<![CDATA[This study aims to see how the development of education in Tarutung during the Dutch Government. The method used is the Historical research method. The stages in the historical research method consist of four stages (heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography). The results of the study concluded that one of the backgrounds of the Dutch Government was to open educational institutions in Tarutung, one of which was so that the Batak people could accept the Dutch presence to control North Tapanuli. The development of education for the Batak people by the Dutch, only followed the renewal movement that had been carried out by the mission. The missionaries have managed to get close to the Batak people. Even the German mission managed to Christianize the Batak people, they helped the Dutch to take control of Tapanuli. In the late 19th to early 20thcenturies, several schools and hospitals were built in Tarutung by the Dutch government. The Batak people are getting to know the outside world more and more. The Batak people also know a lot of letters and know numbers. Many young men have received education, and some continue their education to Batavia.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the inculcation of the values of archipelago insight that is integrated into Civics learning through Civics class outing activities at SMA Plus AL-Azhar Medan. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research, namely research that is fundamental in nature and aims to describe or describe existing events or problems. The results showed that Civics class outing activities integrated into Civics learning aimed to foster and develop students to become good citizens, in addition to Civics learning to understand and be able to carry out their rights and obligations honestly and democratically in their lives as educated citizens. This is a very basic thing in Civics lessons that teach tolerance, tolerance and being able to respect each other. The form of outing class learning is in the form of community activities such as mutual cooperation around the school to get to know the archipelago's insights in social life.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to examine how women victims of infidelity and violence are constructed through news texts that determine the structure and meaning of the news presented in news stories on violence against women on iNews.id published on Friday, February 26, 2021 and Thursday, April 09, 2020 This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques used listening and note-taking techniques with the help of data collection tables. Data analysis was carried out with a description of Sara Mills' perspective analysis to see the position of the subject-object and the position of the writer-reader. Based on the research results, it can be said that from the news of infidelity and violence against women in the iNews.id media coverage, women are constructed as subjects, not as objects of exploitation. However, in its presentation, women are still depicted as marginal, weak, powerless and sensitive women. The media coverage of iNews.id positioned the reader as the subject of ideology. The reader is brought to the position of the narrator (the storyteller) so that the reader accepts it as reality.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the emergence of historical tours of the Siallagan court chair stone located in Siallagan Pindaraya Village. This study aims to see how the participation of local communities in the development of Siallagan tourism in Siallagan Pindaraya Village. The method used is observation and interviews with tourists and the surrounding community as well as using literature studies. From the results of the study concluded that the participation of local communities in this tourist attraction is very high. This is evidenced by the large number of community participation in developing tourist attractions by selling various souvenirs and providing supporting facilities for tourism activities such as: restaurants, accommodation (hotels/inns), and souvenir shops. And other participations, the community always applies Sapta Pesona Tourism in welcoming every tourist who comes to historical tourism objects in Siallagan Pindaraya Village.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the pattern of interpersonal communication between teachers and children with intellectual disabilities in class IX SLB C Muzdalifah Medan in increasing independence. This research uses SOR (Stimulus-Response) theory. The method used is descriptive qualitative and data collection techniques used include interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the pattern of interpersonal communication between teachers and children with intellectual disabilities in class IX at SLB C Muzdalifah Medan was using a lecture pattern (explanation pattern), question and answer pattern and media pattern. In addition to communication patterns, there is also a communication process carried out between the two, namely using the primary communication process and the secondary communication process. While the interpersonal communication patterns of teachers and students with mental retardation in class IX SLB C Muzdalifah Medan in increasing independence use self-reliance and self-development patterns. By applying a good pattern, the pattern of interpersonal communication between teachers and children with disabilities, especially mental retardation, goes well, effectively and competently.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper discusses the regional politics that occurred in the land of Deli and the Residency of East Sumatra during the Dutch colonial period. The formation of administrative areas is influenced by various conditions such as topography, culture, economy, and politics. The focus of the study in this paper lies in the political influence that shaped Deli and East Sumatra as part of the colonial administration in the Dutch East Indies region. The qualitative method is the tendency to discuss this historical study involving heuristics through various kinds of literature, criticisms, interpretations, and historiography. The study results show that the area known as North Sumatra today has started from the establishment of Deli as a sovereign territory, the emergence of various sultanates around it, to clustering in the administrative map of East Sumatra as part of the Dutch East Indies region.]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to find out the effectiveness of Instagram as a promotional medium in attracting visitors in coffee shop “Kopi Sadis”. Social media is currently the choice of many people as a means of promotion and marketing. One of the social media that some people use in promoting online businesses is Instagram. Instagram is an online media that makes it easier for its users in various ways, including marketing products and services. Kopi Sadis is one of the online businesses that utilizes Instagram media in marketing the products they sell. Starting from the types of drinks, food, to the atmosphere of the café they post on Instagram. This article uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The source of the data was obtained from interviews with the owner of Kopi Sadis, admin and also visitors of Kopi Sadis. The results showed that Instagram is very effective in attracting the interest of Kopi Sadis visitors in Medan. The interest in sadistic coffee has increased since it was first introduced through Instagram media.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the managerial creativity of school principals in improving the quality of learning at the Buddhist Foundation. The leadership of the principal greatly determines the progress of a school. The research used is descriptive qualitative research. Qualitative research methods are research methods to explore and understand the meaning that according to some individuals or groups of people comes from social or human problems. The results showed that maturity in mastering the theories and concepts of management and leadership requires integrated and continuous training and training. The content of the learning curriculum requires weighting on the theory and implementation of organizational management and leadership. That the success of education through the application of management in schools requires principals who have high managerial and professional integrity and democratic abilities in the decision-making process, especially regarding the managerial creativity of school principals.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to find out how the role of parental communication in online learning and to find out the communication barriers of parents in guiding children to learn online in Sei Merbau Village, Tanjung Balai City. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects in this study were elementary school children in Sei Merbau Village, Tanjung Balai City who were undergoing online learning. The object of this research is the role of parental communication. The results of this study concluded that the role of parents in guiding children online has increased as educators, facilitators, motivators, and influencers. Obstacles experienced by parents in guiding their children to learn online are difficult internet network access, the location of buying internet quota is far and the price is quite expensive, it is difficult to divide the time to work and guide children to learn online, the task materials given are many and difficult, and the lack of people's abilities. old in understanding the subject matter.]]>

<![CDATA[The formation of Bekasi Regency began when Bekasi residents tried to reject the existence of the United States of Indonesia or RIS. Bekasi residents demanded that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia be re-established and opposed the existence of Pasundan. This effort made Bekasi people's leaders, one of which was Kiai Haji Noer Ali, took part and played a role in changing the name of Bekasi Regency. Kiai Haji Noer Ali also played a role in fighting for the Bekasi Regency area to establish the At-Taqwa Islamic Boarding School. The method used in this study is the Historical Method which consists of four stages, with the data collection technique being a literature study. Literature research or literature study is a stage related to the method of collecting, reading and recording and processing library data as research material. The results of this study describe the educational background of Kiai Haji Noer Ali and his efforts in defending the land of Bekasi from the Dutch side to successfully build At-Taqwa Islamic Boarding School.]]>
