Abstract

Adversity Quotient is a reflection of a person when faced with the challenge / problem, which in this case are grouped into three groups: quitters, campers, and climbers.This study aims to determine the relationship adversity quotient by perceptions of life saving  social science students Prgrams of SMAN 1 Kandangan HSS Regency.The study was conducted at SMAN 1 Kandangan HSS Regency, South Kalimantan. The method used is a correlational method. Variables that were tested are variable AQ and perceptions about life saver. Subjects were students of the Sosial Science Program  Academic year 2011/2012 amounted to 218 people. Data collection techniques are the questionnaire technique. Data obtained in the field and then analyzed quantitatively.The results of the study show that the AQ Student Programs IPS SMAN 1 Kandangan proportion 49.3% (campers) and 50.7% (climbers).Proportion of 4 (four) AQ indicator that states X1 control was 32% (quitters) 56% (campers), and 12% (climbers). Origin and ownership X2 is 29.3% (quitters), 4% (campers) and 66.7% (climbers). Reach X3 is 26.7% (quitters), 58.7% (campers), and 14.7% (climbers). Endurance X4 is 37.3% (quitters), 44% (campers) and 18.7% (climbers). The results of simple correlation analysis of the relationship between the Y X1 coefficient of 0.239 or p <0.05 is significant, the coefficient of X2 with Y obtained at 0.279 or p <0.05 is significant, the coefficient of X3 to Y obtained at 0, 230 or p <0.05 is significant, between X4 with coefficient Y of 0.327 or p <0.05 is significant, and for the variable total score of the adversity quotient (X) with perceptions about life saving (Y) obtained by the correlation coefficient of 0.342 or p <0.05 is significant. The results of partial correlation analysis the relationship between the level I controlled X1 X to Y is obtained coefficient 0.259 or p <0.05 is significant, the relationship X to Y is controlled by the coefficient obtained X3 0.264 or p <0.05 was significant. The results of partial correlation analysis the relationship level II controlled variable X with Y CR coefficient 0.264 or p <0.05 was significant. The results of partial correlation analysis level III controlled the relationship X with Y CO2R coefficient 0.216 or p <0.05 was significant.Follow-up related to this study is that students who have a high AQ will have an impact on the hide perception on life-saving, so the development of AQ at school needs to be done so that students are able to apply the life-saving manner better.Keywords: Perceptions about saving lives, adversity quotient.

Abstract

The aim of research to analyze the factors that affect the learning achievement with a quantitative approach. This type of research is a kind of field research (field research) with quantitative approach. The field research is a study to obtain the correct data in the field. So this research is quantitative research that is not only to obtain the data, but also to prove the existence of the effect of parental education and economic status of families with student achievement in social studies SMP se Alalak districts.Test results obtained by the value of R F or the value of the correlation coefficient of 0.901. This value can be interpreted that the relationship of education, economic status of parents, families and schools on student achievement considered strong. The result of the value of F (246.413)> F table (2.37), and sig. Smaller than the probability value 0.05 or value 0.000 <0.05. So P-value <α = 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted.Thus the high and low achievement (based on the value of report cards) students of SMP Negeri se Alalak districts affected by the level of education, economic status of parents, families and school students. Parents guide their children is more important in the home in order to be motivated to learn in addition, it also did not escape the role of family support so that his diligent study and school. So is the teacher's role is very important role in educating (as second parents) and taught to students in the school. Schools as the main spearhead forward whether or not the next generation naturally always follow the development of educational progress.Keywords: Factor analysis, Achievement, IPSTujuan penelitian untuk menganalisa faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian adalah jenis penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian lapangan merupakan suatu penelitian untuk  memperoleh data yang benar terjadi di lapangan. Jadi penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif  yang tidak  sekedar untuk memperoleh data, akan tetapi juga untuk membuktikan ada tidaknya pengaruh tingkat pendidikan orang tua dan status ekonomi keluarga dengan prestasi belajar siswa mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri se kecamatan Alalak.Hasil Uji F diperoleh nilai R atau nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,901. Nilai ini dapat diartikan bahwa hubungan pendidikan, status ekonomi orang tua, keluarga dan sekolah terhadap prestasi belajar siswa dikategorikan kuat. Hasil nilai Fhitung (246,413) > Ftabel (2,37), dan nilai sig. Lebih kecil dari nilai probabilitas 0,05 atau nilai 0,000 < 0,05.  Jadi  P-value < α = 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.Dengan demikian tinggi rendahnya prestasi belajar (berdasarkan nilai hasil raport) siswa SMP Negeri se kecamatan Alalak dipengaruhi oleh tingkat pendidikan, status ekonomi orang tua, keluarga dan sekolah siswa. Orang tua yang lebih utama membimbing anaknya di rumah agar termotivasi untuk belajar di samping itu juga tidak lepas peran keluarga yang mendukung agar anaknya rajin belajar dan sekolah. Begitu juga peran  guru sangatlah penting perannya dalam mendidik (sebagai orang tua kedua) dan mengajar bagi siswa di sekolah. Sekolah sebagai ujung tombak utama maju tidaknya generasi penerus bangsa sudah sewajarnya selalu mengikuti perkembangan kemajuan pendidikan.Kata Kunci : Analisis Faktor, Prestasi Belajar, IPS

