Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of IFRS Adoption, Firm Size, Leverage, and Blockholder Ownership on Earnings Management. The research was conducted on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) period of 2012-2015. Sample of this research consist of 64 companies using the purposive sampling method. Earnings Management is proxied with discretionary accruals and measured using a modified jones model. IFRS Adoption measured by Dummy Variables. Firm Size is measured by logarithm base ten. Leverage measured by Debt to Total Asset Ratio (DTA) and Blockholder Ownership measured by Dummy Variables. The results in this study showed that there was a positive and insignificant influence between the adoption of IFRS on earnings management, firm size variable had a negative and insignificant effect on earnings management, leverage variable had a positive and significant effect on earnings management and blockholder ownership had a negative and insignificant effect on earnings management. This research is expected to provide input to users of financial statements as decision-makers and to parties with an interest in financial reports regarding the importance of quality financial report information, especially information regarding earnings management

Abstract

Employee performance is one of the things that is very interesting to develop, because employee performance is crucial in determining the performance of partnerships. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect on employee performance, encourage work on employee performance, placement on employee performance, and personality, encourage work, and placement on employee performance. This research uses quantitative methods. The population of this research is 50 employees of PT. Asuransi Kredit Indonesia Cabang Batam. The research sample of 50 employees, with census sampling technique. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant difference in employee performance, work planning is significant on employee performance, and placement is not significant on employee performance, and competence, encouraging work, and significant placement on employee performance.

Abstract

The research conducted to discuss the factors that affecting the implementation of employee engagement. Employee engagement contributes to companies where low turnover, high profitability and high productivity. The results of the study explained the direct effect that leadership, teamwork, management support had a significant effect to employee motivation and employee development / training, environment / workplace, teamwork, management support, employee motivation directly influencing to employee engagement but performance management, compensation / remuneration leadership does not have a significant effect to employee engagement. Indirect influence explains that leadership and team work have a significant effect to employee engagement through employee motivation but management support does not significantly influence employee engagement through employee motivation.

Abstract

Performance of employees is the result of employees' efforts and efforts to achieve work performance that fulfills their obligations to the company. The common goal of the company is to get the benefits that can be achieved with the help of high performance employees.This research was conducted by distributing 275 questionnaires which then obtained 265 feedback from respondents regarding the performance of employees at supermarket companies in Batam. The results of data collection from respondents were tested using SPSS.From the test results it is known that there is a significant positive relationship in all tested variables in accordance with the formulated hypothesis. The results of this study are expected to enrich research related to human resource management and be useful for company management in evaluating the factors that affect employee performance.

Abstract

Karyawan merupakan aset perusahaan yang paling penting karena karyawan berkontribusi positif terhadap tujuan dan kemajuan perusahaan. Dalam mengembangkan perusahaan membutuhkan karyawan yang memiliki kompetensi dan dedikasi yang tinggi terhadap perusahaan. Retensi karyawan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap proses pencapaian tujuan perusahaan, terutama di era persaingan dan persaingan global yang semakin ketat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuisioner kepada 300 responden yaitu karyawan perusahaan ekspedisi di Batam, hasil dari kuisioner tanggapan tersebut akan digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian yang diajukan Hasil uji data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan pada semua variabel bebas yang diuji. Kata Kunci : Kepuasan Kerja, Keselamatan Kerja, Sistem Kompensasi, Pelatihan Kerja dan Retensi Karyawan

Abstract

Shopee is an online shopping media that is used to buy and sell products easily. The existence of increasingly advanced internet technology encourages e-commerce companies to form interesting breakthroughs to increase consumer purchases. The purpose of this study was to determine whether Shopee advertisements on TV had an effect on Tangerang's buying interest through the Shopee application in the city of Tangerang or not. The theory in this research is cultivation theory and S-O-R. The method of this research is explanative quantitative research, because it wants to know the relationship between the X variable and Y variable. This study uses a cluster random sampling technique to take this sample from the population randomly. This study uses a data collection technique that is a questionnaire survey. The results of the coefficient of determination test prove that shopee advertising has a significant influence on buying interest through the shopee application in the city of Tangerang. This study also uses a signification semiology approach (understanding with a sign so that cognition can be processed which takes precedence over other communication).

