Abstract

Sebagai makhluk sosial, tentunya setiap orang harus memiliki perilaku prososial karena pasti akan membutuhkan bantuan orang lain. Namun pada kenyataannya, prososial pada masyarakat termasuk di kalangan mahasiswa semakin menurun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan prososial mahasiswa yang tinggal di asrama dan tinggal bersama orang tua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode non-tes dengan menggunakan skala prososial dengan model skala likert. Jumlah subjek yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 205 orang dengan rincian 103 orang subjek yang tinggal bersama orang tua dan 102 subjek yang tinggal di asrama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan prososial antara mahasiswa yang tinggal di asrama dan mahasiswa yang tinggal bersama orang tua. Perilaku prososial mahasiswa yang tinggal di asrama lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang tinggal bersama orang tua dengan nilai t sebesar -15,494 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Kata kunci: Prososial, asrama, tempat tinggal Being a social creature, it is reasonable if everyone must have pro-social behavior because everyone must need help from others. But in reality, pro-social behavior in the community, including college students, has decreased. Research aims at understanding the difference of pro-social behavior between the college students who live at dorm and those who live with their parent. Method of research is non-test using pro-social scale with Likert scale model. The number of subject is 205 subjects. On detail, 103 subjects are living with the parent and 102 subjects are living at dorm. Result of research indicates that there is different pro-social behavior between college students who live at dorm and those who live with the parent. Pro-social behavior of college students who live at dorm is higher than those who live with the parent as shown by t-value of -15,494 and significance level of 0.000. Abstract

Memecahkan masalah merupakan aktifitas sehari-hari yang dihadapi setiap orang. Setiap orang juga memiliki cara mereka masing-masing untuk menyelesaikan suatu masalah. Adapun hal terpenting yang perlu dimiliki setiap orang saat menyelesaikan suatu masalah yakni kecerdasan, karena kecerdasan itu sendiri merupakan anugrah yang dimiliki setiap orang termasuk untuk menyelesaikan suatu masalah. Dan kecerdasan spiritual merupakan puncak untuk untuk setiap kecerdasan yang lain karna spiritualitas merupakan bentuk kecerdasan secara utuh yang mana mencakup dari intelektualitas, emosional dan spiritual itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara kemampuan memecahkan masalah dengan kecerdasan spiritual. Penelitian ini melibatkan 357 orang. Analisa statistik yang digunakan adalah korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara kecerdasan spiritual dengan kemampuan memecahkan masalah, dimana terdapat aspek eksistensial dalam kecerdasan spiritual yang mana hal tersebut membuat seseorang berpikir lebih untuk menyelesaikan masalah mereka. Kata kunci: Kemampuan memecahkan masalah, kecerdasan spiritual Solving problems is an everyday activity that everyone faces. Everyone also has their own way to solve a problem. The most important thing that needs to be owned by any person while solving a problem that is intelligence, because intelligence itself is the gift that each person, including to resolve a problem. And spiritual intelligence is the peak for each other intelligences because spirituality is an integrity of intellectual, emotional and spiritual itself. This study aimed to determine the correlation between the ability to solve problems with spiritual intelligence. The study involved 357 respondent. The statistical analysis used was the product moment correlation. The results showed that there is a positive correlation between spiritual intelligence with the ability to solve problems, where there is the existential aspects of spiritual intelligence where it makes a person think more to solve their problems. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengungkapan diri remaja terhadap orang tua dengan kenakalan remaja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan populasi mahasiswa.Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling dan menggunakan 147 mahasiswa psikologi.Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala pengungkapan diri dan skala kenakalan remaja.Analisa dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisa korelasi product moment dari Pearson’s. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan (r= -0,563 ; p/sig=0,000) antara pengungkapan diri remaja terhadap orang tua dengan kenakalan remaja. Sumbangan efektif dari pengungkapan diri dengan kenakalan remaja sebesar 31,7 %, sedangkan sumbangan dari faktor lain diluar variabel yang diujikan 68,3 %. Kata kunci: Pengungkapan diri, kenakalan remaja. This research is purpose to reveal the relationship of self disclosure toward parents with the juvenile delinquency. This research use corelationship. The sampling technic which used for this researchis cluster random sampling and used 147 university students of fourth grade psychology departement as subject. The method of collecting data used self disclosure scale and juvenile delinquency scale. The analysis of this research used correlation analysis product moment of Pearson’s. The result of this research is there is a significant negative relationship between juvenile self disclosure towards parent with the juvenile delinquency. Effective contribution of self-disclosure with juvenile delinquencyby 31.7%, while the contribution of other factors beyond thevariables tested68.3%. Keywords: Self disclosure, juvenile deliquecy.

