This paper is focusing on the availability of colection in University Library and how the concept of developing the colection activity. The purpose is to understand deeply in developing the colection activity in University Library. The success of university library in developing the colection is determined by three stages: 1) doing the analysis toward Librarian, 2) library’s policy of developing the colection, 3) doing the selection of library material, 4) acquisition, the activity of procument the library colection, 5) weeding colection activity because it is unrelevant with the need of librarian, and 6) always doing evaluation toward the library’s colection due to fulfill the need of librarian. The library in university has to anticipate the problem that is faced in developing the library colection and library should provide adequate sources due to lauch the process of developing the colection in order to effort the continuity and acceleration of developing the colection. library’s consistency is expected to be effective program and have a certain quality in developing the library colection.

This paper aims to describe about the process of acquisition at Tunas Aulia Library, Primary School of Syuhada Mosque. Methods of data collection through interviews and observations with the type of research that is qualitative descriptive. This paper identifies and describes some of the implications of the acqusition in Tunas Aulia Library are purchases, donations, deposits, making or printing in the form of bulletins, and prizes. Collections held to support students’ information needs include textbooks, fiction books, non-fiction, encyclopedias, and various dictionaries. Acquisition of collections is only a collection of printed books, not digital collections.

Librarian is a profession that requires education or training to manage the library. The professionalism of librarians should be increased because the librarian is an important element in the library. If the library does not want to be left pemustaka and want to continue to progress and evolve, the librarian should develop a professional attitude in order to create a positive image. A professional librarian who not only required to master the skill and technique of the library, but his soul felt called to become a librarian and aware that the profession of librarian is the servant of the library patron.

Perpustakaan menjadisarana penghubung atau jembatan yang menyambungkan antara sumber informasidengan para pemustaka, sehingga keberadaannya sangat penting sebagai sarana mediasumber belajar.

The digitalization technology is growing rapidly, especially DSLR cameras andcontactless scanners. This study describes the two technologies, along with variousproblems that arise in its application for the preservation of rare book contentsin UGM’s Library. Divided into sub topics of technological innovation, editingsoftware, performance achievements and problems encountered during 4 years ofits implementation. The explanations of digitalization technology over contactlessscanners and digital cameras are focused on a variety of fundamental and indispensablemain settings, tailored to the advancement of science and technology. It was foundthat the biggest problems are inadequate human resource capacity, limited storage,limited infrastructure, and rare collection management. Although encountered variousobstacles and limitations, the achievement of digitalization activities is quite proud, asit successfully digitized a number of 1,407 rare book titles.

The topic discussed in this research is how is the implementation of the collection management of library material for inmates in correctional facility level IIA of Wirogunan Yogyakarta (Based on Guidelines for Library Service to Prisoners by IFLA). The research employs descriptive-qualitative approach. Researchers will investigate and explain the facts narratively to be further described as they have been found in the field. Researchers will describe the results with comparator indicators that use the standard collection management for prisoners. The research end to the conclusion that the implementation of the collection management of library material for inmates in corectional facility level IIA Wirogunan Yogyakarta (Based on Guidelines for Library Service to Prisoners by IFLA)is already establised, but still many not yet according to standard which writer make as indicator. Lack of facilities that fit the ergonomics, still not according to the needs of the user, the collection of the number is still lacking, and staff who are far from expectations because it is not from a professional librarian.

Religion in the present era is inseparable from commodification. The change in theparadigm of religion which regulates human life delivered through tauziah-tauziahin pengajian or mosque is now beginning to shift to the culture of commodificationthrough advertising on television media. This shift began to penetrate the media usedin understanding the teachings of Islam which are more acceptable to the people of the present era by using halal labels in them. This article discusses the commodification of religion through television advertising case studies on halal-labeled advertisements. The method used is a library research that will be described narratively. The results of the discussion of this article are the existence of new phenomena in expressing Islamic values in the lives of individuals in the current technological era. The presence of Islam that is accepted taken for grated, namely an individual prefers what is in accordance with him and in accordance with his religion. So what is not appropriate will be considered not as the identity of the individual. Besides that there is destabilized identify, that is religion is used as an alternative to create a new identity. In addition, these signs have led to the concept of symbolic capital, a position where an identity can shape the position of an individual in his social class

This study aims to explain the implementation of procurement collection library materials printed on central library Janabadra Yogyakarta, this study used qualitative methods by data collection in the form of observation and interview. Based on procurement activities conducted that the library Janabadra Yogyakarta apply method 2 that is 1. Procurement through the purchase with the publisher a year 2 times. 2 procurement of library materials through gifts / donations from internal and external parties. In conducting library procurement activities in collaboration with lecturers and students in fulfilling the collection in the library that remains based on the development of science and the applicable syllabus. Recommendations from the authors to the library make written policy as the basis of procurement activities and procurement methods are added so that the available collection more diverse.

Human resource development is the personnel development activities in order to meet the desired career plan. Librarians in the organization of the library is expected to develop its potential. For that, it takes several factors in the career development of librarians and can not be denied that there will be issues in it. For development factors, including 1) fairness in career librarians; 2) care and supervision of a body builder; 3) awareness of career opportunities; 4) interest librarian; 5) librarian career satisfaction. While the issues in the career development of librarians, among them 1) membership librarian; 2) doubt in promotion; 3) the enforceability of the career development of librarians; 4) career opportunities for librarians; 5) diversity librarian position; 6) promotion of librarians; 7) the organization’s commitment to a career librarian.

The online journal is one of the sources of information from various sources of information availability, available good from the hearts and abroad to get literature review. It is influenced by the development of technology and information wichis increasingly advanced so that information can be obtained easily.Along with advances in information technology (ICT), efforts in obtaining and providing information is not limited to the distance, space, and time. The use of the online journal by researchers and extension workers are rarely used. The use of the online journal by researchersand extension workers are rarely used. Effort to examine the use of online journals was conducted to determine show far the use of the online journal by researchers, extension workers, and other library user in IAIT Yogyakarta. The studies was conducted in September 2015 and arranged in randomized design with 30 respondents. The result of this studies showed that (1) frequency of using journal online are more dominant in one to two times a week wich is done by 22 library user (73,34%), (2) the length of time utilization for accessing online journals most are one to two hours wich is done by 13 library user (43,34%), (3) the level of ability of library user wich using Boolean operator AND, OR, NOT evidently 11 library user does not understand (36,67%), (4) the action to download from the search result conducted by is library user (50%), (5) The access point information in the most preferred search by keyword is done by 21 library user (70%), (6) the purpose of utilizing the online journal access research were 12 library user (40%), (7) completeness of information required by library user perceived by 23 library user (76,66%), (8) accesing online journal wich are mostly done at the work space is as much as 20 library user (66,67%), (9) the domestic online journals are more affractive was choosen by 17 library user (56,66%).