Abstract

To build quality human resources, the role of education is one very important factor. Educational success is determined by several factors many of which are internal factors and external factors. The ability of teachers to manage teaching and learning can encourage students to develop their potential. Therefore, the attention of all parties on improving teachers' motivation and ability which in turn will affect the performance of teachers is crucial in improving the quality of education in schools. By using multiple linear regression models in this study was identified that motivation has a very dominant role in the improvement of teacher performance factors other than teacher ability. If the motivation of teachers and the variable ability of teachers to manage classroom teaching contributes significantly to the performance of teachers, then it should be the principal and related educational agencies and teachers to give serious attention to these variables.Keywords: Motivation, Ability, and Teacher Performance.

Abstract

Determining factor in the learning is the role of a teacher. The main problem that became focus in this study described the role of social studies teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Jelai, such as: Demonstrator, Mediator and Facilitator, Class Administrator, and Evaluator. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was performed by using in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation. The result found that (1) the learning social science was by using 2013 Curriculum for class VII and VIII, and KTSP Curriculum for grade IX. Nevertheless, in the implementation of the process there were some constraints in terms of books and other supporting facilities such as the incomplete media, as well as the factors from students themselves; (2) The teacher has done his role as a demonstrator. however, this role was not optimally performed since he was still using conventional method; (3) the roles of the teacher as mediator and facilitator have been well implemented yet not fully applied since he was still only used text books; (4) the role of the teacher as a class administrator has been well performed; (5) the role of the teacher as an evaluator has been well performed. Abstract

Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) diharapkan mampu berkomitmen bekerja secara professional sehingga menghasilkan pelayanan publik yang berkualitas. PNS perlu menanamkan nilai-nilai dasar profesi agar terwujudnya pendidikan berkualitas, sehingga dengan demikian keberadaan PNS yang berkompetensi merupakan syarat mutlak hadirnya sistim dan praktik pendidikan yang berkualitas. Dalam setiap kegiatan yang direncanankan, diharakan kelima unsur ANEKA diaktualisasikan dengan baik. Setiap tahapan kegiatan selama proses untuk mencapai tujuan hendaknya menyiratkan nilai-nilai ANEKA tersebut. Dengan demikian dapat dipastikan bahwa PNS akan menunjukkan pelayanan pubik yang maksimal sehingga berbagai stakeholder akan memperoleh manfaat atas segala kegiatan yang dilaksanakan PNS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to: (1) Describe the activities of teachers on the implementation of the scientific approach model of Problem Based Learning on the material functions and religious diversity, (2) Describe the increased activity of the students in the material functions and religious diversity, (3) Describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in the material functions and religious diversity, and (4) Describe the response of class VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Mandastana. This research method used classroom action research, by taking research location in class VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Mandastana. The data analysis was qualitatively and quantitatively with persentase. The result showed that: (1) Activities of students increased in the first cycle 1 meeting with average scores of 70.6%, the second meeting of an average of 87.78%. Activities undue do students decreased from 3.2% in the first meeting becomes 2.67 in the second meeting, (2) the activity of teachers in the management of learning from the first cycle to the category quite well into both categories at the second cycle, (3) Results learn student by using model PBL can enhance students' understanding of class VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Mandastana on the material functions and religious diversity. In the first cycle post test values obtained with an average of 71.6 We can assume that the complete classical first cycle of 75% and the second cycle an average of 83.4 to 93.8% classical completeness, and (4) the Learning IPS model Problem Based Learning the material functions and religious diversity to respond to class VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Mandastana shown by the many students gave a positive opinion on the student questionnaire responses by 93%.Keywords: effort, improvement, activity, learning outcomes, IPS, PBL

