Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the soundness level of Bank Syariah Mandiri, Bank Muamalat Indonesia, and Bank Negara Indonesia Syariah using the RGEC method (Risk Profile, GCG, Earning, Capital) for the 2019 period. The method used is a descriptive research approach, with publication report data. Finance obtained from online media used by Banks with due observance of the RGEC method in the world of Islamic Banking. This study wants to reveal a comparison of the level of health in three Islamic banks. This research was conducted in a limited scope, in terms of GCG factors, data taken from annual reports so that further research data can be processed in the GCG factor in the form of data obtained from the results of questionnaires to bank stakeholders. The range of areas and types of methods used will be more varied with a more diverse sample of banks so as to provide more accurate conclusions. The results showed that Bank Syariah Mandiri, Bank Muamalat Indonesia and Bank Negara Indonesia Syariah as the state-owned banks with the largest assets received a very healthy CAR Composite Rating. This reflects the condition of the three banks which are considered highly capable of dealing with significant negative effects from changes in business conditions and other external factors, however if a weakness occurs, it can be said that in general these weaknesses are not significant even though seen from the ROA Composite Rating Value, Bank Muamalat Indonesia gets unhealthy rating with an ROA value of 0.05% based on Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 13/1/PBI/2011 concerning Assessment of the Soundness of Commercial Banks with Risk-Profile, Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Earnings, and Capital.

The data were obtained, then analyzed, analyzed, compared, then took the topics and cited them. According to the Islamic view, the results showed that the Intention is very urgent and should rest for the value of dedication to Allah. A sincere intention, because of Allah, will add extra strength to someone to do a job. Meanwhile, according to psychology, Intention is influenced by three things: attitude toward control, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control. The article concludes that the Intention is influenced by two things, the earthly and religious elements. Man's motivation to do work is what colors his Intention, whether for the world or the hereafter.

Abstract

The world is paralyzed. In the beginning of 2020, the earth is attacked by COVID-19 pandemic. This pandemic has a massive impact towards all sectors in human daily life. All communication way shift to online communication include teaching and learning process. This research was aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of remote learning in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic. This research applied qualitative method. The subject of this research are the English department students of a state university in Makassar, Indonesia. Open-response questionnaire was chosen as the instrument to gain the data. Thus, the pandemic of COVID-19, the researcher spread the questionnaire through Google Form. From the questionnaire, the result showed that the majority of students did not like remote learning. They did not enjoy the teaching and learning program such as discussion class or when they wanted to communicate with their friends and lecturers. There felt some obstacles in creating a real teaching and learning English condition through remote learning due to the unsupported device and unstable internet networks. It can be concluded that Indonesia has not ready yet to apply the remote learning as the standard learning system due to the uneven welfare and the spread of stable internet networks. This condition also possible drives students to some psychological disorders such as anxiety and under pressure. The lesson learned from this COVID-19 pandemic will make the next generation, remote learning platforms, and solutions for future cases more ready and better than today.

Abstract

The advent of e-learning has made unlimited source of knowledge available to us all. Recent research reveals great interest to introduce Knowledge Management (KM) ideas to e-Learning systems. It is argued that KM can facilitate an eLearning system. The joint studies of KM and eLearning point out the same fundamental goal: facilitating organizational learning. Researchers try to analyze the similarity of the goals, methods of assessment, and some knowledge sharing processes both in KM and eLearning. An eLearning system within KM is traditionally analyzed as a knowledge resource repository, where the KM methods can be implemented to increase the effectiveness of knowledge dissemination. Researchers have designed many models for integrating knowledge management into e-learning system. Some are practically implemented while some are not practically implemented. Despite these various models, researchers are still working for more interactive, efficiency and effective model that can be used to quickly identify the most relevant information (knowledge) and distribute it to meet specific needs. This work investigates the integration of e-Learning systems and Knowledge Management technology to improve, capture, organize and deliver large amounts of knowledge. First, a model is proposed for the phases of knowledge management. The model is then enhanced with concepts and technology from e-Learning. The model is then used to illustrate real world scenarios that add increasing amounts of knowledge management to an e-Learning environment. The system, AMID promises high interactivity, efficiency and effectiveness of integration of knowledge management and e-learning. In addition, the developed system will enhance technical learning process.

Abstract

There has been a dearth in modern scientific literature addressing the effect of Quranic recitation on the physical context of beings compared to a psychological or spiritual dimension. Muslims believe that the Holy Qurʾān is Kalamullah (the words of God). This study distances itself from arguing the truthfulness of the Qurʾān. Instead, it is an effort out of curiosity to appreciate the Creator’s greatness from a scientist’s perspective. It is always room for improvement in seeking knowledge. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of Quranic recitation on non-audible primary cells using a monolayer cell culture model. Cartilages were harvested from commercially available rabbits’ knee joints (n=6). The cartilage cells (chondrocytes) were isolated, cultured, and assigned to five groups. Three cultured chondrocyte groups were exposed to Sūrat l-Fātiĥah (The Opening), ‘Arabic poem’ and ‘Western poem’ recitals. Two other groups served as controls. One was exposed to a muted sound speaker (but switched on), and another group had no exposure. All recitations were recorded and exposed to the cells in a standardized, controlled condition to allow scientific rigor and a systematic approach. A scratch assay was also performed to mimic a simple wound healing model. Post-exposure evaluations included basic cellular staining, immunocytochemistry against collagen I and II, sulfated glycosaminoglycan (sGAG) production, and cartilage-specific gene expression analysis. All cells groups showed positive reactions to the various recitals exposures. However, based on the overall findings and chondrogenic properties preservation, the group exposed to the Qurʾān exhibited better structure and function than the other groups. The results showed that the non-audible chondrocytes devoid of spiritual dimension could respond to vocal sounds. This non-invasive study indicates that a proper Quranic recitation has a healing effect and could impact physical cells better than the other recitals.

Abstract

Asynchronous CMC is an online learning that has time difference between the period of teaching using online apps and the messages. This study aimed to find out students’ interaction and activities on the asynchronous CMC through Google Classroom and Whatsapp Group. This study employed mixed method namely exploratory research design. There were 20 participants involved as the sample of this study. The qualitative data were collected and analysed in order to develop the quantitative instrument. Thus, this research used observation recordings and questionnaire which consisted of 12 main questions. This study found that at least there are four main activities on asynchronous learning namely communication, learning process, material and evaluation. The participants showed different responses in two activities namely communication and learning process in both applications namely Whatsapp and Google Classroom. Meanwhile, in material and evaluation the participants showed relatively similar percentage. Besides, this study found that traditional face-to-face learning is easier than online learning in terms of communication and learning materials. This study suggests that the details of this finding need to be investigated further.
