Abstract

In the increasingly globalized landscape of higher education, the superior performance of lecturers has become a primary pillar of institutional excellence. However, lecturers face unique challenges in the form of adaptation pressures and complex multicultural dynamics. This study comprehensively examines a model of the determinants of superior lecturer performance by positioning resilience, cultural adaptation, and multicultural organizational culture as predictor variables. Furthermore, this research investigates the mediating role of training and career development as crucial mechanisms that transform individual and organizational assets into superior performance. Adopting a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, this study involved 30 lecturers from higher education institutions in Jakarta as participants. Primary data were acquired using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to validate the hypothesized model. The main finding of this study reveals a mechanism that differs from what was assumed: the influence of resilience, cultural adaptation, and multicultural organizational culture on superior performance does not occur directly. Crucially, the mediation analysis shows that career development serves as the sole essential and significant linking mechanism. A full mediation effect was found, implying that the influence of the three predictor variables is significantly channeled through lecturers' perceptions of institutional support for long-term career growth. Conversely, training was not proven to be a mediator or a direct predictor of performance. This study enriches the human resource management literature in higher education by highlighting career development as a central pathway to superior performance. The practical implications for higher education leaders are clear: recruiting resilient and adaptive lecturers is not enough; to actualize their potential into tangible performance, institutions must strategically build and provide a transparent and supportive career development system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and evaluate the implementation of the e-procurement system in the operations of PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PT PTK) vessels, as well as the role of human resources (HR) in optimizing the application of this system. The research also explores the factors that influence the success of e-procurement implementation, both from the internal side of the company, such as good management and HR management, and from the external side, including supporting technological infrastructure and policies. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and NVivo 12 software for data analysis. The research duration was 3 (three) months through interviews with informants consisting of the Procurement Manager, ICT Manager, Vessel Procurement and Operations Coordinator, SmartGEP Manager, and six HR employees involved in the implementation and management of the e-procurement system, totaling 10 participants, this research delves into the various challenges and solutions in implementing e-procurement in the vessel operations of PT PTK. The analysis results show that the implementation of e-procurement has increased efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the procurement of goods and services. However, there are still challenges related to HR adaptation and technological infrastructure. This research contributes to the development of e-procurement theory, particularly in the maritime industry context, and provides practical recommendations to enhance HR capacity in managing a more effective and sustainable e-procurement system.

Abstract

This study analyzes the socio-economic impact of the Universal Postal Service (Layanan Pos Universal/LPU) operated by PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) under the Public Service Obligation (PSO) scheme. A quantitative framework combining counterfactual analysis, Local Multiplier 3 (LM3), and input–output analysis was developed to assess benefits for the public, government, and MSMEs. In 2024, a government subsidy of IDR 392 billion generated IDR 1.88 trillion in travel cost savings, contributed 0.238% to GDP through social assistance distribution, and supported MSME output with a 17.5% contribution per 1% national growth. The findings highlight LPU’s strategic value for sustainable, benefit-based funding.

Abstract

Character education is a key pillar in fostering sustainable academic motivation amidst the challenges of moral degradation and low student engagement in vocational schools. This study aims to analyze the influence of character education on the academic motivation of students at State Vocational High School (SMK) 15 Bandung, focusing on the dimensions of responsibility, integrity, and discipline in the context of vocational learning. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing an explanatory survey method with 397 student respondents from four expertise programs: Social Work, Hospitality, Culinary, and Visual Communication Design. Data were collected through a Likert-scale-based questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4 software. The results showed that character education had a positive and significant effect on students' academic motivation. Character values were proven to strengthen students' self-efficacy, learning persistence, and goal orientation through increased self-regulation and perceptions of educational responsibility. These findings confirm the principles of self-determination theory and social-cognitive theory, which suggest that character-based learning can increase intrinsic motivation through the interaction between personal, social, and cognitive factors. This research makes theoretical contributions to the development of an integrative character-motivation model and offers practical implications for teachers and policymakers in designing learning experiences that foster student responsibility, independence, and overall well-being.

Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally changed the way employees are managed and how companies strategize. In Indonesia, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the level of readiness to utilize technology remains low due to limited financial resources, a limited understanding of digital technologies, and restricted access to technology facilities. This study seeks to combine three main theories: “Resource-Based View (RBV), Dynamic Capabilities Theory (DCT), and Social Cognitive Theory (SCT)” to explain the role of HR readiness in improving company performance in the digital era. This study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, collecting articles from sources such as Scopus, Emerald Insight, and SpringerLink, spanning the years 2019 to 2025. The results indicate that HR readiness acts as a bridge between strategic resources, the company's adaptive capabilities, and social learning behaviors. The combination of dynamic capabilities, digital leadership, and self-confidence in the face of digital change provides a sustainable competitive advantage. This study concludes that to succeed in digital transformation, companies must implement a human-centered approach that integrates strategy, technology, and human resource development.

Abstract

This article examines the effect of the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard and financial literacy on the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Using a systematic analysis in the form of a literature review from recent studies, this article reveals that the Balanced Scorecard and financial literacy significantly contribute to improving the performance of MSMEs. The Balanced Scorecard provides a comprehensive framework for performance measurement through four perspectives: finance, customer, internal processes, and learning & growth, enabling MSMEs to translate strategies into operational actions. Financial literacy empowers MSME owners with essential knowledge in financial management, including budgeting, savings, credit management, and investment decisions. This article identifies research gaps in the integrated implementation of the two concepts and proposes future research directions. The findings show that the combination of strategic performance measurement tools with increasing financial literacy creates a synergistic effect on the sustainability and competitiveness of MSMEs. This article contributes to management theory by bridging the Resource-Based View and strategic management perspectives, while offering practical implications for policymakers and practitioners of MSMEs.

Abstract

To determine the optimality of implementing a Result-Oriented Role Matrix (RORM) task allocation in achieving an organization's vision and mission, transformational leadership style and employee behavior are essential for the effectiveness of such implementation. A transformational leader, with the ability to provide inspiration, motivation, and intellectual stimulation, can create a conducive work environment for a matrix system that demands high collaboration and accountability. Aspects of employee behavior, such as initiative, adaptability, and commitment to team goals, are also examined as supporting factors in implementing RORM-based task allocation in a measurable manner. The RORM concept is an approach in a matrix format that allocates tasks based on specific roles and maps responsibilities to avoid overlap. This research employs a quantitative approach with a causal-associative method. This approach was chosen to test the cause-and-effect relationship between independent and dependent variables. The research design is explanatory, aiming to explain the extent to which Transformational Leadership Style and Employee Behavior influence the success of the Implementation of Role-Based Output Matrix Task Division. The results indicate that transformational leadership and positive employee behavior significantly support the effectiveness of task division within a matrix structure, particularly in enhancing coordination and achieving investment objectives. This study affirms the importance of developing inspirational leadership and proactive employee behavior to optimize organizational performance within a matrix context. The practical implication is the necessity for leadership training and the enhancement of a collaborative work culture to support the implementation of matrix structures in government agency environments.
