Abstract

The economic growth in Indonesia has increased significantly, positioning Indonesia as the 4th largest economy after China, India, and Malaysia. This is also accompanied by national retail sales reaching a total of Rp6,044 trillion. One example of a retail business in Indonesia is Supermarket XYZ, which operates in Indonesia and sells essential items such as sugar, eggs, butter, and others. This research discusses an issue that exists in Indonesia, for example, Supermarket XYZ. The supermarket faces a problem with its employees struggling to determine the appropriate product layout based on consumer purchasing behavior. The market basket analysis method is used in this research to assist Supermarket XYZ's employees in determining the product layout. Transaction data is collected through internet searches, specifically on the Kaggle website. The data is then processed using the market basket analysis method, both manually and with the aid of the RapidMiner tool, to ensure the validity of the calculations. Once obtained, the results are implemented into a program to provide predictions for product placement layout. The research findings show that out of the 10 most purchased products by consumers, the top four products are chocolate, apples, bread, and ice cream. Furthermore, the suitable product combinations for layout placement yield 3 combinations: chocolate placed near apples with a support rate of 23%, chocolate placed near bread with a support rate of 22%, and chocolate placed near ice cream with a support rate of 21%.

Abstract

Boarding houses or commonly known as boarding house, is a temporary residence for students who are still in college. The quantity of boarding houses with several criteria offered in the area of Kalimantan Institute of Technology km.15 Balikpapan, makes them to be considered by the students to determine their choices. These excessive alternatives cause the students to visit those boarding houses beforehand to know the criteria each boarding house has and offers. The more boarding house information obtained, the more confused the students feel in deciding which boarding house fits the needs and wants. Therefore, to overcome this problem, a study is conducted, entitled “Decision Support System for Boarding House Selection in the Area of Kalimantan Institute of Technology Balikpapan Accompanied by Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) Method”. Based on the survey in testing the decision support system for selecting the boarding house, several results were obtained, such as blackbox testing for the system and the results of the user perspective percentage of 96%.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), plays a role in improving people's welfare and incresing bruto income. With the support of IT for running MSMEs, it has proven to help the sustainability of MSMEs, especially during a pandemic. For this reason, we conducted a research by building a mobile applications to support MSME. This application has a minimum specification limit using Android 10 (Android Q) version. The application has the following functions (Silvanie et al., 2023) detects the current location based on GPS and Android location, (Wika Undari, 2021) displays the user's map from Google Maps and shows the user's position, (Rambe et al., 2022) retrieves UMKM data either briefly or in detail based on the closest distance to user position,(Alimuddin, 2021) the feature of registering as a member with more authority such as giving a rating. The SDLC Waterfall method is used to build the application. Calculation of the distance between the user and the MSME location is done by the Haversine formula. From the results of black box testing and the feasibility testing of the beta version, it is summarized as follows: 33% consider the application quite feasible, 66.7% consider the application feasible, 62.5% willingly to spend money to subscribe and 37.5% do not want to spend money.

Abstract

Annually, the Central Bureau of Statistics, known in Indonesia as BPS or Badan Pusat Statistik, conducts a routine Data Needs Survey (Survei Kebutuhan Data or SKD) to identify data requirements and the level of consumer satisfaction with the quality of data produced by BPS. However, SKD respondents are limited to consumers who have received services from the Integrated Statistics Services (Pelayanan Statistik Terpadu or PST) unit at BPS within a specific year. To gather opinions from the wider public accessing BPS data through channels other than the PST unit, an alternative approach is necessary – particularly through social media, specifically Twitter. This study employs Twitter data to analyze public sentiment regarding BPS data. To understand the distribution of topics discussed within the community about BPS data indicators, topic modeling has been employed. The sentiment analysis process utilizes IndoBERT, an Indonesian language Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) model. For topic modeling, the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) method is utilized. The results of sentiment analysis during the period 2020 - 2022 reveal that tweets related to BPS data generally convey a neutral sentiment. Meanwhile, the topic modeling process generates a range of topics, with variations observed in each year. Throughout 2020 - 2022, the most frequently discussed topics align with the statistical data from the 2020 - 2022 Data Needs Survey's data requirements section, reflecting the diversity of data needs.

