Abstract

Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are rights born of human intellectuals that have economic value. HKI can be a source of higher education funding. The Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) has a HKI Center managed by the ITK LPPM (Institute for Research and Community Service). At this time, the Intellectual Property Rights Center is still not equipped with an information system for its management. The management and registration process is still carried out via email, Google Forms, and Google Sheets. HKI Centers do not yet have a system that can manage HKI Centers automatically. Thus, it is necessary to develop a Patent Management Information System (MIS) as will be discussed in this study. SIM was developed using the Personal Extreme Programming (PXP) method. The development of a patent license is expected to help simplify the process of registering and managing patents at ITK. HKI has been carried out in 5 iterations with 14 user stories. The Patent SIM implements the designs made at the design stage. Implementation is done by using the concept of Model View and Controller (MVC). Conclusions are drawn in each iteration after implementation is done. Deployment is carried out on a patent license by uploading the system to the ITK server. Patent SIM can be accessed live using the ITK network with the address hki.itk.ac.id. The system is handed over to the product owner after deployment. The development ends by conducting user training and surveys on users in each role.

Abstract

Perovskite has developed as a photovoltaic material. Its power conversion energy has reached 22,1%. One of the perovskite materials was perovskite with methylammonium cation. But, the material has low thermal stabilization, so it needs to evolve by switching cations like cesium. Hence, further research is necessary to compare the electronic structure of both perovskite material to understand how efficiency increase by changing its cation using computational material methods. The computation was done using the ab-initio method with Density Functional Theory (DFT) formulation, Generalized-Gradient Approximation (GGA) as XC functional, and electron-ion core interaction modeled by pseudopotential (PP) relativistic data. The computational results show that MAPbI3 and CsPbI3 have direct band gaps of 1,64 eV and 1,46 eV. The cation switching from MA to Cs has decreased band gap value and generated electron-hole couples, represented by the curvature of the density of states (DOS).

Abstract

Currently, there is a significant decrease in both the quantity and quality of Green Open Space (RTH), which impacts reducing the quality of the urban environment. The destruction of the buffer zone in the form of green open space has reduced water absorption into the ground, thus impacting the occurrence of floods. This study aims to identify the infiltration capability of green open space affected by floods in Balikpapan City. The main variables used in this study are the distribution of green open spaces and the distribution of flood locations; the analytical method used in this study is the overlay. Based on the research results, results can see that the flood-affected Public Green Open Space has an area of 477.1506 hectares. The number of Public Green Open Spaces affected by flooding is 65 units, with the type of Public Open Space covering urban forests, median road bodies, cemeteries, tourism/sports green open spaces, river borders, and city parks.

Abstract

The application of magnetic levitation that is currently developing is on land transportation in the form of maglev trains.Magnetic levitation is a system that uses an electromagnetic field to work against the force of gravity. The common point in application the magnetic levitation is used is the lack of contact and thus no friction this increases efficiency and system life. Magnetic levitation technology is still developing today. The magnetic levitation ball requires a good control method to maintain the ball's position on the mat against the earth's surface. This research implements Hybrid Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control with fuzzy as a control system on magnetic levitation ball. The research for magnetic levitation ball uses Auto Tuning PID and Fuzzy–Takagi Sugeno controls. In the PID system, an auto-tuning system is carried out on simulink MATLAB R2019, and in fuzzy the function is designed to store input in the form of error (e) and delta error (de) while the function displays output in the form of effective height distance. Then defuzzification on fuzzy uses the Center of Area (COA) method. In magnetic levitation research, objects can experience ideal service conditions at a distance of 0.006 m from the end of the solenoid. in the transfer function test to reach a steady state, the risetime is 0.007817 s, the overshoot is 157.051%. then the PID tuning test to reach a steady state obtained a risetime of 0.214371 s, an overshoot of 0.460%. and in the fuzzy-PID hybrid test to reach steady state, the risetime is 0.044902 s and the overshoot is -0.357%.

Abstract

Fault in the power system can pose a hazard not only to the equipment but also to the people working near it. Disturbances that can arise range from a short circuit that causes a spark, to a short circuit that can cause an arc flash. The arc hazard level can be estimated to determine the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that must be used by humans when working in electrified areas. In addition to the PPE level, arc current values can also be used to determine the safe distance between equipment and people. This research collects data on a distribution system of 65 buses which are the main distributors near the load, so their reliability must be high. System protection uses over current relay (OCR) and ground fault relay (GFR) to protect the system from 3-phase and 1-phase short circuit fault. The simulation results show that OCR and GFR can protect the system from short circuit disturbances that are close to the relay location. The higher the proximity to the source, the higher the PPE level and the safe distance between humans and electrical equipment.

