Abstract

The short film Kacau, Aku Rindu depicts the mental struggle experienced by students in their final semester, who are often hampered by anxiety related to academic tasks and homesickness. These emotions can interfere with their concentration in completing their final project, which is the culmination of their academic journey. Based on real-life experiences, the film emphasizes the importance of social support from peers in helping students cope with emotional distress and maintain focus on their studies. With a strong narrative and immersive visuals, the film invites viewers to be more sensitive to mental health issues among college students and understand the importance of social support in dealing with them. The thoughtful production, both technically and narratively, aims to raise awareness about the importance of mental health on campus and open up space for further discussion on the issue.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of stem pruning on chili pepper plants (Capsicum frutescens L.) on plant height growth, number of productive branches, and fruit weight. The study was conducted using an experimental method with a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of two treatments, namely without pruning (control) and stem tip pruning, each with 21 sample plants. Data analysis was performed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results showed that stem pruning shortened the plants to an average of 69.14 cm, lower than the control at 132.91 cm, but was able to increase the number of productive branches to an average of 25.95 branches, much higher than the control at 5.86 branches. The average fruit weight of the treated plants was also greater, although not statistically significantly different.

Abstract

This article discusses the process of designing illustrations for a Trading Card Game (TCG) concept titled Myth Warriors, which features the theme of Nusantara mythology. The purpose of this work is to create an entertainment medium that simultaneously introduces the cultural richness of Indonesia through the visualization of local mythological characters. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the author conducted observations to adapt mythological characters into illustrations and visual identities that are appealing to children and teenagers. The design results demonstrate that the combination of cultural elements and modern visual styles can serve as an effective educational and entertainment tool. Through this project, it is hoped that the Myth Warriors card game design can become an alternative medium that combines entertainment and cultural education, and contribute to the preservation of local culture through a creative and relevant visual approach for the current generation.

Abstract

Pollution is a serious problem faced by humans because it can harm ecosystems and human health. Pollution generally occurs due to human activities that can damage ecosystems, such as industry, transportation, and waste. Understanding about pollution needs to be introduced early, especially to elementary school students, so that they have environmental awareness from an early age. Learning about pollution requires media that is interesting and easily understood by children. One effective solution is the use of interactive multimedia in the learning process. Interactive multimedia combines elements of text, images, audio, video and animation packaged in one interesting media. This media not only conveys information, but also allows students to interact directly with learning materials. Through the design of interactive multimedia about pollution, the learning process becomes more fun, communicative, and educational. With the existence of interactive multimedia as a learning media about pollution, it is hoped that students can understand and implement material about pollution into their daily lives and participate in preventing pollution.

Abstract

Fast technological developments have brought various conveniences to everyday life. However, behind these conveniences, there are serious challenges in the form of increasing dependence on gadgets, especially among teenagers and young adults. Excessive use of devices has a significant impact on psychological, social, and cognitive aspects. This study offers a solution through a visual communication design approach by designing a mobile application with UI/UX design. The design process was carried out using the Design Thinking method, which consists of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Gamification was applied as a strategy to increase user motivation, along with the application of the Laws of UX in the creation of the work. This study project produced four UI/UX design pages: home, add activity, statistics, and profile. The app achieved an average success rate of 98.66%, an average missclick rate of 49.8%, and an average time of 41.16 seconds after being tested on 15 users. This study project demonstrates the importance of implementing UI/UX principles in app development.

Abstract

This design discusses the application of good morals to fellow friends through picture storybooks for early childhood, focusing on a book entitled “Si Rubah Tukang Usil”. This book tells the story of a fox who likes to be nosy to other forest dwellers and aims as an educational medium for early childhood in instilling good morals to fellow friends. The positive impact of this storybook is expected to strengthen good moral values, especially in the social context in the child's environment. This research also confirms the importance of educational media based on illustrated stories as an effective tool for teaching morals to children, because they more easily understand positive messages through interesting and illustrative narratives.

Abstract

A logo redesign is a strategic step in strengthening brand awareness for a business. Warung Pejalan, a coffee shop and literacy community based in Surakarta, faces challenges in establishing a consistent and communicative visual identity. This study aims to redesign the logo of Warung Pejalan as an effort to enhance a more relevant and adaptive visual identity, particularly targeted at young audiences and the local community. The method used is a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation, analyzed using SWOT techniques. The final output consists of a new logo design and its implementation across primary media, accompanied by a visual perception survey of potential consumers. It is expected that the result will provide a visual solution that strengthens the brand’s image and positioning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of financial inclusion, financial access, and financial attitude on business growth and the welfare of UMKM in Jambi City. Using a quantitative approach and SmartPLS software for data analysis, the research examines how these financial factors contribute to business development and overall well-being. The findings reveal that all three financial variables financial inclusion, access, and attitude have a positive and significant impact on both business growth and the welfare of MSME actors. Moreover, business growth plays a mediating role, meaning it acts as a crucial bridge that strengthens the relationship between financial factors and welfare outcomes. In other words, as UMKM grow, the positive effects of good financial practices become more evident in improving entrepreneurs' quality of life. These results highlight the importance of promoting financial literacy and access among small business owners. Therefore, it is recommended that government bodies and financial institutions actively support financial inclusion programs, improve financial access, and nurture a healthy financial attitude. Such efforts are essential to ensure the sustainable growth of UMKM and their meaningful contribution to the local economy.

Abstract

Digitalization has become a primary necessity for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to thrive and grow in the digital era. In the city of Cilegon, many MSMEs still rely on traditional methods, which causes them to lag slightly behind in the digital market. Through this community service activity, training and assistance were provided on utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in various business aspects, such as digital marketing, financial management, and product branding. The solution offered was AI education tailored to the specific needs of business owners. The results showed an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in using technology to support operations and enhance the competitiveness of local products. In conclusion, the use of AI contributes positively to encouraging the digital transformation of MSMEs, improving business efficiency, and sustainably expanding market reach.

Abstract

Music videos have evolved into an essential medium for building visual identity and promotional strategy for musicians, especially in today’s highly competitive digital era. This article discusses the design process of the Sirna music video as a promotional medium for FLINT, an independent artpop band from Jakarta. The main problem faced by FLINT is the lack of representative visual promotional media, which hampers the delivery of their artistic image to the audience. In this study, the production process was carried out through three stages: pre-production, production, and post-production. The focus is placed on the application of cinematographic strategies and visual storytelling to create a visual narrative that aligns with the emotional tone of the song. The result is a 4-minute-47-second video that combines monochromatic aesthetics, expressive dance movements, motion blur effects, and visual symbolism to represent the theme of loss. This work demonstrates that music videos can serve as an effective medium to strengthen brand image, build emotional engagement with audiences, and enhance the visibility of independent musicians through digital distribution.
