Journal of Appropriate Technology for Community Services (JATTEC) berisi hasil-hasil kegiatan pengabdian dan pemberdayaan masyarakat berupa penerapan berbagai bidang ilmu khususnya teknologi tepat guna. Jurnal ini sebagai wadah untuk mempulikasikan pengembangan teknologi yang digunakan dalam pengembangan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Abstract

Batu City is one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia. In addition to very diverse tourist destinations, Batu City also has cultural characteristics that are very close to the community so that it can be used as an identity. For this reason, this community service focuses on the development and preservation of cultural products found in Batu City. This program associates with the Paguyuban Sangga Braja. This association has a very high concern for cultural products, especially the traditional headband or known as udeng. Udeng designed by the community is based on the history, philosophy, topography and local wisdom of Batu City. Although this udeng has received recognition from the local government, but the information and public awareness about this udeng is still very lacking. In fact, this association expects that this product can be used as a characteristic of Batu City as a tourist city that has a cultural identity. To overcome this problem, the solution offered is to digitalize this batik pattern of udeng and the registration for copyright.

Abstract

The availability of clean water is a hope for the community to meet the needs of drinking sources and the availability of proper sanitation will prevent various diseases. So the government collaborates with villages in providing Community Based Drinking Water and Sanitation (PAMSIMAS). The PAMSIMAS program aims to increase the number of clean water facilities for communities in areas with low economic income levels. In the PAMSIMAS program in Tigaherang Village, Rajadesa District, Ciamis Regency, socialization steps are needed to the community to provide an understanding of clean water and sanitation, monitoring of clean water use and transparency of the PAMSIMAS program. To support its implementation, a Web-based Information System for Water Supply and Sanitation (PAMSIMAS) application design is proposed. This information system is expected to be able to optimize the performance and service of clean water for the community. Keywords: Community, PAMSIMAS Program (community based drinking water supply and sanitation), Information System.

Abstract

A reliable electric power system is needed in distributing electrical energy to customers, in the process of distributing electrical energy, interference in its distribution cannot be avoided, in general, electrical disturbances occur in underground channels, disturbance areas that are prone to and often occur usually at cable connections (Jointing). On cables that are insulated, the emergence of heat is something that must be considered. The current capacity of a cable is influenced by the characteristics of the cable components. Overheating will damage the insulation material and reduce the service life of the cable. The connection process must use the right and correct equipment and materials, to avoid insulation failure in the connection due to excessive heating on the connection which will result in a short circuit which will result in a shutdown of the electrical system. Increasing the skills of workers in the electricity sector is needed to reduce the risk of failure in the electrical system.Key words: cable jointing, insulation failure, skills

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, teaching and learning activities must be carried out online from home. The development of technology today really helps the online teaching and learning process, there are many tools / software that can be used. Tools / software commonly used in online teaching and learning activities are Ms. Word, Ms. Power Point, and Virtual Lab. Another impact of technological developments coupled with pandemic conditions has led to more interactions between humans being carried out online through internet intermediaries on cellphones or computers. Currently cellphones do not only function as a medium of communication, some work that was previously completed using a computer / laptop can now be completed using a smart phone. So that cellphones can be used for more positive activities and support the teaching and learning process, sharing is carried out with students through sharpening design creativity through mobile applications on smart phones. In this activity, students hone graphic design skills using the CANVA application to support the teaching and learning process. The enthusiasm of students is quite high, as evidenced by the work produced in the form of personal profile designs, extracurricular activities and logos. Students can practice well the material presented. The school welcomes this activity, and wants to form an extracurricular Graphic Design at SMA Dharma Wanita so that it becomes a forum for student creativity in graphic design.

Abstract

The source of water flow in rivers or irrigation canals has a relatively small flow rate of water, which can be used as a pico hydropower plant. One of the main components of a pico hydropower plant is a water wheel, a hybrid pico hydropowerplant is a combination of hydroelectric power and solar power. By utilizing the power of the water flow in a small river or ditch in Wukirsari hamlet, we designed a waterwheel that will convert the energy of motion into electrical energy. The solar panel system designer uses a 50 wp solar cell, a 300 W inverter, a 10 Ampere solar charger controller, and a 12 Volt, 32 Ah battery. The no-load test results on the performance of the single pinwheels and the performance of the double pinwheels at a water level of 37 cm get an average power of 3.2 W and 2.11 W. The resulting voltage is 6.72 V, the current is 0.46 A for a single mill, while for the double pinwheel the voltage is 5,26 , and the current is 0.38 A. From the experimental results, it is better if the single pinwheel and the double pinwheel are used. In a series of no-load solar panels fromPower test results, at 11.00 GMT+7 the highest power value was 33.25 W. The electricity generated by the pico hydro hybrid was used by the people of Wukirsari Hamlet as street lighting. Key words: water wheel, hybrid power, solar panels

