This study aims to determine the increase in the understanding of concepts and students ability at SMP Swasta Tarbiyah Islamiyah for the cube and beam through mathematical realistic approach. To find out how much improvement is obtained, students were given a test of understanding of concepts ability. Increased capabilities were first analyzed by using the normalized gain and processed by using two ways ANOVA formula. Two ways ANOVA formula is also used to determine whether an interaction between learning approach and students abilitiy to increase understanding of concepts skills. The results showed that (1) an increase in the understanding of concepts that students taught through mathematical realistic approach higher than understanding of concepts ability that students are taught only through ordinary learning, and (2) there is no interaction between the learning approach and the students ability to the improvement of students 'mathematical understanding of concepts ability.

This study aims to find out how to do the coaching ability of teachers to improve student learning outcomes Elementary School Mathematics 026 408 by using model study of Quantum Teaching. This research is a school action. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach to the type of action research school. The subjects were 026 408 primary school teachers Binjai with number 6 teachers. Data from this study were collected through test results and the results of observation. Results lesson using Quantum Teaching methods result: On average Pre cycle learning outcomes in class was 55.00 so do the implementation of the first cycle with the average value obtained was 65.00, an increase of 10.00 and from the first cycle the second cycle to 65.00 into 90.00 is also an increase of 25.00. Thus in accordance with the criteria established that the model of Quantum Teaching can improve the learning outcomes of teachers on the subject of the rectangle.

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the ability of understanding mathematical concepts eighth grade junior high school 3 Lala River. This is the kind of research is a Quasi Experiment, design Nonequivalen control group design. Data analysis techniques in this test using normality test, homogeneity and hypothesis testing. Based on the calculation hypothesis test showed significant values t_test = 1.619 t_table = 2.012. So it can be concluded that the ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts with the application of Inside Outside Circle learning model is better than the ability of understanding mathematical concepts students by using conventional learning models in class VIII School SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Lala.Keywords: Inside Outside Circle, Understanding of Mathematical ConceptAbstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VIII Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 3 Sungai Lala. Jenis penelitian ini adalah adalah Quasi Experiment, dengan desain Nonequivalen control grup desain. Teknik analisis data dalam pengujian ini menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikan = 1,619 = 2,012. jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Inside Outside Circlelebih baik daripada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional di kelas VIII Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 3 Sungai Lala.Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Konsep dan Inside Outside Circle

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to know the understanding of mathematical concepts of students with the use of conceptual attainment model is better than the understanding of students' mathematical concepts with conventional learning. This research is quasi experimental research. The research design used was randomized subjects posttest only control group design. By selecting a Class VIII-2 sample as an experimental class and class VIII-1 as a control class of analytical techniques using the t-test as a hypothesis test, the prerequisite test is a normality test and homogeneity test. Based on the hypothesis test, t-test, obtained the price tarithmetic = 3.073 and price ttable = -1.997 at the real level of 0.05. Because tarithmetic ttable, so Ha accepted and H0 rejected. So it can be concluded that the ability to understand the concept of mathematics students using conceptual learning model attainment better than the ability to understand the concept of mathematics students using conventional learning model.Keywords: Concept Attainment, Understanding of Concept

AbstractThe research aimed study to determine: 1) the increasing ability of mathematics problem solving and student’s self regulated learning by using Differentiated Instruction is better than students comprehension convensional approach. 2) there was the interaction between learning by students first mathematic ability toward the increasing ability of mathematics problem solving and student’s self regulated learning. This kind of research is the quasi experiment. The populations of this research are all of the students in X grade of Tehnical High School 1 Percut Sei Tuan and the sample choosen is randomly sample which are Tehnical High School 1 Percut Sei Tuan contain with X TKJ1 as experiment class and X TITL1 as control class each consist of 24 students. Instrument used consisted of: (1) test studens first mathematic, (2) test problem solving and (3) self regulated learning scale. The instrument has been declared eligible content validity and reliability coeffesient of 0,809 dan 0,737 respectively for test mathematics problem solving and self regulated learning. Data analysis is done by using ANAVA two ways. The result of this research shown that (1) there increasing ability in mathematics problem solving and student’s self regulated learning by using Differentiated Instruction is better than using students comprehension convensional approach, (2) there were no interaction between learning and student’s ability level to the increasing ability of mathematics problem solving and student’s self regulated learning. The researcher suggests to use the Differentiated Instruction approach as the alternative way for teachers to increase the ability in mathematics problem solving and student’s self regulated learning. Abstract. The purpose of this study is to know whether the cooperative learning model type Think Talk Write (TTW) can improve student learning outcomes on the material of Two Variable Linear Equation System in class VIII SMP Swasta Tamansiswa Sukadamai Asahan District. This research is a Classroom Action Research. Subjects in this study are students of class VIII SMP Swasta Tamansiswa Sukadamai Asahan regency as many as 36 students. The object of this research is the use of cooperative learning model type Think Talk Write (TTW) in improving student learning outcomes. The instrument used in this study is the test of learning outcomes in the form of test essays and observation sheets. The results obtained before the given learning there are 30.6% of students who have completed, after given the learning in the first cycle there are 63.9% of students who have completed and increased after learning on cycle II there are 86.1% of students who have completed study With absorption capacity of 65%.Keywords: cooperative learning model type Think Talk Write (TTW), learning outcomesAbstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel di kelas VIII SMP Swasta Tamansiswa Sukadamai Kabupaten Asahan. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Tamansiswa Sukadamai Kabupaten Asahan sebanyak 36 siswa. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk essay tes dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh sebelum diberikan pembelajaran terdapat 30,6% siswa yang telah tuntas, setelah diberikan pembelajaran pada siklus I terdapat 63,9 % siswa yang telah tuntas dan mengalami peningkatan setelah dilakukan pembelajaran pada siklus II terdapat 86,1% siswa yang telah tuntas belajar dengan daya serap 65%.Kata Kunci: Kooperatif Think Talk Write (TTW), Hasil Belajar Siswa.

