Abstract

Experiment of free fall motion is one of phenomena in physic. Parameters of free fall motion still measured by stopwatch and meter. The purpose of research is development of free fall motion experiment set based on microcontroller with personal computer display. This instrument have highest precision and accuration. Average of measured result is 9,821 ± 0,025 with average of precicion relative is 98,3% and average accuration is 0,992.Key words: free fall motion, microcontroller, pc

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the optimum amylase activity at the variations of temperature and pH, and the effectiveness of extractors.  The extraction of the enzyme can be done in two ways, with an organic solvent and inorganic salt. We have conducted research on amylase activity of yam tubers extracted with ethanol and ammonium sulfate. This research is an experimental research using complete randomized design with two factorials which are pH and temperature. pH variations were 4, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, and 6, while the variation of temperature are 300 C, 400 C, 500C, and 600C. Isolation of amylase-was carried out by multilevel fractionation using saturated ammonium sulphate 40, 60. 80, and 90% w/v and cold ethanol 95%. Amylase activity was determined based on the concentration of glucose which is result of hydrolysis of starch by Nelson-Somogy method. The highest activity was found in fraction I, pH 4 and temperature of 500C with 34.55 units of activity for ethanol solvent and 30.72 units for ammonium sulfate. Key words: amylase, activity, isolation, yam tubers extracted

Abstract

Operation of pesticide population require to be conducted. This time operation which conducted many is chemically, which can leave dangerous residu to environment. In this time have been developed by method operation of white pest by exploiting mushroom of entomopatogen which is have potency to as agent involve for the controller of pest. For that have been conducted by research with aim to in searching, insulation, and identify various mushroom type of entomopatogen which is insulation at infection insect around area agriculture of kecamatan  X Koto Tanah Datar. Identify through perception of characteristic of makroskopis and is microscopic of mushroom which is insulation. Abstract

The need to detect anions and cations in a variety of environmental water samples more rapidly along with the increasing environmental problems and the time required analytical methods are precise, fast, simple and can provide an accurate assessment. Hydrophilic Interaction Liquid Chromatography (HILIC) is an extremely precise technique for separating polar compounds or compounds that are hydrophilic. The purpose of this study is to assess the separation of anions using HILIC stationary phases imidazole in hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography with the addition of ammonium acetate salt. From the research that has been done can be concluded Imidazoles HILIC can separate SCN- anion, NO 3, NO 2, Br, and I- BrO3- using acetonitrile mobile phase. The addition of salt Ammonium Acetate in the mobile phase can increase the sensitivity and selectivity of anions. So that the resulting peak sharper and bigger.Key words: HILIC Imidazol, anion, HILIC

Abstract

The effort on constructing weather data generator to cope with the scarcity of daily rainfall data is becoming essential recently. The objective of the paper is to generate rainfall daily data using stochastic spreadsheet. This technique can generate random values derived from the Gamma distribution which is initiated by the determination of rainfall probabilities, the occurrences on certain days and followed by the generation of rainfall height. The result showed that the rainfall data generator in Padang at period 1976-2005 showed consistent patterns with the observation eventhough simulation on day 180th the value is too high. Based on T-paired test, it showed no statistically significant different between simulation and observation (P-Value=0.000). Thus, the model can be employed as daily rainfall generator that can be further used to support the sustanaibility of agricultural activitiesin and food security in Padang. Abstract

Found lack of good management of knowledge School SMA Negeri 1 Bayang. Knowledge management is not good can cause a lack of knowledge transmission is only delivered directly. This is because the learning activities are only delivered face to face. Knowledge is one thing that is very important for students, teachers and employees at the school, the knowledge does not have to be obtained in person or face-to-face between teachers, students and employees who share knowledge. In this study will be designed a system that can manage knowledge so well that teachers, students and employees can share knowledge and information for the actors who needs although do not follow the forum directly to the knowledge management system, when students can not attend classes can still get the material from integrated system, delivery of information by the school can also be obtained by students although unable to attend school, the teacher can not attend a workshop or meeting can get the information or the results of the workshop or meeting.Key words: knowledge management system, knowledge sharing and information

