Abstract

This study aims to analyze resilience communication within families with children with speech and hearing disabilities at SLB As-Syafi’iyah Jakarta Timur. The results show that open, adaptive, and collaborative communication is the main key in building family resilience, and highlight the importance of synergy between families, schools, and communities in creating an inclusive environment that supports the optimal development of children. Active family involvement in assistance, acceptance, and social support has been proven to strengthen the family’s psychological resilience in facing stigma and social challenges. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation with parents of children with speech and hearing disabilities at the school. The findings identify five main processes of family resilience communication: creating new normality, affirming family identity, maintaining communication networks, utilizing internal and external resources, and maintaining a positive perspective. The conclusion emphasizes that reflective communication and cross-environment collaboration are essential foundations in building family resilience with children with speech and hearing disabilities.

Abstract

Music as a medium of communication is used as a medium to voice social phenomena that occur in society, including the issue of family dysfunction. The song “Berakhir di Aku” by Idgitaf, which is the soundtrack of the movie Home Sweet Loan, raises the issue of family dysfunction that is relevant to today's social reality. Using qualitative research methods and Stuart Hall's reception analysis method. This study found that the song triggered deep reflection on family dynamics and the importance of social support among communication students in Jakarta, who are vulnerable to this issue.  The reception of messages related to family dysfunction is influenced by factors of cultural identity, environment, experience and parenting background of each receptor. The results identified three categories of reception: dominant hegemonic position (full acceptance of message content). Audiences in the Negotiated position category (partial acceptance of the message content). Audiences in the opposition position category (rejecting the content of the message). This difference in acceptance is based on the personal experience of each communication student in Jakarta regarding the issue of family dysfunction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze soil quality using the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm based on environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, pH, and nutrient content (N, P, K). The dataset used consists of 660 entries covering 22 different classes describing soil types with varying characteristics. The KNN model was applied to classify soil quality, and the results were evaluated using the Confusion Matrix and Classification Report. The accuracy of the model obtained was around 61%, indicating potential improvements in the classification of some more difficult soil classes. The model performed better on certain classes such as kidney beans, chickpeas, and grapes, but was less than optimal on other classes such as watermelon and pomegranate. These results indicate class alignment in the dataset that affects model performance. This study contributes to the application of machine learning algorithms in agriculture, especially for soil quality monitoring. In the future, this study opens up opportunities for further improvements by using parameter optimization techniques and other more complex algorithms. Thus, the results of this study can be used as a basis for developing intelligent systems for more effective and efficient soil management.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes in human life, transforming the way we interact, work, and transact. The concept of Technomorphosis becomes crucial as a theoretical framework to understand the technological transformation occurring in the digital society. Inspired by the Media Morphosis theory developed by Roger Fidler, Technomorphosis explains that the evolution of technology does not entirely replace old technologies, but rather adapts and transforms elements from previous technologies. This process involves four main principles: inheritance, convergence, persistence, and acceleration, which reflect the dynamics of technological change in the interconnected digital ecosystem. This research uses a conceptual theory approach and descriptive qualitative methodology to explore how technological transformation occurs within social and cultural contexts. The case studies discussed include technological phenomena such as digital platforms, mobile devices, and artificial intelligence, which illustrate the principles of Technomorphosis in practice. This research emphasizes the importance of a deeper understanding of the dynamics of technological transformation, focusing on the role of humans in the ever-evolving technology ecosystem. With the rapid advancement of technology in the digital age, society is becoming increasingly dependent on information and communication technology in everyday life. By introducing the concept of Technomorphosis, this research aims to provide new insights into understanding these changes, as well as the challenges and opportunities that arise in the future of an increasingly digitally connected society.

