Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun alat absensi berbasis IoT (Internet of Things) dengan sensor sidik jari dan Arduino Uno di Laboratorium Teknik Informatika, Universitas Mataram. Sistem ini dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi pencatatan kehadiran mahasiswa dan staf. Menggunakan teknologi sidik jari, sistem ini lebih aman dan dapat diandalkan dibandingkan QR Code. Data absensi dikumpulkan secara real-time dan disimpan dalam sistem, memungkinkan pemantauan yang mudah oleh admin laboratorium. Model absensi ini mengidentifikasi pengguna melalui sensor sidik jari yang mencatat waktu kehadiran dalam database. Data absensi otomatis diunggah ke server untuk akses real-time oleh administrator. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem beroperasi dengan baik. Dari 10 percobaan, sistem berhasil melakukan absensi dengan baik. Dari uji coba selama 3 hari (25-27 Juni) dengan 34 responden, hasilnya: 0% sangat tidak setuju, 2.06% tidak setuju, 15.87% netral, 30.37% setuju, dan 51.75% sangat setuju. Kesimpulannya, sistem bekerja dengan baik dan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengelolaan absensi dan manajemen laboratorium, serta menjadi model bagi pengembangan sistem di lingkungan akademik. Sistem absensi sidik jari berbasis IoT ini diharapkan memberikan solusi efisien, aman, dan akurat dalam pencatatan kehadiran, mendukung kegiatan akademik dan manajemen laboratorium.

Abstract

Today, the ease of obtaining medicines for the public has improved significantly thanks to developments in technology and healthcare infrastructure. Access to medicines has become easier through pharmacies. A survey of 35 community members in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara showed that 85.3% stored medicines without doctor's instructions and needed education on the proper use of medicines. A survey of 23 pharmacists also showed that 95.5% of pharmacists need a drug education platform that makes it easier for them to provide drug education. Departing from the problem of the lack of public understanding of medicines and the need for pharmacists to provide drug education easily, this study aims to design and build an information system, “ObatPedia,” as an educational media about website-based medicines. The method used is Personal Extreme Programming (PXP) because this website will be developed flexibly, quickly, and responsive to change. In this method, some stages are passed, including Planning, Iteration, Initialization, Design, Implementation, and Testing, so the website can be developed with the expected features and usability. The results Mean opinion score of this system a Mean Opinion score of 4.345 from the public and 4.472 from pharmacists on a scale of 1 to 5, which shows that users strongly agree that the ObatPedia website can help to increase public knowledge and understanding of medicines.

Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology (ICT) has notably impacted various sectors, including trade. For grocery stores, effective User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design are vital to ensure technology is user-friendly across different groups. This research applies the Human-Centered Design (HCD) method to develop the UI and UX for the G-Star grocery store web application, focusing on user needs, preferences, and contexts to create an intuitive interface. The research process includes stages such as user needs analysis, prototype design, usability testing, and iterative design based on feedback. Initially, user needs were identified through interviews and surveys, which guided the creation of application prototypes. These prototypes were then tested for usability, and feedback was used to refine and improve the design. The findings demonstrate that HCD principles enhance UI and UX, leading to higher customer satisfaction and loyalty. Implementing HCD improves user efficiency and convenience, contributing positively to the G-Star grocery store's performance. This research provides valuable insights for technology development in the grocery sector and offers practical guidance for designers and developers, encouraging the use of HCD in similar projects.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of User-Centered Design (UCD) principles in the design UI/UX for the mobile tourism application, 'Wisata Lombok.' The research aims to demonstrate how UCD can significantly improve user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) in context-specific applications. The methodology employed a multi-phase approach, including user research, persona development, iterative design. Data was collected through interviews with local and tourists, online surveys with Lombok residents, and on-site observations. This information guided the creation of user personas and informed the application's feature set and design decisions. Key findings reveal that incorporating local cultural elements into the UI design enhanced user engagement. The implementation of features like maps and cultural event calendars. Usability testing was carried out using an online questionnaire using the UEQ method. The UEQ contains 26 questions which structured in the form of a semantic differential, where each word consists of two terms expressing opposite meanings. The form was distributed to 35 respondents. All of the 35 respondents, 16 identified as male and 19 as female. The age distribution indicates that 29 respondents are within the 18-35 years old range, while 6 respondents are within the 35-56 years old. The UEQ result shows that the perspicuity and efficiency scale has the highest values, 2.29 and 1.96, falling within the “Excellent” range, indicating that the respondents didn't find any difficulties in operating the user interface. The attractiveness, dependability, and novelty scale fall within the “above average” value, indicating that the user interface was based on respondent needs. The stimulation scale has the least value 0.44 which fall within “bad” value , which means that the respondents was bored cause the user interface only has a few features.