Abstract

Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang memiliki mahasiswa dari berbagai budaya diantaranya berasal dari Sumatera, Kalimantan, Bali, NTB, NTT, Sulawesi dan Papua. Kemungkinan, dalam proses akulturasi mahasiswa yang berasal dari luar Jawa ada yang mengalami kesulitan untuk beradaptasi dan tidak ada yang mengalami kesulitan dalam beradaptasi. Istilah yang digunakan untuk menyebut individu yang mengalami kesulitan untuk beradaptasi adalah culture shock. Salah satu unsur untuk mengurangi tingkat culture shock yaitu dengan dukungan sosial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan sosial dengan culture shock yang dialami oleh mahasiswa baru Fakultas Psikologi UMM. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala dukungan sosial dan skala culture shock dengan model skala likert. Jumlah subjek sebanyak 103 mahasiswa yang berasal dari luar Jawa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif antara dukungan sosial dengan culture shock pada mahasiswa luar Jawa di Fakultas Psikologi UMM yang dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitungan korelasi product moment. Semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang didapatkan maka semakin rendah tingkat culture shock yang dialami (r = -0.370 ;p = 0.000; p = 0 < 0.01 ). Kata kunci: Dukungan sosial, culture shock, mahasiswa, luar Jawa University of Muhammadiyah Malang have a students from different cultures which are from Sumatera, Kalimantan, Bali, NTB, NTT, Sulawesi and Papua. Possibility, in the process of acculturation a students are come from outside of Java there are having difficulty to adapt and experiencing no difficulties in adapting. The term used to explain individuals are have difficulty to adapt is culture shock. One element to reduce the rate of culture shock is the social support. The purpose of this study was of social support relationships with the culture shock experienced by new students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This study used a questionnaire and social support for overseas culture shock questionnaire with Likert scale modesl. The number of subjects as many as 103 students from outside of Java. The results showed that there is a negative relationship between social support with culture shock on foreign students at the Faculty of Psychology UMM Java as evidenced by the results of the calculation of the product moment correlation. The higher the social support obtained, the lower level of culture shock experienced (r = -0.370 ;p = 0.000; p = 0 < 0.01 ). Keywords : social support, culture shock, students, outside java

Abstract

Students have responsibilities and roles in college, the adaptation process that occurs, makes students face many problems in achieving their goals and life satisfaction. Late adolescence towards early adulthood makes emotional more dominant in overcoming the problem, so that emotion focused coping has an important role in regulating emotion when face problem to proceed towards solving problems in achieving life satisfaction. This study aims to determine the correlation between emotion focused coping and students’ life satisfaction. This study designed as correlational quantitative. The subject involved in this study were 650 students. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratisfied random sampling. The data collection instruments used were emotion focused coping scale and life satisfaction scale. The data were analyzed by using product moment correlation. The result of this study indicates that there is a significant correlation between emotion focused coping and life satisfaction (p = 0.000, r = 0.346). The effective contribution of emotion focused coping variables to life satisfaction is 12%.

