Abstract

Coffee is inherently a halal product, requiring no further scrutiny regarding its halal status in essence. However, from cultivation to distribution to consumers, there are critical points that necessitate further analysis. This study aims to: (1) explore the halal certification process for coffee products, and (2) develop a halal supply chain model for coffee products. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing a case study method to provide an in-depth examination of a specific case within a particular location. The research object is Bulan Madu Coffee in Bondowoso Regency, with subjects selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through Miles and Huberman's flow model technique. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that: (1) the halal certification process for Bulan Madu Coffee follows a regular system with tiered halal audits, and (2) the halal supply chain model implemented is a traceability model, which analyzes critical halal points from upstream to downstream. This model assures consumers that, despite being an SME product, Bulan Madu Coffee has obtained official halal certification and is overseen by halal supervisors.

Abstract

In the framework of Islamic economics, every individual is guaranteed equal opportunities to access education and employment, provided that it does not violate Islamic legal principles. The concept of justice in Islamic economics serves to establish a prosperous and equitable society. This study aims to analyze the influence of socio-economic patriarchal cultural values, the level of educational attainment, and the unemployment rate on women's labor force participation rate (TPAK) in Indonesia from an Islamic economics perspective. The research employs panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia using a saturated sampling method. Data analysis was conducted using EViews 10 software. The findings reveal that socio-economic patriarchal cultural values, educational attainment, and unemployment rates collectively influence women's labor force participation rates in Indonesia. From an Islamic economics perspective, increasing women's participation in the workforce can be achieved by encouraging their involvement in economic activities, motivating them to work, and improving their access to education and career opportunities.

Abstract

Humans continuously engage in various activities, encompassing both divine obligations (hablumminallah) and social interactions (hablumminannas). Islam provides clear guidance on permissible credit transaction schemes and prohibits those that lead to riba. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing the thoughts of Zaid bin Ali through a review of journal articles published on Google Scholar. The research aims to explore Zaid bin Ali's perspective on the concept of credit in Islamic economics and to analyze its relevance to contemporary Islamic financing practices. The findings reveal that, according to Zaid bin Ali, credit transactions with higher prices than cash payments are permissible, provided they are based on mutual agreement and consent between the parties involved. This perspective aligns with the practices of Islamic financial institutions, as regulated by DSN MUI Fatwa No. 04/DSN-MUI/2000.

Abstract

This research aims to examine parot fish marketing strategies through SOAR (strength, opportunity, aspirations, result) analysis in an Islamic economic review in Sungai Duren sub-district, Jambi Province. The importance of this research is that parot fish is part of the freshwater fish cultivation commodity with urgent economic value. Marketing of parot fish between fish farmers, collectors or consumers can provide efficiency in activities in the field. However, this condition sometimes experiences market access problems, which have an impact on the continued existence of parot fish cultivation businesses. This research uses qualitative methods. The results of the research show that in order for parot fish cultivation to be successful in the future, it is necessary to change the parot fish cultivation strategy itself and change the marketing strategy, which was initially carried out in ponds, changing to the form of cages which are very popular with the public, so that the profits obtained are as expected.

Abstract

The implementation of Mudharabah for chicken farming businesses in Sharia Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes Syariah) faces quite big challenges related to understanding concepts and business risk management. The aim is to identify the benefits and challenges of implementing Mudarabah. The method used was a case study approach involving five administrators as informants using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results show that although the implementation of Mudharabah profit sharing has had a positive impact on increasing capital and chicken farming business performance, there are several obstacles such as a lack of understanding of the Mudharabah concept and weak risk management. So intensive training and assistance is needed from sharia financial institutions regarding the proper implementation of Mudharabah. This research has implications for the development of Islamic economic theory and provides practical guidance for managers in optimizing the implementation of Mudharabah. This research underlines the need for more in-depth education and training as well as government policy support for the successful implementation of Mudharabah in the livestock sector and other small and medium enterprises.

Abstract

In the Madura region, collaboration between landowners and tenant farmers is commonly observed. One such collaboration occurs in tobacco farming. The Madurese community practices the tellon profit-sharing system in tobacco farming partnerships. This study aims to understand how the tellon profit-sharing system is implemented in the tobacco farming practices of the Madurese community. It also seeks to evaluate the alignment of the tellon system with Islamic economics principles. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing literature reviews and direct interviews involving landowners and tenant farmers. These parties engage in collaborative efforts in tobacco farming and implement the tellon profit-sharing system. The findings reveal that cooperation within the Madurese community is driven by mutual dependency. The tellon profit-sharing system, rooted in mutual agreement between the parties, aligns with the principles of Islamic profit-sharing systems.
