employees who are engaged with their work. However, there are still many dynamics of psychological constructs that have not been revealed that can increase work engagement. The purpose of this study was to determine whether self-efficacy can be a mediator on the effect of perceived organizational support (POS) on work engagement. The research was conducted through a survey method taken from 103 bank marketing employees. The collected data were analyzed through the structural equation model (SEM) and showed an indirect effect of perceived organizational support on work engagement (ab = 0.13; p≤0.001). This result shows that self-efficacy partially mediates the relationship between perceived organizational support (POS) and work engagement and the research hypothesis is acceptable. Abstract

Kematian pasangan hidup menimbulkan banyak permasalahan seperti stigma negatif masyarakat tentang status janda, permasalahan ekonomi, seksual dan sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengapa seseorang memilih untuk menjanda pasca kematian pasangan hidup. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah 3 orang wanita yang menjanda pasca kematian suami. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara semi terstuktur. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi data yang ada, kemudian menyajikan data selanjutnya diambil kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyebab seseorang mempertahankan status janda dan tidak menikah lagi adalah penilaian yang sangat positif tentang suami yaitu persepsi bahwa suami tidak bisa digantikan, merasa khawatir akan beban ekonomi menjadi bertambah apabila menikah lagi, tidak ada dukungan dari keluarga. Selain itu, keinginan untuk berkonsentrasi pada keluarga juga menjadi penyebab seseorang menjanda pasca kematian pasangan hidupnya. Kata kunci: Menjanda, Kematian pasangan hidup Spouse's death raises many issues such associety's negative stigma of widowhood, economic problems, sexualand so on. This study aims to deter mine why a person chooses to widowhood after the death of a spouse. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research subjects amounted to 3 womans abandoned by her husband's death to the status of widows. Data is collected by semi-structured interview method. Data analysis done by reducing the existing data, then present the data taken further conclusions. These results indicate that the cause of a person to maintain the status widow and not remarried is a very positive assessment of the husband is the perception that the husband can not be replaced, worried about the economic burden to be increased if married again, no support from family. In addition,the desire to concentrateon the family also becamea widow after the death of a person causes his life partner. Keywords: Widowed, The death of spouse

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran stres kerja dan strategi coping pada karyawan bank bagian teller. Metode pengumpulan data adalah wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gambaran stres kerja teller bank meliputi stressor yaitu resiko pekerjaan tinggi, adanya konflik/komplain, peningkatan jumlah nasabah, dan fasilitas perlengkapan kantor kurang baik. Gejala stres kerja yaitu otot tubuh tegang, konsentrasi terganggu dan menurun, suasana hati mudah buruk, kurang konsentrasi saat berkomunikasi, dan menjadi pendiam. Dampak stres kerja yaitu merasa ingin keluar dari pekerjaan karena tekanan kerja dan sering melakukan kesalahan pada saat bekerja. Dampak bagi orang lain yaitu hubungan dengan orang lain menjadi kurang harmonis, seperti dengan orang tua, pasangan, anak ataupun rekan kerja. Strategi coping yang digunakan adalah perpaduan antara strategi coping berfokus emosi dan strategi coping berfokus masalah. Coping berfokus emosi yang digunakan seperti mencari hiburan dengan jalan-jalan, makan bersama teman/rekan kerja, sedangkan coping berfokus masalah yaitu berusaha menjelaskan kepada nasabah ketika ada konflik. Kata kunci: Stres kerja, Strategi coping, Teller bank The purpose of this study to know the description of work stress and coping strategies of a teller. Researcher use interview dan observation to colecting data. The results showed that the job stress of a bank teller include stressor that is high risk work, conflicts or complaints, increasing number of customer, and office facilities are not properly fulfilled. Stress symptoms are muscles tense, concentration to be disrupted, and be withdrawn after work. The impact of job stress includefeels like to get out of work due to work pressures and often make mistakes at work. Impact for others are relationships with others become less harmonious, as a parent, soulmate, child or colleagues. The coping strategies used is a blend of emotion focused coping strategies and problem focused coping strategies. Emotion focused coping is used as entertainment like walking around, eating with friends or colleagues. Problem focused coping such as trying to explain to customers when there is conflict. Abstract

Keyakinan seseorang akan kemampuannya untuk mencapai tujuan (Self efficacy) diperlukan siswa untuk dapat menghadapi Ujian Nasional (UN) dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self efficacy dengan kecemasan dalam menghadapi ujian nasional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini 70 siswa SMK kelas 3. Metode pengumpulan data adalah skala, dengan skala likert. Metode analisa data adalah korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar -0,615dan (p) = 0,000 hal ini menandakan adanya hubungan negatif yang sangat signifikan antara variabel self efficacy dengan variabel kecemasan. Hal ini berarti apabila self efficacy tinggi maka kecemasan menghadapi ujian nasional rendah, dan sebaliknya jika nilai self efficacy rendah maka kecemasan dalam menghadapi ujian nasional tinggi. Nilai koefisien determinan ( ) = 0,378, yang bermakna bahwa variabel self efficacy mampu menjelaskan variabel kecemasan menghadapi ujian nasional sebesar 37,8%, sisanya sebesar 62,2% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Kata kunci: Self efficacy, Kecemasan a person's belief in his/her ability to achieve the goals is need student to convince the students could face the national examination well because students sometime get an anxiety in facing the national examinations. Otherwise, if the students have high self-efficacy then the students will have low anxiety because those students are already convinced of their ability. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of self-efficacy with the anxiety of facing national examinations. The type of this research is quantitative research. The populations in this study are the students of 3rd grade of vocational school. The methods of collecting the data is scale, by using Likert scale. While the method of data analysis used product moment correlation..Based on the data analysis, it obtained that the correlation of coefficient (r) is -0.615 and (p) = 0.000 it indicates that there is a relationship of negative direction which very significant between self-efficacy variable with the anxiety variable. This means if the self-efficacy is high so the anxiety of facing national exams is low and the vice versa if the value of self-efficacy is low, the anxiety of facing national exam is high. The value of determinant coefficient (R2) = 0.378, which means that the self-efficacy variable could explain the anxiety variable of facing national exams at 37.8%, the other is 62.2% influenced by other.
