Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of M. Natsir in Indonesian politics. In addition, to find out the role of political parties in Natsir's thinking and the impact of political parties in M. Natsir's political thought. The method used is the historical method. This method is used because to explore past data to find data that is free from prejudice, it must go through a critical analytical process and objectivity can be maintained. With this method, it can be found that Natsir's many efforts in formulating Islam as the basis of the state and his efforts to obtain justice in the development of a region. This was done of course because of the support from various groups, both civilian, military, and political parties such as the Masyumi Party and the Indonesian Socialist Party.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to look at how discipline, work motivation, and organizational commitment affect the performance of STAI Samora Pematangsiantar lecturers, either partially or concurrently. This study employs the dissemination of questionnaires as well as a quantitative method to research. Multiple linear regression analysis was utilized, as well as hypothesis testing (F-test, t-test, and coefficient of determination) (R2). In this study, 49 lecturers were used as a sample. The information in this study is based on primary sources. A questionnaire was used to gather information. The F-test was employed in conjunction with the t-test to test the hypothesis. The findings of the t-test of work discipline style have a significant impact on lecturer performance, motivation, and organizational commitment. Meanwhile, the F-test results, discipline and job motivation, as well as organizational commitment, all have an impact on lecturers' performance. According to the Coefficient of Determination (R2), X1, X2, and X3 account for 57.4% of the lecturer's performance, with the remaining 42.6 percent impacted by other variables.

Abstract

Museum is one of the institutions that store historical objects in the past which is intended to be exhibited to the general public. In general, the arrangement of exhibitions in museums is a part of the museum curator historiography who has its specific purpose. In addition, this study is intended to find out how the historiography is displayed in Museum Dirgantara Mandala Yogyakarta. Therefore, as an inductive reasoning study, it used methods of collecting data such as field observations, interviews and literature studies. In this case, observation and interviews are used to find out the primary data of this study. Finally, this study found that the historiography of the chronological room in Museum Dirgantara Mandala Yogyakarta is a part of nationalistic historiography, which its exhibition system mostly explained the greatness of the struggles events and the heroes itself.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the area of ethnic segregation in the city of Medan. Ethnic segregation  is a concentration area where ethnic groups live based on similar backgrounds. This paper uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a case study approach. Data collection through literature study methods, interviews, and participatory observations. In the city of Medan although many ethnicities mingle but in terms of the area of residence still tend to be compartmentalized in similar ethnic concentration areas. In the concept of a plural and plural city system such as Medan such ethnic living conditions  are considered less conducive. It should be in the plural and plural urban layout of each ethnicity that exists mingled by not expressing the symbols and background of the ethnicity. Thus creating a truly plural and plural social system in a complex social system.

Abstract

This research is based on the findings of problems in historical learning conducted by blended learning in class XII at SMA Negeri 16 Medan during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research also aims to describe the challenges of teaching and learning through blended learning during historical learning in class XII at SMA Negeri 16 Medan. This type of research is qualitative research through a descriptive approach. The results of the study illustrate the challenges experienced by educators and learners. The challenges of educators are teachers lacking knowledge in blended learning, difficulty in providing assessments on blended learning, ineffective learning time, educators' ability to use gadgets, limited facilities and infrastructure, while the problems felt by students are difficulty in adjusting, lack of interest in learners when learning blended learning, learners' learning achievements are low, some learners cannot afford internet packages and have difficulty in accessing the internet network.

Abstract

Experience which is something that involves developing students' awareness of an event. Information experience as student awareness in interacting with information and types of information both from access, sources and information media. Students who are referred to as the net generation have the characteristics of freedom, customization, scruncity, integrity, collaboration, entertainment, speed and innovation. The student's information experience will be studied intensely and in depth, as a natural process that will refer to the real life of the object or subject to be studied through observation and interviews. Observation of student activities on information behavior in meeting information needs through various media, both conventional media and digital media. The intensity of student interaction with devices or information channels has a significant influence on student information behavior. The information channels used by students also vary from conventional to digital based on the habits of students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the ROPES learning strategy in increasing students' learning motivation in learning history. This study used a qualitative and quantitative approach. The type of research design used in this research activity was classroom action research. The techniques used to collect data in this study include the main data collection techniques, namely: observation and test methods, while the supporting data collection techniques were interview and documentation methods. In this study, the data analysis used was quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis. Based on the results of the post-test and pre-test, it can be concluded that the ROPES learning strategy was effective in increasing students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the modernization of education that occurred at the Tebuireng pesantren during the Kyai Wahid Hasyim era. The problems raised in this study are: 1) how was the condition of the Tebuireng Islamic boarding school in 1934-1953; 2) how the modernization of the education system at the Tebuireng Islamic boarding school was; 3) Why the modernization of the Tebuireng Islamic boarding school education occurred in the changes in institutions and learning systems. The method used is the historical method which consists of four steps, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The limitation or focal point of this research is modernization at the time of Kyai Wahid Hasyim. The results showed that the modernization of the Tebuireng pesantren was carried out by Kyai Wahid Hasyim after returning from Mecca. Modernization is carried out so that santri can compete with the outside world, in order to contribute to the community, and as a form of improving general education in pesantren.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to determine the process of resolving agrarian conflicts and the process of inventorying and granting land certificates to farmers. The urgency of this paper can theoretically be an important part in the context of resolving agrarian conflicts that often occur in Indonesia. The method used is the historical method consisting of Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation and Historiography. Agrarian conflicts in Jenggawah District, Jember Regency occurred in 1969 and 1994-1995. The government is trying to find a solution through the implementation of agrarian reform by providing a policy for solving agrarian problems. Efforts to resolve the Jenggawah land conflict through agrarian reform are marked by a process of preparing for the implementation of an inventory, asset management and access arrangement. Asset management consists of redistribution and legalization of land. Access arrangements are carried out in order to improve the economy, add value and encourage entrepreneurial innovation on the subject of agrarian reform for Jenggawah farmers. Through this research, it can be concluded that agrarian reform can be one of the solutions for resolving land conflicts in Indonesia, especially in Jenggawah.

Abstract

History learning according to the 2013 curriculum has a goal, one of which is to develop historical skills (historical explanation) which is the basis for logical, creative, inspirational and innovative thinking skills. But the fact is that in schools there are still many historical subjects that are taught conventionally regardless of the learning objectives achieved, so the purpose of this research is the application of the Discovery learning model to improve historical explanation and student learning outcomes. The research location is at the KH. Agus Salim school in class XII IPS in the academic year 2021/2022. This research uses a CAR research design. The research was carried out for 2 cycles, namely cycle 1 and cycle 2. The data analysis used was quantitative and qualitative.
