The quality of teacher service is an important element related to achieving national education goals and developing the whole Indonesian person. The initial survey of the quality of service of Civil Servant teachers in Senior High Schools in Bogor Regency has not achieved optimal results. Therefore, the quality of teacher service is interesting to study. This study aims to find efforts on how the quality of teacher service can be improved by examining the relationship between the quality of teacher service and the variables of teacher personality and organizational justice. The study used correlational statistical methods, and a SITOREM method analysis was conducted. The research analysis unit was Civil Servant teachers in Senior High Schools with a population of 279 and a sample of 103 teachers. The results of the study showed a positive relationship between teacher personality and the quality of teacher service, with a relationship strength of ry1 = 0.421 and there was a positive relationship between organizational justice and the quality of teacher service, with a relationship strength of ry2 = 0.297, so that the quality of teacher service can be improved through teacher personality and organizational justice. Abstract

Employee productivity remains a critical issue for organizations facing increasing competition and rapid environmental change. Prior studies indicate that employee competency plays a central role in enhancing productivity; however, the mechanisms through which this relationship operates remain fragmented. This study aims to systematically review international empirical research examining the influence of employee competency on employee productivity, with motivation and recruitment analysis as additional explanatory variables. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA model to ensure transparency and methodological rigor. Ten international journal articles published between 2015 and 2024 were selected from reputable databases, including Scopus and Google Scholar. The findings indicate that competency consistently demonstrates a strong positive relationship with employee productivity. Motivation frequently acts as a mediating mechanism that strengthens the competency–productivity link, while recruitment analysis functions as an upstream organizational practice that ensures competency alignment and productivity sustainability. This review contributes by integrating competency, motivation, and recruitment analysis into a unified conceptual framework for employee productivity. The study offers theoretical implications for human resource management literature and practical guidance for organizations seeking to enhance workforce productivity through strategic recruitment, competency development, and motivational systems.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of policy and competitiveness on service quality and its implications on customer satisfaction related to the Foreign Ship Agency Approval at the Directorate of Sea Traffic and Transport. The sea transportation sector plays an important role in Indonesia's international trade, with nearly 90% of the trade volume conducted by sea. The Foreign Ship Agency Approval Service is the initial entry point for foreign ships into Indonesian waters which has undergone digital transformation through the Sea Transportation Traffic Management Information System since 2016. This quantitative research involved 92 customer respondents who were selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling with the help of SmartPLS showed that policy had a significant influence on service quality by 64.4% and competitiveness contributed by 28.9%. Service quality has proven to be a full mediator in policy relations and competitiveness to customer satisfaction with the strongest contribution of 75.6%. The dimensions of policy compliance, technology infrastructure, service reliability, and information accessibility are the dominant factors that affect customer satisfaction. The findings of the research show the importance of improving service reliability and information technology integration between agencies to improve the efficiency of coordinating foreign ship agency approval services.

Abstract

This study examines corporate financial reporting as a strategic management communication practice rather than merely a technical disclosure of financial data. Drawing on Aristotle’s classical rhetorical framework (ethos, logos, and pathos) and integrating semiotic theories developed by Ferdinand de Saussure, Charles Sanders Peirce, Roland Barthes, Roman Jakobson, Charles Morris, and Umberto Eco, this research applies a semio-rhetorical approach to analyze how meaning, legitimacy, and corporate identity are constructed in financial discourse. The study analyzes Annual Reports and Sustainability Reports of 21 publicly listed manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2014 to 2024. Using NVivo 14 Plus, the research conducts systematic narrative coding to identify rhetorical appeals and semiotic sign systems—including icon, index, and symbol—across textual, numerical, and visual disclosures. The findings indicate that corporate financial reporting functions as a form of managerial meaning management. Ethos is constructed through governance narratives, ethical positioning, and ESG disclosures; logos is reinforced through the selective structuring and visualization of financial data to establish numerical legitimacy; and mythos, following Barthes’ theory of myth, emerges in corporate narratives emphasizing resilience, innovation, and national contribution. Jakobson’s communicative functions and Morris’s pragmatic semiotics further demonstrate how financial language operates beyond information delivery to shape stakeholder interpretation, while Eco’s concept of the open text explains the interpretive flexibility of financial reports across different audiences. This study introduces the Financial Semio-Rhetorical Model (FSRM) as a conceptual contribution that synthesizes classical rhetoric and multi-layered semiotic theory to explain how financial reporting operates as a symbolic and strategic management tool. The findings contribute to management science by demonstrating that financial reports are not neutral representations, but discursive instruments through which organizations manage perception, legitimacy, and trust in emerging capital markets.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how career advancement and the work environment affect worker motivation and how that affects performing at the Main Branch Office of Bank Jambi. This study employed a survey method together with a descriptive and quantitative methodology. The 59 workers of Bank Jambi's Central Head Office made up the population in this study, and the entire population was used as a sample (saturated sample). Questionnaires created using the indices of each variable were distributed in order to collect data, and their legitimacy and dependability were examined. In order to investigate the causal link within factors and the function of work motivation as a contributing variable, the data analysis employed PLS (partial least squares) analysis with the aid of SmartPLS software. The findings demonstrated that worker work motivation was positively and significantly impacted by career growth and the workplace. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that work motivation significantly and favorably affects worker performing. Additionally, the indirect impact test results showed that work motivation acted as a Intermediary variable within the work environment and advancement in career and worker performing. The study's conclusions show that a supportive workplace and a transparent, long-lasting career advancement program can boost worker motivation, which in turn affects productivity. In order to sustainably boost worker performing, Bank Jambi's Main Head Office is anticipated to keep bolstering its HRM policies, which are focused on enhancing the workplace and career advancement.