Abstract

AbstractThis study raises the topic about the current condition of Indonesian nation character that became worried, causing unrest in society and so on. Then, to overcome those problems was by improving the character of the nation itself. One of the characters that discussed in this research was the character of Nationalism in the value of discipline. Discipline is the main capital for achieving success, with the discipline, a person will be familiar with the things that can make them grow, get something to be done in time and develop their own potential. This research was used qualitative approach. The research location was at SMP Negeri 13 Banjarmasin. Data collection methods used in this study was observation, interviews, and documentation. The testing technique in determining the validity of data is by using triangulation. While the data analysis method used was data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The result of the research shows the Implementation of National Characteristic Values in Sub - Value of Discipline in Learning of Citizenship Education Class VII of SMP Negeri 13 Banjarmasin is good enough, it can be seen from the regulation of the school clearly stated about disciplinary although in the implementation there are still students who breaks the rules.Keywords: Character, nationalism, discipline, and Citizenship Education AbstrakDilatarbelakangi dengan kondisi karakter bangsa Indonesia sekarang ini yang semakin mengkhawatirkan, sehingga menimbulkan keresahan di masyarakat, maka untuk mengatasi hal tersebut adalah dengan memperbaiki karakter dari bangsa itu sendiri. Satu karakter yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah karakter Nasionalisme dalam sub nilai kedisiplinan. Kedisiplinan merupakan modal utama untuk meraih suatu keberhasilan, dengan disiplin seseorang terbiasa dengan hal-hal yang membuat diri siswa atau pelajar bisa berkembang, mengerjakan sesuatu tepat waktunya dan mengembangkan potensi yang ada pada diri siswa atau pelajar. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian di SMP Negeri 13 Banjarmasin. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Tehnik pengujian dalam menentukan validitas data adalah dengan menggunakan triangulasi. Sedangkan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikkan kesimpulan atau verivikasi. Adapun hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bagaimana implementasi nilai-nilai karakter nasionalisme dalam sub nilai disiplin di pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan Kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Banjarmasin sudah cukup baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari terteranya peraturan sekolah dengan jelas tentang tata tertib kedisiplinan walaupun dalam pelaksanaannya masih ada siswa yang melanggarnya.  Kata kunci: Karakter, nasionalisme, disiplin, dan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: (1) to find out the contributions of the school environment partially  towards the geography learning outcomes of the students of SMAN 1 Satui. (2) to find out the contribution of teacher competence  partially towards the geography learning outcomes of the students of SMAN 1 Satui; (3) to find out the contributions of  school environment and teacher competence towards the  Geography learning outcomes of the students of SMAN 1 Satui. The method in this study used survey method with a quantitative research approach. Samples were taken by using proportional stratified random sampling of 201 students of class XI and XII majoring in social studies. From the population,  67 students were selected as the study samples. The research found: (1) t count> t table (6.002> 1.998) means that the school environment partially contributes to geography learning outcomes of students, (2) the value of t count> t table (2.120> 1.988) means that the competence of teachers partially contributes to the geography learning outcomes of students; (3) F count> F table (28.320> 3.991) means that the school environment and teacher competence simultaneously affect positively and contribute to the geography learning outcomes of the students of SMAN 1 Satui; (4) Adjusted R Square was  0.453 or (45.30%). The conclusion of this study, namely: (1) the school environment partially contributed to the geography learning outcomes of the students of SMAN 1 Satui, t value was positive which means if the school environment is better, it will further enhance the geography learning outcomes of the students of SMAN 1 Satui; (2) teacher competence partially contributed to the geography learning outcomes of the students of SMAN 1 Satui, t value was positive which means the better the competence of the teachers and the more increase the geography learning outcomes of the students of SMAN 1 Satui (3) The school environment and teacher competence jointly contributed to the geography learning outcomes of  the students of SMAN 1 Satui.Keywords: contributions, school environment, teacher competence, learning outcomes, Geography Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk mengetahui kontribusi dari lingkungan sekolah secara parsial terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa dari SMAN 1 Satui. (2) untuk mengetahui kontribusi kompetensi guru secara parsial terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa dari SMAN 1 Satui; (3) untuk mengetahui kontribusi dari lingkungan sekolah dan kompetensi guru terhadap hasil belajar Geografi siswa dari SMAN 1 Satui. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan proporsional stratified random sampling dari 201 siswa dari kelas XI dan XII jurusan IPS. Dari populasi, 67 siswa terpilih sebagai sampel penelitian. Penelitian menemukan: (1) t hitung> t tabel (6,002> 1,998) berarti bahwa lingkungan sekolah sebagian kontribusi untuk geografi hasil belajar siswa, (2) nilai t hitung> t tabel (2,120> 1,988) berarti bahwa kompetensi guru sebagian kontribusi terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa; (3) F hitung> F tabel (28,320> 3,991) berarti bahwa lingkungan sekolah dan kompetensi guru secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan berkontribusi terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa dari SMAN 1 Satui; (4) Adjusted R Square adalah 0,453 atau (45,30%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) lingkungan sekolah sebagian kontribusi terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa dari SMAN 1 Satui, nilai t adalah positif yang berarti jika lingkungan sekolah lebih baik, itu akan lebih meningkatkan hasil belajar geografi siswa dari SMAN 1 Satui; (2) kompetensi guru secara parsial memberikan kontribusi terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa dari SMAN 1 Satui, nilai t adalah positif yang berarti semakin baik kompetensi guru dan lebih meningkatkan hasil belajar geografi siswa dari SMAN 1 Satui (3 ) lingkungan sekolah dan kompetensi guru secara bersama-sama memberikan kontribusi terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa dari SMAN 1 Satui.Kata kunci: kontribusi, lingkungan sekolah, kompetensi guru, hasil belajar, Geografi

