Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies implemented by UD Yasiira in maintaining its existence in the midst of increasingly competitive business competition, especially in the school and office supplies sector. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation of UD Yasiira owners and employees. The results of the study show that UD Yasiira implements four main strategies, namely: (1) customer loyalty, by building long-term relationships through personal service and intense communication; (2) digital marketing, utilizing social media such as Instagram and WhatsApp for promotion and customer interaction; (3) customer relationship management (CRM), through the management of customer data and personalized services; and (4) building customer trust, by maintaining product quality and service transparency. This strategy is considered effective in maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty, as well as encouraging sustainable business growth. With a combination of differentiation approach and cost leadership, UD Yasiira is able to increase competitiveness and maintain its existence as an MSME in the digital era. This research is expected to be a reference for business actors in developing adaptive and customer-oriented marketing strategies.

Abstract

The sports and recreation industry plays an important role in supporting microeconomic development by generating local business growth and employment opportunities. Billiard facilities, such as VT House Billiard, contribute to this sector by providing a venue for skill development and leisure activities. This study investigates the determinants of customer revisit intention and their broader implications for microeconomic development in the local community. Specifically, it examines how perceived price, service quality, positive emotional experience, and store atmosphere influence customer satisfaction, which in turn affects electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) and revisit intention among VT House Billiard visitors. Data were collected from 259 customers and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that all proposed factors positively impact customer satisfaction, which significantly drives both e-WOM and the intention to revisit. These results suggest that enhancing customer experience not only benefits business sustainability but also contributes to the microeconomic growth of the local area through increased patronage and community engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine the efficiency of productivity at the village level, which is influenced by village assistance, community income, and workforce skills in Pamekasan Regency. Although the region has a relatively high Human Development Index (HDI), it is not accompanied by an increase in per capita GRDP, indicating that productivity efficiency remains suboptimal. Survey findings show that most village communities in Pamekasan produce outputs below their optimal potential. This research offers a comprehensive approach by integrating three key variables village assistance, income, and labor skills into a single case study. A non-parametric deterministic frontier method was employed using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with STATA 14. The results show that some Decision Making Units (DMUs) achieved full efficiency under constant returns to scale (CRS), while others remained inefficient under decreasing returns to scale (DRS). The study concludes that village assistance, community income, and workforce skills significantly influence the productivity efficiency of rural communities. Most villages affiliated with BUMDes have shown the ability to manage their resources efficiently to support community productivity.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Special Allocation Funds (DAK) and General Allocation Funds (DAU) on Regional Capital Expenditures in Regencies and Cities in Indonesia in 2021. The findings indicate that DAK does not have a significant positive effect on capital expenditures, while DAU has a positive and significant impact. However, simultaneous testing results show that DAK and DAU together significantly influence capital expenditures, as evidenced by an F-value of 72.050 with a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). These results suggest that while DAK individually does not directly impact capital expenditures, its combination with DAU plays a crucial role in supporting regional investment and infrastructure development. Therefore, optimizing DAK management is necessary to enhance its flexibility and effectiveness in financing capital expenditures, ensuring a more direct contribution to regional development. Local governments should allocate DAU wisely, not only for routine expenditures but also for long-term investments that drive economic growth. Additionally, improving transparency and accountability in budget management is essential to ensure that allocated funds are utilized effectively and efficiently. Future research is recommended to incorporate other variables, such as Local Revenue (PAD) and Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH), to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing regional capital expenditures in subsequent years