Abstract

A healthy person is a person who always develops in new states that require adjustment, while an unhealthy individual is when individuals do not use the potential that can be maintained and used in their lives, specifically for women who actually can increase their potential. The purpose of this study was to study the infuency of personal maturity towards Cinderella Complex in early adult women. This study used a correlational research design, using a accidental sampling technique with help of google form. The subjects were 2956 early adult women aged 18-25 years. The instrument in this study used a scale of personal maturity and the scale of the findings of the cinderella complex inventory. Data analysis using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there were effect of personal maturity towards complex cinderella tendencies in early adult women. The value of regression coefficient is -0.390 with p = 0,000 <0.05. This result shows that the higher the personal maturit in earl adult woman, the lower cinderella complex tendency in individuals. The influence of personal maturity towards the tendency of Cinderella complex in early adult women is about 34.7%. This research can be used as a material consideration to arrange psychoeducation program as a preventive effort.

Abstract

Mothers who have autistic children are not easy to care for. Different treatments, special care for autistic children who have complex conditions different from normal children is what makes parents experience parental stress, especially mothers. One way to deal with maternal parenting stress is by using coping strategies. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between coping strategies and parenting stress on mothers with autistic children and to find out how strong the relationship of coping strategies is problem focused coping with emotion focused coping to the level of parenting stress in mothers with autistic children. This research is a quantitative correlational study using the subject of 60 mothers who have autistic children. The sampling technique used is sampling quota where the sampling technique is determined from a population that has certain characteristics to the desired number (quota). This research method uses 2 scales, namely Brief COPE and PSI-SF. While the data analysis used in this study isanalysis product moment using SPSS 25. The results obtained a significant value of 0.01 <0.05 and r value of 0.601 which means there is a positive relationship between coping strategies with parenting stress in mothers who have autistic children. The contribution of coping strategies to parenting stress is 36.1%.

Abstract

Academic procrastination can be stated as a procrastination tendency to start up or finish an academic assignment; thus, if the behavior is allowed, it will give bad impacts to the students. Therefore, it is needed a way that can be used to decrease the academic procrastination of the Senior High School (SMA) students, in which it is by using the peer counseling. This research aimed at discovering the effectiveness of peer counseling to decrease the academic procrastination tendency on the 11th grade students of Senior High School (SMA). This research was a quasi-experimental research using the pre-test post-test control group design. The research subjects were determined by using the purposive sampling, in which there were 20 students that consisted of 10 students of experimental group and 10 students of control group. The data collection method used the Tuckman Procrastination Scale (TPS) which analyzed by using the Wilcoxon analysis test and the Mann Whitney test. The research results showed that there was a difference on the score of academic procrastination (Z = -3,445; ρ = 0,001<0,05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the peer counseling can be used to decrease the academic procrastination tendency on the 11th grade students of Senior High School (SMA).

Abstract

Empathy in children is considered very important because it will affect their social and individual skills. One of the factors that influence the empathy is communication through the internet. The tendency of internet addiction is the use of the internet which is aimed of accessing social media, playing online games, listening to music and videos online excessively. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the tendency of internet addiction and empathy in elementary school children. This study used a correlational qualitative approach. The subjects were 115 students with a range of grades 4 to 6 taken by purposive sampling technique. The method of data analysis was the product moment correlation method from Karl Pearson of utilizing the SPSS 21.0 program. The results showed that (r) mark was 0.206 with p was 0.014 <0.05. It indicated that there is a significant negative relationship between the tendency of internet addiction and the empathy. The contribution of internet addiction to the empathy was 4,2% (r2= 0.042).

Abstract

In consumer behavior, it followed by post-purchase evaluation. When in the evaluation, there appears a doubt about the purchase decision on a product, and then an individual must be experiencing a post-purchase dissonance. The product used in this study is the iPhone. As for the factors that can influence post-purchase dissonance, one of them is the tendency of individual anxiety, which is caused by personality type. This study aims to determine the differences in iPhone users’ student with type A and type B personalities in experiencing post-purchase dissonance. The analysis used causal comparative and determination of the subject used purposive sampling. The research subjects were iPhone users’ students of Muhammadiyah Malang University, amount 125 subjects. This study used a post-purchase dissonance scale, also type A and type B personality scale. The analysis in this study used an independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was no difference in post-purchase dissonance in terms of type A and type B personality patterns with a significance value of 0.352 and p = 0,05 (0,352 > 0,05). Keywords: Post-purchase dissonance, Type A and type B personality, iPhone users’ Student.
