Abstract

Background: Anemia is a condition when the concentration of red blood cells is below normal. Adolescent girls are susceptible to anemia due to inadequate nutritional intake, as well as physiological factors such as menstruation which causes adolescent girls to lose about 1.3 mg of blood per day, the possibility of pregnancy and abortion. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls regarding compliance with Fe tablet consumption. Methods: The research method used a descriptive analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all adolescent girls at SMA IT and the research sample was 30 adolescent girls based on a very small population, so the sample of 30 became large or more than 75% of the population. Result: The results showed that 12 respondents (40%) had a good level of knowledge, 10 respondents (33.3%) with a sufficient level of knowledge and 8 respondents (26.7%) with a low level of knowledge. The proportion of adolescents who were obedient in consuming Fe tablets was more dominant in the good knowledge group (40%), while in the low knowledge group it was only 13%. Chi-Square test analysis using SPSS version 27 with a result of P <0.05 showed a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls in compliance with consuming Fe tablets. The results of the Odds Ratio (OR) analysis were 10.286, indicating that the chance of compliance in consuming Fe tablets was 10 times higher compared to respondents who commented negatively. Conclusion: The conclusion of the study showed that the level of knowledge and attitude of adolescent girls was significantly related to compliance in consuming Fe tablets. Further research is suggested to explore forms of educational interventions such as using educational video media to improve knowledge and attitudes in consuming Fe tablets.

Abstract

Background: Labor pain is a major physiological and psychological challenge faced by women during childbirth. The use of non-pharmacological methods such as labor dance is increasingly being considered because of its effectiveness in reducing pain without causing pharmacological side effects. Objective: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of labor dance interventions in reducing labor pain, increasing labor satisfaction, and its effects on neonatal outcomes. Method: This study is a literature review of seven articles covering various RCT designs, involving pregnant women in the active phase of labor. Data were reviewed based on pain intensity (VAS), anxiety levels, maternal satisfaction, perception of labor trauma, and neonatal outcomes. Results: The majority of study results showed that labor dance was effective in significantly reducing labor pain scores at 30 and 60 minutes after the intervention. In addition, this method contributed to increased maternal satisfaction, decreased perception of labor trauma, and better neonatal outcomes, including Apgar scores and infant oxygen levels. Several studies reported that the effects on anxiety and labor duration were not always statistically significant. Conclusion: Labor dance is an effective, inexpensive, and safe non-pharmacological approach to reducing pain and improving the labor experience. This method can be integrated into routine midwifery practice by involving the couple as active supporters.

Abstract

Background: The incidence of emesis gravidarum in Indonesia, based on observational data, is 24.7% among 2,203 pregnant women. Globally, the incidence is around 14%. Physiologically, the pregnant body adapts to maintain the pregnancy. After fertilization, the body increases the production of hCG hormone to sustain the corpora lutea during the early stages of pregnancy, which also produces estrogen and progesterone. The rise in these hormones affects the body, making it more susceptible to emesis gravidarum. One management approach to reduce the frequency of emesis gravidarum in first-trimester pregnant women is inhalation of Red Ginger Aromatherapy using a diffuser. Ginger contains essential oils, vitamin A, and bitter resin. Its essential oil has a refreshing effect and can block the vomiting reflex. Objective: To determine the effect of Red Ginger (Zingiber Officinale var. rubrum) Essential Oil Aromatherapy on emesis gravidarum in first-trimester pregnant women. Method: This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The research sample consisted of first-trimester pregnant women experiencing emesis gravidarum who visited the Midwifery Outpatient Clinic at Abepura Regional Public Hospital and met the inclusion criteria. A total of 30 participants were included in one group without a comparison group and were given Red Ginger Aromatherapy using a diffuser. The aromatherapy was administered once daily for 7 consecutive days. The severity of emesis gravidarum was measured before and after the intervention using the PUQE Score. Results: A Paired T-Test showed a statistically significant result with p < 0.001. Conclusion: There is an effect of Red Ginger Aromatherapy on reducing emesis gravidarum in first-trimester pregnant women.

Abstract

Background :Warm compresses are a method of giving a feeling of warmth to teenagers who experience menstrual pain by using a tool that creates warmth in the parts of the body that need it. Warm compresses that use the principle of heat transfer by means of conduction, namely by attaching a warm towel to the area above the symphysis, will improve blood circulation and reduce muscle tension, thereby reducing pain in young women. The warm compress technique is carried out by giving bottles filled with water to young women who are having menstrual pain. Purpose : This study was to examine literature, articles and research documents which identified the effect of warm compresses on dysmenorrhea in young women. Method : type of research is literature review namely a research review literature the results of previous research studies to obtain data in accordance with the topic. The researcher conducted a journal search using 3 databases namely google scholar, pubmed andproQuest by using keywords, the journals you are looking for are from 2015-2021 and researchers get 10 literature which is used for literature review. Results : Journal studies show that there is an effect of giving warm compresses to young women, warm compresses are an effective intervention to reduce menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in adolescents apart from the use of pharmacological drugs. Abstract

Background: Posyandu is a community-based health effort driven by selected cadres to carry out routine Posyandu activities as reform agents who act as community mobilizers, counseling and monitoring related to the success of achieving exclusive breastfeeding. The success of exclusive breastfeeding includes E1 to E6 status, but in practice, there are obstacles experienced by cadres in carrying out their duties because the level of education is still lacking and they have not received training. Purpose: this study was to examine the application of social interaction learning models by cadres in achievement of exclusive breastfeeding status 1. Method: this study uses a correlational method. Results: the study showed that there were differences in the level of knowledge of Cadres before and after mentoring p-value = 0.010, achievement of E1 Status was 78% (28 people) and the application of social interaction learning models by Cadres was only 33% (24 people) then the data was analyzed using chi square, while the p-value = 0.777. which means that there is no relationship between the application of the social interaction learning model and the attainment of Exclusive ASI status 1. It can be assumed that there are factors that influence a person's knowledge including age, level of education, occupation, interests, and sources of information.