Abstract

Managerial performance that is not well integrated will have implications for things that are not in accordance with the objectives, so it is necessary to improve supporting performance. Therefore, managers must improve work support such as information technology, decentralization, and the characteristics of a good and structured management accounting system in order to produce optimal performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of information technology, decentralization, and characteristics of management accounting systems on managerial performance. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach through data collection techniques with questionnaires distributed directly to managers and staff at CV. Ratu Cipta Management. The statistical test tool used is SPSS 25. The results of this study were obtained in a t-test (partial) that the first hypothesis of information technology affects managerial performance obtained a t value (Tcount 11.484> Ttable 2.045), the second hypothesis that decentralization has a significant effect on managerial performance is obtained t (T count 3,332 > T table 2,045) and the third hypothesis that the characteristics of the management accounting system have no effect on managerial performance obtained the t value (T count 0,227 < T table 2,045). Simultaneously, the variables of information technology, decentralization and the characteristics of the management accounting system on managerial performance are shown by the Fcount of 12.062 > Ftable 2.92. The results of this study indicate that the variables of information technology and decentralization have an effect on managerial performance, while the characteristics of the management accounting system have no effect on managerial performance, and simultaneously the three variables affect managerial performance.

Abstract

Today, social media forms an increasingly central part of how companies communicate their marketing strategies to target consumers. In this study, the objective of this research is to identify the impacts and links that affect purchase intention as well as other variables, namely e-WOM, brand awareness, social media marketing, and brand image as intervening. The findings of a study conducted on 300 respondents who have buying interest in Korean skincare products indicate that it has a positive significant value of all variable X against variable Y. Based on the findings of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of the e-WOM variable, brand awareness, social media marketing, and brand image on variable Y, namely purchase intention.

Abstract

Hubungan etos kerja dengan produktivitas kinerja karyawan pada masa pandemic pada, jurusan Manajemen Bisnis Syariah Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam, penelitian yang dimaksudkan untuk peluang baru tentang a) etos kerja karyawan b) produktivitas kinerja karyawan c) mengetahui hubungan etos kerja dengan produktivitas kinerja karyawan pada masa pandemic. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif , Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu 1) wawancara 2) observasi 3) kuisioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa etos kerja karyawan ditunjukkan dengan pola kerja yang didasarkan peraturan-peraturan yang ditetapkan oleh perusahaan dan bekerja dengan teliti. Produktivitas kienreja karyawan pada masa pandemic ditunjukkan dengan upaya pegawaiyang selalu teliti dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan dalam pekerjaannya, dan semangat dalam bekerja untuk meningkatkan produksi. Sehingga mereka terdorong untuk untuk melakukan tugas dengan penuh tanggung jawab, apalagi dimasa pandemic ini harus benar-benar ditingkan dalam semangat kerja dan produktivitas kinerjanya, untuk itu butuh yang namanya peminpin yang dapat mengajak dan meberikan arahan dalam semangat bekerja.

Abstract

This research investigates the associations between social media communication (SMC), brand loyalty (BL) and brand trust (BT) and its influence on purchase intention (PI) of the Gen Y Consumers in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. The study looked into the role of brand trust in moderating the relationship between social media communication, brand loyalty, and purchasing intention. The study adopted the quantitative research method. The population of the study consisted of Gen Y consumers, living in Malaysia. A sample size of 361 responses were collected by using the convenience sampling procedure. A structured survey approach was applied and the responses were collected by online mode through google forms. The statistical package for social science (SPSS) 23 was utilised for the analysis of the data. The results revealed that the SMC influence among the Gen Y consumers had a positive effect on PI. In addition, the association between BL, BT and PI was not significant. Equally, BT moderated the association between SMCand PI. The results can help marketers to grows effective promotion stratagems to improve SMC, build BL and trust particularly in the fast-food business in Malaysia.