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to produce quality student activity sheets. To achieve this, this research uses development research. The development model used in this study is a 4-D development model consisting of the Define, Design, Development and Disseminate stages. The subject of this research is the tenth grade students of SMK 1 Percut Sei Tuan Deli Serdang Regency and the object of this research is the mathematics student activity sheet of trigonometry material using the Differentiated Instruction (DI) approach. Developed in this study is the student activity sheet (LAS). The results of the study show that: (1) the level of mastery learning in classical is 83.33%; (2) the level of student activity during the learning process takes place on the ideal time tolerance criteria; (3) the level of the teacher's ability to manage learning is good, because the average has reached the minimum criteria; (4) student responses to the components of the device and the learning process are positive; (5) Mathematical problem solving abilities of students have increased with an average value of 1.457 at pretest and 3.103 in postes with an average increase (N Gain) included in the medium category with an average of 0.521. The researcher suggested that the Differentiated Instruction approach be an alternative for teachers to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities.Keywords: Student Activity Sheet, Differentiated Instruction Approach, mathematical problem solving ability

Abstract. This research aimed study to determine: 1) the increasing ability of mathematic connection and student’s positive thingking by using Contextual Learning are higher than students or usual learning approach. 2) there was the interaction between learning by students mathematic ability toward the increasing ability of mathematic connection and student’s positive thinking. 3) to determine how the answering process are made by the students in problem solving by using contextual learning and usual learning approach. This kind of research is the quasi experiment. The populations of this research are all of the students in X grade of Tehnical High School with acreditation B where is in Medan and the sample is chosen random sample. Where SMK Medan consist of X Nautic as experiment class and X Tehnical as control class am each consist of 34 students. The instrument used consist of: (1) test students initial mathematic ability, (2) test for mathematic connection and (3) scale for positive thingking, the subject up space. Data analysis are done by using ANAVA two ways. The result of this research shown that (1) the increasing ability in mathematic connection and student’s positive thinking by using Contextual Learning is higher than using student’s usual thinking approach, (2) there were no interaction between learning and student’s ability level to the increasing ability of mathematics and student’s positive thinking. The researcher suggests to use the Contextual Learning as the alternative way for teachers to increase the ability of mathematic connection and student’s positive thingking.Keyword: Contextual Learning, Mathematical Connection Ability, and Positive Student Attitudes

Abstract. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are taught through an investigative approach and with conventional approaches in class VIII SMP 9 of Pematangsiantar. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP 9 of Pematangsiantar as many as 8 classes. The problem solving abilities of students taught with an investigative approach to the average pretest of 57.73 and post-test of 85.42, the level of change in problem solving abilities was 27.69. Higher than the problem solving abilities of students who are taught with conventional learning the average pretest is 56.67 and posttest is 72.67. Hypothesis testing, from the calculation of student pretest data obtained at dk = 64 and the real level α = 0.05 and ????(1−12∝)=????0,975 obtained ttable = 1.669 and tcount = 1.172. Because tcount ttable = (1.172 1.669) it can be concluded that the initial ability of students is the same. While based on the calculation of student posttest data obtained at dk = 64 and the real level α = 0.05 obtained ttable = 1.669 and t count = 4.212. Because tcount ttable (4.212 1.669) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Then it was concluded that there were significant differences between problem solving abilities taught by an investigative approach and conventional approaches.Keywords: Problem Solving Ability, Investigative Approach, Conventional Approach.

This research is aimed to know: (1) Whether the increasing of mathematical concept understanding ability students through problem-based learning model assisted Autograph better than the increasing of mathematical concept understanding ability students through problem-based learning model assisted Geogebra, (2) How the interaction between learning and early math ability of student mathematical concept understanding, The population are all students of SMA Free Methodist Medan. Then randomly selected two classes of four classes. The first experimental class were treated by problem-based learning model with assisted Autograph and the second experimental grade treated by problem-based learning model with assisted Geogebra. Data analysis was performed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and two lanes. The research shows that: (1) The increasing of mathematical concept understanding abilities students through problem-based learning model assisted Autograph better than the increasing of mathematical concept understanding abilities students through problem-based learning model assisted Geogebra. (2) There is no Interaction between learning and early math ability of student mathematical concept understanding ability.