Abstract

This mini-sharing activity was organized by the Faculty of Information Technology, Ciputra University Surabaya in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Ciputra University and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, State University of Surabaya. This training was conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic. This training is given to Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) group, especially Biology subjects because Biology Teachers need support for the use of online media in teaching, especially during this pandemi. Through MGMP group this activity was intended to reach not only one school but more schools so that it is will be expected to have a wider impact. Based on the results of the discussion, there are teachers who are not used to using online media, especially in terms of assessments through online quiz media for their students. After participating in this mini sharing, the teachers can immediately put the knowledge they have learned because this training was done using the hands-on method. Through mini sharing, teachers can get alternatives to use technology, Edmodo.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) called MARS Genuine Leather is one of the SMEs under the guidance of the Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) in the Sleman region, Yogyakarta. In 2018, MARS and 10 other SMEs in Sleman and Bantul Regency have involved in research with the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Islamic University of Indonesia regarding supply chain performance analysis using the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) Model. The results showed that MARS had the lowest supply chain value among the 5 SMEs in the Sleman region. Continuing the results of the research, improvements were made through Community Service activities regarding the implementation of 5S in MARS. the Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) of Sleman has provided several pieces of training on the implementation of 5S for SME owners. However, this training has not been applied directly to each IKM. Therefore, this service activity aims to provide hands-on training on the implementation of 5S at IKM MARS as well as one of the improvements that can be made to the results of previous supply chain performance analysis research. The results of this service are in the form of direct training guidance at IKM, videos of the first 3S implementation (Seiri, Seiso, Seiton), and a checklist form that can be used by IKM as an internal audit. The 5S knowledge and skills that have been applied in MARS are expected to help the enterprise to reduce waste as well as increase productivity in the future.

Abstract

Young people could learn and use technology in formal, informal and nonformal education effortlessly. As a legal nonformal education, homeschooling programs become more popular because the programs demonstrate some advantages, such as customized learning materials, personalized learning methods, and flexible learning schedules. However, some homeschooling communities face several problems related to digital literacy skill because of lack of teachers’ capacity and tools. To support digital literacy, a series of training has been conducted for teachers and students at Salihah Homeschool, Yogyakarta. It consisted of training of modern computer technology for teachers and multimedia training for students and parents. The second training taught students on how to make digital posters, videos, animations, and games related to Covid-19 pandemic. Survey showed half of the students were happy with the training activities. Furthermore, the most preferred lessons were animation and digital posters, while game and video tutorials were perceived difficult. Nevertheless, student participation showed a declining trend since the second day of training. Moreover, some parents expressed happiness with the training contents, but there were also parents who found difficulty as the parents were novice users. It implies future efforts to promote positive awareness of the ease of using IT and continuous monitoring to improve digital literacy.

Abstract

Kemiri Village has various kinds of livelihoods, one of which is a craftsman of besek weaving. Until now, besek craftsmen have only used traditional tools to split bambu into thinner strands. This takes a lot of time and effort in the process. Therefore it is necessary to innovate the bamboo splitting process by making a bambu splitting device for the bamboo splitting to run quickly so that the productivity of the besek woven craftsman can increase. The method of implementation consists of three stages used, the first stage is the design stage of the tool, the second stage is the stage of selecting materials and the last stage is the stage of making tools. Abstract

Tes swab merupakan standar baku penegakan diagnosis Covid-19. Pada tes ini, petugas medis melakukan pengambilan sampel dari area rongga antara hidung dan mulut bagian belakang. Proses pengambilan sampel ini idealnya dilakukan di laboratorium. Namun untuk mempercepat proses skrining, proses pengambilan sampel juga dilakukan di tempat umum. Proses pengambilan sampel swab bisa sangat beresiko karena mengingat pasien bisa bersin atau batuk dan menyebabkan droplet berterbaran di udara. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu ruangan yang mampu mencegah potensi penularan Covid-19 lewat droplet tersebut. Pada proyek ini, dirancang bilik tes swab Covid-19 untuk penggunaan di area terbuka. Bilik tes swab ini  dirancang dengan ukuran panjang 1 meter, lebar 1 meter, dan tinggi 2.1 meter sesuai antropometri orang Indonesia. Bilik ini dibuat menggunakan rangka alumunium dan dinding kaca. Selanjutnya, area bagian dalam bilik tes swab didesain sebagai ruang bertekanan negatif untuk mengurangi resiko infeksi melalui transmisi udara. Untuk menciptakan ruangan bertekanan negatif digunakan kipas exhaust dengan kapasitas 180 CMH (cubic meter hour). Lebih lanjut, bilik tes swab juga dilengkapi dengan sistem monitoring tekanan udara, suhu,.dan kelembaban. Parameter suhu dan kelembaban udara dimonitor dengan sensor DHT22, sedangkan tekanan udara menggunakan sensor D6F-PH0505AD3. Data sensor tersebut dibaca dengan menggunakan mikrokontroler Arduino Uno. Mikrokontroler tersebut membaca data kedua sensor secara periodik dan menampilkan pada LCD yang diletakkan di luar bilik sampel. Sistem monitoring akan memberikan peringatan berupa indikator LED apabila nilai tekanan udara di bawah setting yang ditentukan. Dari hasil pengukuran diketahui nilai akurasi tekanan, suhu dan kelembaban udara adalah sebesar 93,06%, 98,25%, dan 91,02%. Bilik sampel yang dibuat telah diimplementasikan di Puskesmas Gondomanan Yogyakarta.