Abstract

Stunting is a significant child health issue in Indonesia, where children experience impaired growth, resulting in weight and height below their age average. In 2022, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) reported a stunting prevalence of 21.6%, exceeding the WHO target of 20%. Stunting is caused by chronic malnutrition from pregnancy through the first thousand days of life, a crucial period for brain and cognitive development. Proper complementary feeding (MPASI) after 6 months is essential to meet infants' nutritional needs and prevent developmental delays in children under two. This study aims to develop a mobile web-based system that recommends MPASI according to infants' nutritional needs using the Fuzzy Tahani method. This method was chosen for its ability to handle uncertainty and provide personalized solutions. The developed system achieved 94.5% accuracy, with a precision of 33.1%, recall of 27.4%, and specificity of 85.9%. The system met the research objectives despite lower precision and recall due to imbalanced training data. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results indicated that 77.73% of users strongly agreed with the system, while 1.86% disagreed. This system is expected to assist in preventing stunting by providing more accurate MPASI recommendations tailored to each infant's needs.

Abstract

Library digitalization has become increasingly important in the era of information technology development. Digitalization enables libraries to provide easier and more efficient access to various information sources. This study proposes to design and construct an online e-catalog information system for the Nusa Tenggara Barat State Museum Library, which currently relies on manual book searches. The waterfall model was the software development methodology utilized in this study. This research is designed to facilitate library data management and assist visitors in finding the books they need. The implementation of this system includes features such as sign-in, dashboard, profile, services, and catalog. The testing results demonstrate that the system is intuitive, offers comprehensive information, and all functionalities function as intended. In conclusion, this e-catalog information system successfully improves the effectiveness of library services and simplifies book data management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the security of government websites, focusing on vulnerabilities caused by SQL Injection and Cross Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. In accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 3 of 2003 on National Policy and Strategy for E-Government Development, government agencies are required to provide digital services through official websites. However, this increase in digitalization presents challenges in the context of cybersecurity. The research applies penetration testing methods to several government websites in East Java, using the OWASP Top 10 as the primary guide. The results reveal that many government websites are vulnerable to SQL Injection and XSS attacks, which could lead to data theft and information manipulation. Recommendations for enhancing security include implementing input validation techniques and regularly updating software. This research contributes to raising cybersecurity awareness in the governmental sector.

Abstract

Hearing loss is a significant global health problem, with a high prevalence in Indonesia. Limited access to ENT specialists, especially in remote areas, causes delays in diagnosis and treatment of ear diseases. This research aims to develop an early diagnosis system for ear diseases using deep learning. The proposed method applies Xception and MobileNet-V2 Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture with hyperparameter optimization using Bayesian Optimizer. The dataset consists of 1,101 images covering 20 types of ear diseases, collected using an endoscope ear cleaning kit at Mataram University Hospital. The dataset was divided into 60% training data, 20% validation data, and 20% test data. Xception recorded the best performance with accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-score of 0.911, 0.166, 0.166, and 0.151, respectively. The best model performance was obtained on MobileNet-V2 with the application of Bayesian Optimizer, resulting in the best hyperparameters at Unit Dense 174, Dropout Rate 0.2, and LXceptionearning Rate 0.003. This scenario resulted in an increase in accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-score compared to the scenario without hyperparameter search of 0.004, 0.010, 0.018, and 0.012, respectively. This research demonstrates the potential of deep learning in improving early diagnosis of ear diseases.

Abstract

This research focuses on the challenges faced by the Taruna Tani Aulia group in educating farmers about the transition from chemical fertilizers to organic fertilizers. Many farmers find the process of producing organic fertilizers complex and time-consuming, making them reluctant to switch. To address this issue, this study developed an information system that serves as both a promotional tool and a learning platform, facilitating the dissemination of information on the benefits of organic fertilizers and promoting organic fertilizer products sold by Taruna Tani Aulia. The system was developed using the Prototyping Method, allowing for iterative testing and evaluation with direct user feedback. The system was built using the Next.js framework to streamline the development process. The results of testing using the Mean Opinion Score indicated a high level of user acceptance, with a User Acceptance Test score of 87.8%. This suggests that the system is feasible and effective in supporting the promotion and education of organic fertilizers. In conclusion, this information system can help farmers more easily understand and adopt organic farming practices, as well as simplify their access to purchasing organic fertilizers without the need to produce them independently.

Abstract

Household waste is one of the largest contributors to environmental waste, reaching 39.63% of the total 19.45 million tonnes of waste produced in Indonesia in 2022 from National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN) data. Waste is a very serious environmental problem that continues to be faced by the government and society. The waste produced every year increases along with the increase in population. Making compost from household organic waste is one solution at the household level to reduce the impact of waste and provide organic fertilizer for plants. However, the main problem is the lack of waste processing and public awareness. As an alternative solution, the use of the Internet of Things (IoT) can be utilized. This research utilizes the NodeMCU ESP8266 and DHT11, MQ4 sensors and incandescent lamps to monitor and control the compost making process. Through integration with the Telegram bot, this system allows users to monitor and manage the process remotely, which in turn contributes to reducing waste, environmental pollution and providing organic fertilizer. In this study, the results obtained during the 15 day compost making process had an average temperature of 40.63, humidity 67%, and methane gas produced was less than 700 ppm. The odor produced during composting smells earthy and fragrant, has a brownish black color, and has a crumbly texture, softens easily, and experiences weight loss. From the characteristics above, it can be interpreted that the compost made has good quality.