Abstract

The role of green open space in urban areas is very important to reduce the saturation of urban communities. In addition to ecological functions, green open spaces are also important for the community to carry out socio-cultural, aesthetic, and economic interactions. Therefore, the government stipulates by law that each city must set aside 30% of its area for green open space (RTH) in its regional plans. Mojokerto has changed its function from year to year, such as agricultural land, which has changed its designation into residential areas, buildings, and industrial areas, as well as roads. In order to prevent uncontrolled land use change and a lack of attention to green open space in the future, it is necessary to carry out an analysis of land requirements in the Green Open Space (RTH) area in the Mojokerto region.

Abstract

Humans and the environment are two things that cannot be separated. Human activities require a setting or container for activities in the form of space. Various human activities are interrelated in one activity system. The container where humans carry out their activities also has a system which then the linkages of this container form a spatial layout, in this case the landscape or outer space of Buildings E, F and G, Kalimantan Institute of Technology Campus. Humans can be affected by the environment they are in and the environment can be influenced and shaped by the humans who are in it. Positive interactions between humans and the environment must be developed in the Kalimantan Institute of Technology Campus environment, so that there is harmonious harmonization between the campus environment and the academic community. Formation of a harmonious territory between humans and the environment is needed to support teaching and learning activities, interactions between campus people, to the needs of each individual such as enjoying the scenery, breathing fresh air, generating motivation, and giving a sense of enthusiasm every day. Behavior and territory formation will differ based on the reasons for the perpetrators of activities coming to campus to study or teach; the area being visited; social interaction between fellow students, students and teaching staff, as well as between lecturers; and time related. Interaction between members of the community has occurred since entering the outer space of Buildings E, F, and G which are located closest to the gates of the Kalimantan Institute of Technology Campus. With this, behavior and the occurrence of territory formation have occurred since entering the area outside of Buildings E, F, G of the Kalimantan Institute of Technology. The aim of the research is to identify the territory and behavior of students and lecturers in the outer space around Buildings E, F and G of the Kalimantan Institute of Technology. The method used in this study is a data collection method with a mapping technique based on behavior or behavior mapping. It was found that behavior is related to comfort, safety, health, accessibility, and social with environmental management recommendations.

Abstract

Students need space as a place to gain knowledge and broader insights. Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) is a campus or a place for students to gain knowledge and improve their soft skills with high quality. However, this has not been fully supported by good accommodation. Students are not satisfied with the accommodation provided, such as the small canteen size, which does not have a waiting room. This paper tries to discuss this phenomenon by raising a case to identify the types of territory and territorial behavior in the F ITK Building, namely the inner space created by the occupants and the space used by the occupants as an effort to fulfill their daily activities and intends to obtain design recommendations. room in Building F ITK. The approach to analysis emphasizes the need for an understanding based on an explanation of an issue or event so that it can further study the complexity of the relationship between humans, the environment, and behavior. The data collection method used was observation (place-centered mapping) and distributing questionnaires to students who use the room in Building F ITK. In addition, interviews were also conducted to dig deeper into the trends in the results of the questionnaire. This study's results are expected to optimize the need for inner space, which has been the center of student activity. The form of optimizing the use of space is described in the design recommendations in accordance with the behavioral tendencies and territories of students as space users.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology causes humans to provide a large amount of energy, especially electrical energy. One of the new renewable energy sources that is still under development is a piezoelectric-based energy harvester. Piezoelectric itself is a material that has an electric polarizing effect that occurs in certain materials when the material is given a mechanical stress. The potential difference measured across the piezoelectric material is proportional to the applied pressure. This study aims to examine the prototype of a piezoelectric-based micro energy generator using different loadings on ceramics. This research was carried out by making a prototype on a 30x30 cm2 ceramic, and using a piezoelectric in the form of a PZT type. The method used in this research is measuring the voltage of each configuration variation in the piezoelectric circuit. Retrieval of stress data was done by dropping a load of 3 kg, 6 kg and 9 kg for each variation to be tested. The distance between the piezoelectric position and the center of mass affected the resulting voltage, each additional load would cause an increase in voltage, and a series circuit produces a greater voltage than a parallel circuit

Abstract

An unmanned aircraft (UAV) is an aircraft that does not require a crew on board in its operation. This type of aircraft is widely used as a remote monitoring tool such as monitoring disaster sites, monitoring plantation areas, monitoring forests to monitoring enemy areas carried out by the military. For this reason, a study of the adhesive strength required in the connection of unmanned aircraft is needed, such as ribs, spars, skins. From the results of this study, it was found that the mechanical strength of epoxy adhesives depends on several factors such as manufacturer, epoxy content, and operating temperature. The hypothesis of the strength of the epoxy experiment results used by Pustekbang LAPAN ranged from 2,400.4 + 190.6 to 9,664.2 + 1,769.6 psi at room temperature.