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease marked with high blood sugar levels. Patients with diabetes mellitus susceptible to pulmonary tuberculosismaking it difficult for to cure them. This research aims to find out figure of anti tuberculosis drug resistance in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis with diabetes mellitus. This descriptive research was conducted in the Laboratory of Microbiology Center for Lung Disease Treatment Lubuk Alung West Sumatra. Sputum samples were pulmonary tuberculosis patients with diabetes mellitus as many as 10 samples. The results of Mycobacterium tuberculosis sensitivity to anti-tuberculosis drugs in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis with diabetes mellitus showed resistance to one drug, isoniazid by 10% and the other anti tuberculosis drugs are not resistance.Key words : diabetes mellitus, pulmonary tuberculosis, anti tuberculosis drugs, resistance

Abstract

The utility of synthetic cleaners or commonly called as detergents have developed far indeed in this century. The effective and efficient use of detergents in cleaning process, was attracted to be used in laundry?s industry commercially, though, it has some drawback to the society and environments. Since the active materials in the compounds can cause irritating to the skins, cataracts to mature eyes and some other environmental issues due to the excess of foams can prevent oxygen dilution in the water so it be hazardous to water living organisms. Once the promising method to solve this problem is by photo-degradation using photo-catalyst. Photo-catalyst is the process using light and catalyst in order to accelerate chemical transformation, thus,  solar or uv-rays can be used as light sources. This research aims at to show the ability of catalyst TiO2 to degrade active material in linear alkyl benzene sulphonate (LAS) and alkyl benzene sulphonate (ABS) which is available in commercial detergent. Photo-degradation of LAS and ABS compounds was determined by optimum capacity TiO2 and irradiance time. Whereas, for environmental application, the degrade compounds such Rinso® and Wipol® was chosen since it is commonly used in daily life. Beside, artificial water waste and laundry water was chosen to show the environmental effect.  The result shows that the optimum number of catalyst TiO2 addition for LAS degradation was 1.5 g, and optimum time was 120 minute. Whereas  the optimum number of catalyst TiO2 addition for ABS degradation was 2.0 g, and optimum time was 120 minute as well. Thus, for detergent Rinso®, at optimum catalyst addition, we found degradation number was 75.83%, and for detergent Wipol®, at optimum catalyst addition, we found degradation number was 57.94%. Whereas,  for artificial waste at optimum catalyst addition, we found degradation number was 91.32%, and for laundry water waste at optimum catalyst addition, we found degradation number was 70.27%.Key words : Photodegradation, surfactant, TiO2, photocatalyst

Abstract

Formalin is a toxic chemical that is commonly used as a preservative for biological samples and in various industries. But in practice many abused formaldehyde as a preservative foods such as tofu, meatballs, anchovies, etc. wet fish. When food is consumed can cause interference with the metabolism of the body's organs and systems. A research on the investigation of formaldehyde, especially in out circulating in the market Batusanggkar. Examination carried out by using potassium permanganate (KMnO4) and dragon fruit skin by observing the color changes. Examination of formalin in 5 samples showed similar results to know that the 5 samples contain formaldehyde are all positive.Key word: formalin, tahu, KMNO4, Dragon Fruit skin

Abstract

Birds are one of the biological wealth owned by Indonesia. The structure of the lower strata of bird communities in tropical areas represent a very good system to see the difference in sensitivity between species for habitat variation in different scales. This study was conducted in January 2013 using the method of net Mist (mist nets) in the Kerinci National Park (TNKS). Birds that are found as many as 21 species to 83 people only order passerines with six families. The diversity of birds affected by many factors diantarannya abundance of epiphytes, an abundance of fruits, the openness of the forest floor and tree species composition.
