Abstract

Capital structure is one of the most important things that every company should concern about. As alongwith economic issues that recently happened in this past years, such as crisis, inflation, etc, this study aims to find out about the factors that affect the capital structure in the food and beverage sectors listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the year of 2008-2015. The data sample of 8 companies is collected by using financial statements from each company that issued by Indonesia Stock Exchange.. This study use multiple regression with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method to examine the effect of profitability (return on asset), firm size, asset growth and liquidity on the capital structure (debt-to-equity ratio).  The conclusion of this study indicate that profitability, firm size, asset growth and liquidity affect the capital structure simultaneously, meanwhile partially, profitability affect the capital structure while firm size, asset growth and liquidity not affect the capital structure.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze : The effect of profitability and firm size on CSR, the effect of CSR on firm value, and the effect of profitability and firm size on the firm value through CSR. Subject is the construction company listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) 2014-2016. The sampling technique that used purposive sampling techniques and obtained as many as 68 companies with a total of 204 observations. This study using non-participant observation method taken from annual report and financial statement of companies. The analysis technique used is two stage least square regression method. The results of this study are : Profitability doesn’t effect on CS. Firm Size proven significant positive effect on CSR. CSR proven negative and significant on firm value and CSR able to mediate effect of Profitability and firm size on the firm value.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to is to determine how is the structure, conduct, and performance of baby diaper industry in Indonesia. The paradigm known as Structure - Conduct - Performance (SCP) shown those three aspects are integrally related.The type of data at this research is secondary data which is collection from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), annual report of baby diaper industry published by Nielsen from 2012 to 2016 and literature related to this study. The research methodology applies descriptive analytical method in describing SCP of baby diaper industry in Indonesia systematically and accurately. The analysis on structure refer to elucidation on products, industry concentration ratio (CR), Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI), technology, demands and market condition and ease of entry and exit (Porter Five Forces Model). The conduct analysis refer to pricing, product, distribution and promotion strategies. The performance analysis refers to industrial growth and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The result shows that the market structure is quite stable. CR4 calculation indicating oligopoly market. HHI calculation is over 2.500 representing highly concentrated exposed to high technology. Five Porter Forces showed fives strength analysis from threat of entry, power of suppliers, power of buyers, threat of substitutes and rivalry among existing competitor. Price determination, product development, strengthen distribution line, and aggressive advertising and promotion are part of the strategies. Moreover, there is high tendency of merger and supported by managerial implication. From financial perspective, mamy poko remains on top.

Abstract

To support the improvement of dental health in the community it is necessary to overcome them. The efforts of PT Fondaco on the fact encourage the founder to become one of the suppliers who support a variety of dental experts in the treatment by providing various medical purposes.The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of external environment, and internal to competitiveness and analyze the competitive strategy of PT Fondaco Jayatama to improve competitiveness. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method by doing SWOT analysis (EFE and IFE matrix), IE matrix in matching stage, and QSPM analysis in desicion stage. The results of the EFE and IFE matrix analysis showed that Fondaco Jayatama can used all the opportunities and can overcomed threats from the rivalry. PT Fondaco Jayatama also has a good internal and can not be down by the external environment. PT Fondaco Jayatama was a strong competitors. The conclusion of this research is product development strategy is the best strategy to be apply in the organization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh Net Profit Margin (NPM), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER), dan Firm Size (FS) terhadap kebijakan Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). Sampel untuk penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dari perusahaan dalam indeks IDX High Dividend 20 yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2015-2017. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian berjumlah 60 sampel. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, variabel Net Profit Margin (NPM) berpengaruhterhadap variabel Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), sedangkan variabel Debt To Equity Ratio (DER) dan Firm Size (FS) tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). Secara simultan, terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari variabel Net Profit Margin (NPM), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER), dan Firm Size (FS) terhadap variabel Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). Disarankan bagi investor maupun perusahaan untuk memperhatikan faktor Net Profit Margin (NPM) sebagai faktor yang amat menentukan dalam merancang kebijakan Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR).

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to analyze the types of equity funds in the stock market and analyze the performance of the funds equity method using sharpe, trenyor methods, and methods of jensen. The research method used is the method of data collection and processing of data by calculation in accordance with methods of sharpe, treynor method and methods of jensen. Method of data collection is composed of effective data from the website of the stock exchange. Calculation method consists of a method of sharpe, treynor method, and methods of jensen. The benefits of this comparison can give you an idea about the objective performance of mutual funds in Indonesia as one of the considerations for investors and potential investors in choosing the best mutual fund, and to an investment manager with the research expected to provide knowledge about the Investment Manager on the performance that they do. In addition to knowing the competition industry mutual funds in Indonesia so as to provide a reference for an investment manager as a determinant of investment policy to increase the return on investment and minimize risk. As well as for the community Provide knowledge and information on the performance of mutual funds in Indonesia.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a private multinational company engaged in chemical type commodities trading with sodium sulphate, sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide – three of the most common chemicals used in textile, pulp & paper and detergent industry – as their main traded commodities. However, due to many opportunities available and the company’s experience as an international trader, marketing plan should not be ignored especially when the company is still relatively new as a supplier. Based on last year sales revenue alone, PT. XYZ placed third among four other companies, placing PT. XYZ as a market follower and thus needed to formulate an offensive strategy to achieve higher sales. The method used in this study is by using SOAR tool instead of SWOT analysis and translated into Treacy and Wiersema’s value disciplines. consisted of three strategies, i.e. operational excellence, customer intimacy and product leadership. The study found that there is a need  for the company to use a combined strategy of operational excellence and customer intimacy.

Abstract

Along with the changing times and changes in consumer behavior in today's digital era, it encourages companies to adapt, not only from external factors but also from the company's internal factors. Existing leadership methods must be able to connect employees from different ages and backgrounds. In addition to leadership style, organizational culture is also an important consideration in today's business competition. This study aims to know and analyze simultaneously the influence of leadership style and organizational culture on the performance of employees in the Human Capital Management Division of PT Bank Central Asia, Tbk. This study uses quantitative analysis methods. Data collection was carried out with questionnaires distributed to employees of the Human Capital Management division at PT Bank Central Asia, Tbk. This study uses multiple linear analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self efficacy and education on the intention of entrepreneurship with social environment as a moderation variable. Methods of data collection using questionnaires. The respondents of this research are students of Faculty of Economics University Tarumanagara. The study was conducted in May 2018. The method of data analysis using multiple regression with the moderation variable. The results of the study conclude that self efficacy and education have a positive effect on the intention of entrepreneurship. Social environment variables deserve to be a moderation variable because there is an effect of self efficacy and education on the intention of entrepreneurship moderated by social environment..

Abstract

This study aims to analyze brand image, brand awareness, corporate social responsibility and market segmentation related to purchasing decisions on XYZ products. In this research data collection method used is online questionnaire and offline questionnaire to know the factors sought by customer in choosing product of XYZ. The sample is 130 respondents who consumed XYZ products. Data analysis method used is regression analysis. Based on the result of the research, the results shows that brand awareness, corporate social responsibility and market segmentation have positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. Brand image has a positive but not significant toward purchasing decision.
