Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement in the ability to write short stories using the Scientific learning models in Class X Students of SMKN 2 Hiliserangkai. PTK (Classroom Action Research) models which consist of 4 stages, namely the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages.Sources of research data for class X students of SMKN 2 Hiliserangkai City were 28 people and the data of this study were short story texts. Data collection uses test instructions to write short stories with specified themes and student activity observation sheets. Data analysis uses average calculations and final analysis qualitatively. The results showed that there was an increase in short story writing skills through the scientific learning model for students of class X OTKP of SMKN 2 in Hiliserangkai. This is evident from the learning results in the first cycle obtained an average of 70.21 with good categories and increased in the learning outcomes of the second cycle with an average of 80.14 with a very good category. Student activities include aspects of discipline, responsibility, cooperation and independence with the category active enough in the first cycle to increase to be very active in the second cycle in the learning material describing the structure of the text, life values, and structure of short story builders. Keywords: Ability, writing, short story, scientific.

Abstract

Many activities are closely related to writing skills, for example making summaries, taking notes, writing minutes, writing various kinds of letters, writing activity plans, to the ability to write scientific papers. Writing complex explanatory text is writing that tells of an event that is arranged in an orderly manner. Meanwhile, the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) is a method that prioritizes good teamwork. The ability to write complex explanatory texts of class XI SMA SWASTA IT AL FATTAH Lma Village in cycle I was (52%) complete learning and (48%) students have not finished learning. Then after taking the action in cycle II, the learning outcomes are (95%) complete and (5%) have not finished learning Keywords: ability, writing, complex explanatory text, STAD.

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to describe (1) the activity student learning during the application of the CIRC learning model, (2) response students towards the application of the CIRC learning model, (3) increasing learning outcomes students to achieve the level of completeness of student learning outcomes in activities understand the educational values in short stories by applying the learning model  CIRC, (4) steps taken in implementing the CIRC model. Subject research are the teachers and students of class XI and SMA N 1 SIGUNUNG that numbering 40 people. The object of this research is student learning activities, improvement results , responses and learning steps in applying the model CIRC learning . The data collection method used in this study are the test method, observation method, interview and questionnaire method. Data analyzed using quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive techniques. The results of this study were (1) the students were seen to be active in carrying out activities learning , (2) students give very positive responses to application CIRC learning model in short story learning (3) achieving completeness results learn to understand the educational values in students' short stories thanks to the application of the model CIRC learning , namely the pre-action classical average score of 68, cycle I obtained a classical average score of 77, while in the second cycle the classical average score students become 90 and (4) there are several steps for implementing the learning model CIRC to increase activities and achieve mastery learning outcomes understand the educational values in short stories. These steps are emphasized in literature learning, especially short stories that were previously invited to read without intensive understanding it is better to apply the modelCIRC which emphasizes students to learn in groups and integrate reading and writing as a reference for understanding literature. Based on the results research , other researchers are advised to apply the CIRC learning model, as an innovative learning model, in other language subjects in general and in Indonesian lessons, in particular. Key words: CIRC learning, understanding ability, educational values

Abstract

Soil Transmitted Helmiths (STH) infections is still a problem in many areas of the world, there are more than 1.5 billion people, or 2.4% of the world population is infected with intestinal worms that are transmitted through the soil. STH distribution in Indonesia includes all islands in Indonesia, where the prevalence is highest in Papua and North Sumatra with a prevalence of between 50% to 80%. One source of infection was water and mud used in the cultivation of vegetables. Contamination worms may occur especially on vegetables that propagate in the soil or close to the soil. This research is performed in an analytic study with cross sectional design. vegetables are included in the sample in this research was lettuce, leeks, cabbage, spinach, and mustard as many as 50 samples taken from traditional markets and modern markets in Medan city. From the results done, it is known that the highest positive results is in traditional markets as much as 10 vegetables or (40.0%) and the lowest positive results is in modern markets as much as 3 vegetables or (25.0%). Based on these results we can conclude that there are differences between traditional markets and modern markets as evidenced by the value of p in this comparison are p=0,035, So there are differences of Soil Transmitted helminths contamination in raw vegetables sold in traditional markets and modern markets

Abstract

Review text is a text that results from an analysis of various things. Analysis can take the form of books, novels, news, reports or fairy tales. The text provides responses or analyzes related to the setting, time, place, and characters in the text. Basically, the review text is a book review or summary. The purpose of this study was to improve the students' ability to write text reviews using the Concept Sentence learning model. This classroom action research activity was carried out in two cycles using data collection techniques, observation sheets and assessment sheets. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-1 SMP Negeri 2 Tuhemberua in the even semester, totaling 26 students, with 15 boys and 11 girls. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the ability to write reviewed texts through the concept sentence learning model. Cycle I with an average value of 62.11 the lowest score is 50, the highest score is 80, while in the second cycle with an average value of 80 the lowest score is 75 the highest score is 90. Students who complete the first cycle are 9 people with an average percentage 34.6% while the students who completed the second cycle were 26 people with an average percentage of 100%. The results of student observations in the first cycle of the first meeting were 76.15% and the second meeting was 79.23%, whereas in the second cycle the first meeting was 85.38% and the second meeting was 93.46%. The results of observations on the performance of researchers in the first cycle of the first meeting were 57.89% and the second meeting was 72.36%, while the second cycle of the first meeting was 81.57% and the second meeting was 88.15%. Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded that: using the Concept Sentence learning model can improve the ability to write review texts in class VIII-1 students of SMP Negeri 2 Tuhemberua in the Learning Year. Suggestions from these results, the researchers suggest that: 1) for students it is expected to be able to increase interest in writing review texts, 2) for teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Tuhemberua, this research can enrich the knowledge of teachers in the field of study in solving problems related to teacher efforts. in improving the skills of SMP Negeri 2 Tuhemberua.

Abstract

This research began with the problem of the low Mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Mandrehe, West Nias Regency on the Pythagorean Theorem material, under the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 67. Of the 27 total students, only 12 students reached the KKM, which is around 44%. . The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Mandrehe. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. This research was conducted in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Mandrehe in the 2019/2020 school year. Based on the results of the discussion and analysis, it is concluded that the application of the problem based learning (PBL) model can improve student learning outcomes on the Pythagorean theorem material. The increase in teacher activity in the learning process is caused by the teacher using a problem based learning (PBL) learning model. Student learning outcomes have increased from cycle I to cycle II. Student learning outcomes before the action reached the KKM only 12 students with a classical average of 44%. Then in the first cycle, only 18 students reached the KKM with a classical average of 67%. Cycle II students who reach the KKM 25 students with a classical average of 93%