Abstract

The strong phenomenon in religious spirit of Tambak Anyar Ulu people in participating for the education in private Islamic Madrasah self-dependently without any foundation to help them and without expecting government assistance are some what has become something unique. The research method used was qualitative method that was used to portray the cultural phenomenon in a rural community, particularly the participation of people in Tambak Anyar Ulu in the field of private Madrasah. The findings of this study are: 1) The forms of religious spirit activities of people of Tambak Anyar Ulu in an effort to increase their participation in the field of private madrasah education. 2) Religious spirit of teachers and learners in Madrasah Auladil Tarbiyyatul Islam’s education. 3) Madrasah Tarbiyyatul Auladil Islam is a pure private madrasah. 4) The people of Tambak Anyar Ulu were motivated to participate in Islamic education in private madrasah of Auladil Tarbiyyatul Islam compared to their participation in state public schools. In conclusion, the result of this research shows that the people of Tambak Anyar Ulu have been proven to be actively participating for the education in private Islamic Madrasah with the religious spirit as its baseline.Key words: Religious spirit, education, and participating

Abstract

AbstractSasirangan Village is one of Small and Medium Enterprises that is formed by making use of sasirangan fabric that is as one of particular object as the industry product. The purpose of research is to describe the production and distribution activity that occur in the Sasirangan Village. and to describe the utilization of production and distribution activities in Sasirangan village as a learning resource. This research uses qualitative approach. Data collection is done by interview, documentation and observation. Data analysis technique is done by data reduction, presentation and conclusion. Data validity is the extending the duration of observation, increasing the persistence, member check and triangulation. Result of research shows that the production of sasirangan fabric is done by a few steps. In distributing, the subjects of industry enterprises do several techniques to attract buyers. Penelitian ini selanjutnya bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kegiatan produksi dan distribusi di Kampung Sasirangan, serta untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan kegiatan produksi dan distribusi di kampung Sasirangan sebagai sumber pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan melakukan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengujian keabsahan data dilakukan dengan perpanjangan pengamatan, meningkatkan ketekunan, member check, dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kegiatan produksi kain Sasirangan dilakukan berbagai tahapan. Pada kegiatan distribusi para pelaku usaha industri melakukan berbagai teknik untuk menarik minat pembeli.