Abstract

Indonesia has a very wide water area, making it one of the countries with great potential in developing the fisheries industry, especially in leading commodities such as lobster. This study was conducted to examine various factors that impact the value of Indonesian lobster exports to six major trading partner countries, namely China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and South Korea throughout 2018 to 2023. This study uses several independent variables including lobster prices, consumption tastes (Ratio), GDP per capita of destination countries, export value (FOB), export quantity, and economic distance. This study uses a quantitative approach by utilizing secondary data in the form of panel data, consisting of a time series from 2018 to 2023 and cross-country data for six export destination countries. Information was obtained from official sources such as BPS, Trade Economic, World Bank, and the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP). Based on the results of the analysis, the Common Effect Model (CEM) approach was identified as the most appropriate model in this study compared to other approaches. The results of the F test show that all independent variables have a significant influence on the value of Indonesian lobster exports, both simultaneously and partially. The determination value (R²) of 65.94% indicates that the regression model is able to explain most of the variation in the value of lobster export trade. The results of this study play a significant role in supporting the formulation of policies to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian fishery exports in the international market.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the Female Labor Force Participation Rate (FLFPR), Percentage of Women Who Have Ever Accessed the Internet (PPMI), Percentage of Female Population, Average Years of Schooling (AYS) for women, and Female School Participation Rate (SPR) on the Gender Empowerment Index (GEI) in Central Java Province during the period 2019–2023. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data and applies panel data regression analysis through the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results show that PPMI has a significant positive effect on GEI, while FLFPR, Percentage of Female Population, AYS for women, and SPR do not have a significant effect. The insignificant variables indicate that improvements in formal education, the proportion of the female population, and labor force participation alone are insufficient to substantially enhance gender empowerment. Conversely, PPMI emerges as a key factor, as internet access broadens women’s opportunities to acquire information, skills, and networks, thereby increasing their capacity, participation, and bargaining power in economic, political, and social spheres, and serving as a strategic catalyst for accelerating gender empowerment policies at the regional level.

Abstract

This research analyzes the utilization of natural resources as tourist attractions to increase local community income, with a case study on the Soda Water Baths in Tarutung , one of only two natural soda springs worldwide. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with field methods through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, the study finds that this tourist attraction has stimulated the growth of micro-enterprises such as food stalls, souvenir sellers, and parking services, significantly contributing to the local economy. However, the income remains fluctuating and highly dependent on holidays, weather, and major events. Challenges include minimal digital promotion, lack of structured management, limited infrastructure, and privately managed tourism land. Therefore, developing Soda Water Bath tourism requires cross-sector collaboration, digital-based MSME empowerment, and sustainable tourism policies to ensure stable and equitable economic benefits for the local community.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of region-based supervision at the Pratama Tax Service Office (KPP Pratama) Pasuruan with the objective of improving taxpayer compliance and revenue realization. Employing a qualitative research approach, data were collected through interviews with tax officials and taxpayers, open-ended questionnaires, observations, and document reviews. The analysis combined descriptive thematic methods with SWOT analysis to capture both internal and external factors influencing supervision effectiveness. Findings reveal that KPP Pratama Pasuruan demonstrates strong employee commitment, effective use of technology, and structured procedures, which contribute to its consistent revenue achievements. However, challenges remain, including limited human resources, weaknesses in IT integration, and insufficient supervision evaluations. The SWOT results position the office in Quadrant I (aggressive strategy), indicating that strengths and opportunities outweigh weaknesses and threats. Consequently, the study recommends growth-oriented strategies such as optimizing information technology integration (CRM, SIDJP, GIS), segmenting taxpayers by compliance risk, intensifying education and outreach programs, strengthening inter-agency collaboration, and enhancing internal supervisory capacity. These findings provide both practical insights for improving regional tax administration in Indonesia and theoretical contributions to the discourse on compliance management, digitalization, and administrative reform.

Abstract

After the Covid-19 pandemic ended, MSMEs selling online increased. However, price competition in the digital market is very tight, so MSMEs with small capital cannot compete with large companies that have entered the digital market first. The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of using digital marketing, financial inclusion and financial literacy on business performance which is mediated through self-efficacy. This research tests causality through a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 100 MSMEs in Kendal, Indonesia. The sample in this study was selected based on purposive sampling with certain criteria. The data analysis method uses linear regression analysis which is tested statistically via SmartPLS. The results of this research found that the use of digital marketing can influence or improve business performance. The use of digital marketing can also increase the self-confidence of MSMEs in managing their business (self efficacy). Ease of access to use financial products and services (Financial inclusion) can improve business performance. Then the ease of accessing financial products and services can also increase self-confidence to be successful (self-efficacy) in managing a business. Self-efficacy cannot mediate the influence of digital marketing, financial literacy and financial inclusion on business performance
