Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media, influencers, and the fear of missing out (FOMO) phenomenon on cryptocurrency investment decisions. In the digital era, social media has become a key channel for information and communication, including in finance and investment. Influencers on platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook often serve as sources of investment recommendations, particularly among Generation Z. At the same time, FOMO drives Generation Z to make investment decisions out of fear of being left behind by emerging trends. This research employs a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to Generation Z respondents in Medan. The findings reveal that social media, influencers, and FOMO significantly affect investment decisions, with social media exerting the strongest influence in shaping quick and high-risk choices. Overall, the study shows that Generation Z’s cryptocurrency investment decisions are more emotionally driven—through social media, influencers, and FOMO—than based on rational information.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) strategically support the national economy. However, they still face various limitations, particularly regarding capital, technological access, and competitiveness. The company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program is believed to boost the capacity building of MSMEs, but its effectiveness depends on internal factors of the recipients, including their innovation capabilities. This study aims to analyse the role of innovation capability in moderating the influence of CSR on the performance of PT Arutmin Indonesia Site Asamasam fostered MSMEs. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a survey technique through questionnaires distributed to mentored MSME actors. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The research findings indicate that CSR has a positive but non-significant effect on MSME performance. Conversely, innovation capability was proven to dominate in improving MSME performance through product development, quality improvement, and business process efficiency. However, innovation capability has not been proven to strengthen the relationship between CSR and MSME performance. This finding confirms that the performance of MSMEs is more determined by internal innovation capacity than by external support through CSR programs alone.

Abstract

The increasing use of influencers in digital marketing strategies encourages the importance of understanding the factors that shape satisfaction with influencers and their impact on consumer purchase intentions. This study aims to analyze the effect of attractiveness, trustworthiness, expertise, electronic word of mouth (E-WOM), brand trust, and brand image on purchase intention, with influencer satisfaction as a mediating variable. This research method uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through a questionnaire survey to 200 Bobby Saputra followers with a convenience sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that attractiveness, expertise, brand trust, and brand image have a positive effect on influencer satisfaction, where visual appeal, expertise, and perception and trust in the brand are key factors in shaping satisfaction with influencers. Conversely, trustworthiness and E-WOM did not show a significant effect on influencer satisfaction, indicating that personal trust and digital communication are not enough to create satisfaction directly. In relation to purchase intention, it was found that attractiveness, E-WOM, brand trust, brand image, and influencer satisfaction have a positive and significant effect, which confirms the importance of visual aspects, brand reputation, and positive experiences with influencers in driving purchase intention. Meanwhile, trustworthiness and expertise do not have a significant effect on purchase intention, indicating that emotional considerations and brand perceptions are more dominant than personal credibility or technical competence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work culture, work motivation, and work environment on employee job satisfaction at PT PLN (Persero) Customer Service Unit (ULP) Singaraja. The phenomenon underlying this research is the mismatch between the company’s promoted work culture values and actual practices in the field, the decline in employee motivation due to heavy workloads, and the suboptimal physical work environment conditions. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population consists of all 121 employees of PLN ULP Singaraja, with a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 21. The results show that work culture and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while the work environment has a positive but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affect job satisfaction, with work motivation being the most dominant factor. These findings emphasize that improving employee job satisfaction is more effectively achieved through strengthening individual motivation and internalizing work culture values, accompanied by maintaining the existing work environment. This study is expected to serve as a strategic reference for management in designing policies to enhance employee well-being and productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial performance and sustainability performance on stock prices, as well as to examine the moderating role of earnings management in coal sub-sector companies in Southeast Asia. The study uses secondary data obtained from financial statements and sustainability reports of coal companies in Southeast Asia during the 2018–2022 period with a total of 105 observations. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the assistance of SPSS version 26.The results indicate that financial performance has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, while sustainability performance does not have a significant effect. Furthermore, earnings management is proven to moderate the relationship between financial performance and stock prices positively, but it negatively moderates the relationship between sustainability performance and stock prices. This study contributes to the finance and sustainability literature by integrating financial performance, sustainability performance, and earnings management practices into a single research model within the coal sector in Southeast Asia. Previous studies mostly focused on the direct relationship between financial or ESG performance and stock prices, while this study highlights the role of earnings management as both a strengthening and weakening factor in such relationships. This research provides practical implications for investors to consider not only profitability but also governance transparency in order to avoid information distortion caused by earnings management. For regulators, the findings can serve as a basis for strengthening sustainability reporting requirements in coal companies. For corporate management, the study emphasizes the importance of integrating sustainability with sound governance practices to enhance long-term firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of workload, work environment, and compensation on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously, at Koperasi Simpan Pinjam (KSP) Karya Abadi in Buleleng. Employee performance has become a critical focus due to inconsistent achievement of monthly work targets and indications of imbalance between workload and received compensation. Adopting a quantitative approach, the study involved all 30 employees of KSP Karya Abadi as the research sample, using a census sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 25.0. The findings reveal that workload has a negative and significant effect on employee performance, while work environment and compensation each have a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly influence employee performance. These results underscore the importance of balanced workload management, a supportive work environment, and fair compensation as key factors in enhancing employee productivity and, consequently, strengthening cooperative business performance.