Abstract

This study addresses a critical gap in flipped learning research by focusing on the specific role of multimedia tools in enhancing student engagement and comprehension—an area often overlooked in prior studies that tend to generalize the benefits of flipped classrooms. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, the study adheres to PRISMA guidelines and analyzes 20 empirical studies selected from 147 initial records obtained through databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and PubMed. Articles were included based on relevance, publication year (2019–2024), and methodological rigor. The findings quantitatively indicate that 100% of the studies reported improved comprehension, 90% observed heightened engagement, and 80% noted enhanced learning flexibility through multimedia-supported flipped learning. However, 60% of the studies identified infrastructural and digital literacy challenges as significant barriers. Theoretically, this research reinforces Vygotsky’s social constructivism by emphasizing interactive and student-centered learning environments. Practically, it underscores the need for teacher training and robust digital infrastructure to optimize flipped learning implementation. This review contributes actionable insights into designing more adaptive, technology-integrated education systems.

Abstract

This study focuses on the use of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) as a marketing communication strategy in the beauty industry. The aim is to understand the role of KOL in increasing brand awareness, building consumer trust, and driving purchasing decisions. This study uses qualitative methods with interviews and literature studies to explore the experiences of several beauty brands in Indonesia such as Rayya Beauty, Glowsicha, and Grace and Glow. The results show that KOLs are effective in conveying brand messages authentically through creative content such as product reviews. Selecting KOLs that are in line with brand values and audiences is the key to success. Conclusion of this study is KOLs play an important role in supporting digital marketing despite challenges such as changes in social media trends.

Abstract

The fashion industry significantly impacts the environment, especially through textile waste from fast fashion. In 2021, Indonesia produced around 2.3 million tons of textile waste. This study explores the sustainability strategy of Napak Bhumi. This local brand transforms textile waste into eco-friendly shoes, uses traditional packaging, supports local artisans, and donates 10% of profits to underprivileged children through the #Tinggalkanjejakbaikmu campaign. Using qualitative methods interviews with five sources and social media analysis the findings show consumers value sustainability beyond product design. This reflects a growing awareness among young generations and offers key insights for brands aiming to integrate social and environmental values into their marketing strategies.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the influence of work environment and compensation on employee performance at Café D’Empire Cikarang. The background of this study is based on the importance of employee roles in supporting the operational success of companies, particularly in the competitive food and beverage service industry. This study uses a quantitative method with a multiple linear regression approach, and data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all employees of Café D’Empire Cikarang. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS software through a series of tests including validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, F-test, and t-test. The results of this study indicate that work motivation, work environment, job training, and compensation at Café D’Empire Cikarang simultaneously have a significant influence on employee performance, contributing 19.2% to the performance variable, while the remaining 81.8% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Education is a planned process that supports students' potential development. PKBM Kendedes in Malang City serves as an alternative non-formal education provider offering life skills programs. This study aims to analyze the influence of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) on students’ enrollment decisions. A quantitative approach is used to evaluate IMC strategies such as Advertising, Sales Promotion, Public Relations, Personal Selling, WOMM, Direct Marketing, and Direct Marketing implemented by the institution. The research is expected to enrich IMC theory in the context of alternative education institutions and provide strategic guidance for PKBM Kendedes in enhancing promotional effectiveness.

Abstract

Social media is a platform used for sharing information, providing reactions, conducting business, and interacting. Instagram is one of the popular social media platforms used by companies to interact and share information. Sampoerna Kayoe uses Instagram as a tool to change the brand image from its previous name, Samko Timber, through a retail activation strategy in collaboration with Aura Kasih. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of Aura Kasih's retail activation on the brand image of Sampoerna Kayoe on Instagram @sampoernakayoe, and how significant that influence is. The research uses a quantitative approach with a data sample of 100 respondents who follow Sampoerna Kayoe’s Instagram account. The obtained data was subjected to a normality test to determine whether it was normally distributed, a Pearson Product Moment correlation test to examine the relationship between variables, a coefficient of determination test to measure the magnitude of influence between variables, and a simple linear regression test to assess the strength of the influence exerted. The tests conducted will be analyzed using the SPSS application. The analysis results indicate a moderate positive influence of Aura Kasih's retail activation on the brand image of Sampoerna Kayoe, with a correlation value of 0.484. The results of this study are expected to serve as an evaluation material for Sampoerna Kayoe regarding the performance of the Retail Activation with Aura Kasih, so that more effective campaigns can be carried out in the future.