Abstract

The research conducted refers to the problems found when the authors made observations at MTsN 6 Agam.This is motivated by difficulties in handling queues during the process of borrowing books, the limitednumber of printed books in the library so that they cannot borrow and read books. There is limited time forborrowing books at the library and it takes quite a long time in the process of borrowing books. Given theseproblems, the authors designed a mobile-based e-Library application at MTsN 6 Agam. The purpose of thisresearch is to produce a mobile-based e-library application that can be used properly, practically, andeffectively. The author uses the “Research and Development”(R&D) or development method. Thedevelopment model used is the prototype. The results of this study are in the form of a mobile-based e-libraryapplication with the Android operating system that can be used by students and teachers wherever andwhenever they are. The results of the validity test were carried out by three expert examiners, namely expertsgetting a value of 0.91 with valid criteria, then the results of the practicality test conducted by two examiners,namely getting a score of 98% with very practical criteria. Furthermore, the results of the effectiveness testconducted by fifteen examiners, namely students at MTsN 6 Agam, obtained an average score of 0.89 witha very high category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to make it easier to access data and make reports needed by those who need it. The method used in this study is the waterfall model, which begins with research on the current system, design, coding, and maintenance of archive management systems so that archive management information and archive management reports can run quickly, precisely and accurately. The results obtained from this study are regarding the design of a mooring information system that is integrated with a database to support the process of managing ship arrivals and departures easily, quickly, and accurately. In making a ship's arrival and departure certificate, it can be documented into a database, so that it can make it easier if you want to report ship arrival and departure data. The conclusion that can be drawn from this information system is that archive management can be well documented because it is equipped with a database, storage has become a single unit, can reduce redundancy or duplicate data, can display required mooring management information so that it can facilitate officers in making arrival management reports. and ship departure.

Abstract

The Akhlaqu Application is a web-based Islamic learning platform used by Al-Falah Integrated Islamic Elementary School to facilitate the recording and reporting of students’ activities in developing their memorization. This research aims to assess the level of user satisfaction with the Akhlaqu Application using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The results showed a high level of usability, measured by a System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 89.7, indicating a “very good” quality application that meets high usability standards. In addition, the implementation of text indexes on MongoDB has a positive impact on the speed of transaction data search, especially on complex data searches, improving the efficiency and responsiveness of the application. The implications of this research involve recommendations to continue to improve the usability and performance of the Akhlaqu Application, by maintaining the use of MongoDB index techniques as a reliable solution for optimizing the database. The study concludes that the Akhlaqu Application is an effective tool for managing students’ memorization and recommends further improvements to enhance its usability and performance.

Abstract

Expert System is a system created by imitating the performance or thought patterns of humans, which is input into an application system with the aim of helping to facilitate human work as done by experts. Android-based Expert System can help users analyze what diseases are present in the body. Expert System for Disease Diagnosis Through General Check Up Based on Android Mobile Application at Bojong Medika Clinic is a mobile-based application system that can be used as a platform for users to record, store medical records, automatically process data from general check-ups, and remind them to do further general check-ups in an effort to make everyone using this application more concerned about their health and avoid various diseases. This application is created using Kodular and supported by Air Table as its database, with additional tools using Firebase. The system development method used is the Waterfall Model, starting from the analysis stage, then followed by design, implementation, and finally testing of the application system.

Abstract

Technological developments in the field of agriculture are now expanding widely, various modern tools must be owned to assist farmers in cultivating plants. The owners of the chili plants do watering and fertilizing by collecting water or fertilizer and then giving it to the plants one by one. This is not a problem if the plant owner has free time. However, if the plant owner is busy with other things or is having business that makes the plant owner unable to care for the plant, then this becomes a problem because when the plant does not receive sufficient care, the plant will easily wither and die. Seeing the existing problems, this research will design a system that can automatically water and fertilize plants based on IoT with monitoring from an Android application. The design of this system uses an Arduino microcontroller as a controller, the nodeMCU esp2688 wifi module to send data from the sensor to the web server, a soil moisture sensor to determine soil moisture, a real time clock (RTC) for fertilization scheduling and a relay as an automatic switch on the water pump. This system aims to help the activities of farmers who still use physical force to water and fertilize plants. Abstract

Nur-Elfalah High School currently registers new prospective students manually, namely by coming directly to the school and filling out the registration form. In this way, sometimes queues often occur during registration, and when finding out initial information about parents or prospective students. having to spend time coming in person, this is considered less effective. Nur-Elfalah's New Student Admission (PPDB) is designed to be web-based using an internet network, prospective new students can view information related to the school online, can register online, making it easier to register and view information. Apart from that, by implementing the PPDB system, all registration data will be stored neatly in a database so that if necessary it is easy to search and display in report format. In designing the Information System for accepting new students (PPDB), the waterfall development method is used, where the system is developed in stages and continues to be refined on an ongoing basis. With the new student admission information system (PPDB), it is hoped that it will make it easier for prospective new students to view information and register at the Nur-Elfalah school. It is hoped that prospective new students can register easily anywhere and at any time, as long as the prospective students Just able to access the internet. By implementing this system, it is hoped that it will be able to help Nur-Elfalah school improve its services which will indirectly have an impact on increasing the number of prospective students
